Found out my friend's birth time tonight!

Ta-da!

Was so smooth about it! Not. Anyway we hung out and had the most fantastic all encompassing conversation (LL should use video chat already, it's 2015! ) much hilarity and enjoyment and telling all about our lives and feelings bringing up really good things/memories/stories/associations.. deeply personal widely applicable).. just generally across the board deeply engaged. Good stuff! I mentioned to him about his Mars/Mercury on my descendant and of the incredibly thin membrane between i and you i was feeling, that axis is so fascinating. It isn't linear at all--we bleed into one another.

The composite Moon is conjunct Amor.. I thought so but now seeing it at the end of the twelfth house and with the degrees at 18 and 19 it just feels even more intense.

So his MC is very near my IC and vice versa (o course).. can't remember all I've heard about this one but I think there were positive reviews..

The composite is interesting... AND his Moon is 0 Aries, conjunct my Mars and square my Saturn/Uranus and, 8 degrees wide--so quite?--squaring my Moon!

My Psyche and my Sun/Moon midpoint are on his descendant (1' orb), as well as quite near his Jupiter (2') and Uranus. All of that is trine my Eros @ 13 Aries (which is in my sixth house... lol I'm ananimal!)..

So excellent, his Jupiter/Uranus descendant--he's such a skilled relater, so eloquent and careful and brilliant, got his stuff to work through but so do we all! I love him through all of it, like friends do). anyway I really deeply appreciate him and it is super reciprocal and kind. He really is a champ relater.

We put our Junos in one another's fourth houses. I'm just happy to have such an amazing friend back in my life.

We're both ultra Neptunian and 12th house centric, him even moreso with many personal planets there.. and his Moon square his Neptune (which is conjunct my Saturn-Uranus). The composite also focuses on the 12th. This makes good sense to me. It's been a particularly other worldly and yet encompassing and beautiful journey, the difficulties we went through have only helped us increase empathy with the world and within our own hearts...as we expand outward and experience, you know?

My PlutoMercury just framez the composite MC.

And here's an article about Moon conjunct Mars in natals which describes the course of our relationship over the last 5 years EXTREMELY accurately. Like, to the letter almost. It's strange!

"

Moon and Mars contacts involve the psychological relationship between instinctive and emotional patterns with an ability to act decisively by applying a consistent will directed toward achieving aims. The conjunction indicates you have strong emotions and feelings which influence perceptions and decisions. Their intensity may often feel uncomfortable and frightening, especially in situations of heightened passion or confrontation. You are aware that unleashing these energies often results in displays of temper, emotional outbursts, and anger, and that your sometimes belligerent style of disagreeing with others is actually a form of self-defense. Being overly sensitive to others' reactions and having emotional anxiety can create a mental state where you imagine that others criticize or plot against you. Before such situations are proven real, you are ready to retaliate. Until a deeper integration and understanding of these energies occurs, you may find that contentious relationships continue. Those erratic and volatile emotions help to stimulate inner agitation, and this friction spills over into your exchanges with others. While you want to form better relationships, there are often problems with co-operation and trust, at work and in intimate partnerships. You are both attracted to and repulsed by emotional intimacy, often unable to deal with powerful feelings due to emotional immaturity; and others may sense these raging feelings and withdraw from closer contact. Rejection strikes into your deepest core. Reacting against the pain, you often strike out verbally with unkind words designed to damage and wound, or throw childish temper tantrums when needs are denied. You are liable to brood on any rejection, often continuing to criticize someone to friends for a long time afterward. Perceptions of losing erode a fragile self-esteem. One of your major problems may be self-preoccupation; concerned with your private emotional world, you fail to recognize that others have needs too, and that they are also emotionally sensitive. Your world is egocentric and revolves around your desires, expecting others to serve your needs, and rejecting attempts at compromise. Being unaware of these tendencies is no excuse; failing to acknowledge that others have an equal sensitivity is a denial of reality. If you react against criticism, then so do others from you. You need to realize that others' needs are as important as yours. Compromise between all concerned is necessary to minimize conflicts. Emotional reactions distort your perceptions and evaluations, influencing choices, decisions, and actions; and sometimes these may contradict rationality. This apparently negative portrayal of Moon-Mars conjunctions can, however, be transformed into a more positive approach. Much depends on an honest appraisal of your relationships, and of how you deal with inner difficulties, especially identifying how you project emotional frustrations onto others close to you, making these relationships fail to satisfy and later collapse. These intense feelings can be directed toward positive aims designed to shape constructive action. If you consciously attempt - even for a short time - to project yourself into the position of others and to imagine how life is from their perspective by seeing through their eyes and feeling through their heart, then your egocentric world may be transformed, and your latent sympathy and understanding awakened. Moon and Mars can work successfully together, once inner adjustments are made; and feelings of personal anguish and frustration are reduced by developing awareness of others' needs. Then you may discover a new meaning and purpose to life. There can be a crusading spirit about this energy supported by powerful, assertive Martian qualities, which can increase persistence and opportunities for eventual success. This could initiate a real transformation.

^^this was just spot on for us. When you get so specific it's unlikely you'll be accurate 100% of the time... but when you are hooo boy! Amazing. I dunno. It wo r ked for me!

So reading descriptions of natal aspects gives us really explicit clues about relating on those levels I think. Especially if there are strong descendant aspects feeling pretty in love right now, not in a clingy way but in a really pleasant way. Yessss.

Aha! And as i suspected this evening a subtle (?) but extremely significant overlay of my Amor/Pallas in his 9th nand his Pallas in my 3rd. Our 3rd and 9th houses are opposite one another. We learned and taught, received and gave, so comprehensively, twas breathtaking. I noticed my Mars sextile his Venus causes me to sort of act as i would with a girl friend, and admiring his Venusian qualities and such. It was extremely pleasant. Going to check out Sappho in a bit here! Will post charts eventually i just want to gush a little and give my interpretations of significance and go to bed and hopefully i can get myself to do that soon!

Our Suns are in one another's sixth. There is a strong feeling of willingness to work here... it has been difficult but the continuous willingness to work towards understanding one another and it is quite joyful. I think the mutual house relationship of Suns and Pallas sort of describe this for me. We are really learning from one another. I think there's a resonance between the 6th and 9th, 3rd and 12th.. anyhow.

His Moon in my 5th, my Moon-Nep in his 8th!

I think we've matured and aren't likely to mess up this time. Just going to keep it simple and be good friends. So fulfilling! Seriously, wow. With the being there for another! And the making leaf huts. Just good you know?

Oh yeah and something else.. this way it's all written down.... ood to journal. public journal, only a hint of the whole story and with a decidedly astrological bent to it!

His AC and IC in Gemini and Aqua trine my Venus in Libra, bout 4 degrees but it's felt. My Venus is particularly sensitive and that along with the Sun opposition to my Venus forms a ghosty Kite, involving angles... if you'll forgive the 3-4 degree orbs

man. That Moon at 0 Aries of his... just such a lot of energy coursing through this person man... he feels so intensely, everything. So artistic, the Neptune square only adds to that flow of brilliance. He's pretty sharp i tells ya, pretty grounded.. the Mars/Mercury in Taurus opposite Saturn like that... he's figuring stuff out anyway, you know? And I've a lot of empathy for his struggle, i had mentioned the similarities between us in terms of hard Mars-Saturn aspects natally in another thread here.. but yeah, we both have them and yep wwe're both learning! For me it's Saturn-Uranus square my Mars and for him it's Mars-Mercury opposite his Saturn... so we have Mercury and the higher octave thereof at play also.

And my North Node is both contraparallel aand Novile his Sun, which just makes so much sense given the way I feel talking to him and being around him. It's a good thing guys, I'm learning! I'm living. Ahh. Goodness.

Good night! Thanks for reading. Who knows what the future holds. Just grateful for this night and this good sleep coming!

I love how you write.

And it's so cute that you go on and on!

My friend is dating a man with with moon in early Aries tightly conjunct his ex-wife's Mars, they were together over 40 years.

I had moon-Mars in synastry and it collapsed relatively fast under the weight of its own pressure (and this was in Gemini, which doesn't love pressure.) But I like this in your reading!

quote:
Moon and Mars can work successfully together, once inner adjustments are made; and feelings of personal anguish and frustration are reduced by developing awareness of others' needs. Then you may discover a new meaning and purpose to life. There can be a crusading spirit about this energy supported by powerful, assertive Martian qualities, which can increase persistence and opportunities for eventual success. This could initiate a real transformation.

Hope that's true! Good luck to you two.

^^ Well the story is.. one time years ago I told him, angry and hurt by his apparent disloyalty and rejection of me, terribly in love, wounded and jealous... I said to him:

"Your love is selfish love!"

He found it hard to forgive me saying such a thing... he's very sensitive and proceeded to try to teach me how to be careful in some kind of condescending ways which were well intended... I get it... the Saturn ascendant thing.. anyway, though I made as many verbal and textual amends as possible, over the years we never regained the same level of friendship and intimacy until recently (and where we're at now is deeper than it was by far and more mature), but we have both very much mulled over that whole concept of selfishness in relationship and I'm still learning how to honour the other really well...

A huge component, woven throughout our whole conversation last night, was just how important doing for others is, small kindness, compassion... how important connection is... There's a pretty deep seated and hard won acknowledgment of one another's individual reality and right to exist in our own rights and have needs... and interact with the world in that loving way.

I mean, that WHOLE Pelletier article down to the positive last bit describes the course of the thing. Minus a lot of factors but still--Extraordinary.

Anyway..

His Vertex is at 4 Scorpio, 2 degrees off my Ascendant... and so that means too that what we have here is a double whammy Vertex-Karma conjuction. The Vertex Ascendant should maybe take precedence in my mind but the D/W is a thang eh

Edit-oh I guess Ascendant-Vertex double whammies are also a (normal?) Thing. My vertex is 8 degrees wide of his Asc. Seems that's how it goes, because math?

Oh and his vertex is on the composite South Node exact. Hmm. If nothing else it's a fun synastry to mull over! That pesky Saturn-Ascendant thing i said i'd never do again. Harumph.

And thank you thank you for the well wishes, Faith. I'm trying to keep humble and moderate and just see how things go and be grateful for things as they are. I just like sharing the significant stuff I see with anybody interested thanks for being interested!

With transiting Uranus opposition my Venus right now and getting ready to hit my DSC in a couple years this is just my speed.

He's in love with his best friend who is unavailable... He's going through some stuff. He's often in love with the unavailable... my sister knew him when they were teenagers and it was the same all that time ago... something tragi-comic if you've got enough distance from it but super difficult to see your way out of such patterns when inside of them... it's about his natal Mars/Mercury - Saturn opposition... or the Venus Chiron conjunction.. hmm. Anyway, we've all got our stuff. .

"We've all got our stuff"...

Yes, been thinking of that a lot lately.

So this relationship does not have romance potential? Sorry to put you on the spot but if you said that, between the lines, I missed it.

"Edit-oh I guess Ascendant-Vertex double whammies are also a (normal?) Thing. My vertex is 8 degrees wide of his Asc. Seems that's how it goes, because math?"

No I don't think so. I am almost positive I have a Vertex-ASC double whammy with my father, but he's the only one.

I think Vertex-angle and Vertex-node are pretty big though? My husband's Vertex on my NN, mine on his draconic sun.

Heehee.. there were some between the lines hints but it's not black and white... and I can't say for sure, it's a mystery.. our relationship and its meaning is "beyond the veil," as he says... we don't know. If it's right it's right. Just trying to figure out what that is and where the shades of grey are. Can we have a romantic friendship? It would be new to me, and refreshing. I'm done with moving in with the person and just going nuts in close proximity and watching the slow death of undying devotion. ..

So I'm really unsure about whether i should think in romantic terms here... but as you can see above there are certain factors, astrologically speaking, which lend themselves to a pretty hearty crush. We had such a fantastic time the last two nights... I like and admire him, it's mutual, supportive n loving. But inconsistent--not to be relied too heavily upon--and fragile maybe... too early to tell... and he does that thing where he's in love with multiple people and stuff. So i don't know how deep in to get. Except that on a spirit level I feel pretty connected.. nourished and excited. That's always how it is in the glow or uniting/reuniting, excited friendship. I have lots of friends who I just adore talking to and being with. Just so happens he is a big ol cutie pants.

I think it's a good opportunity to keep things friendly for a long period of time. Something I've been promising myself I would do, and which I know is more his speed too... last time I didn't know how to bide my time (I was like 17, 18 at the time)..

We spoke openly last night of unhealthy relationship patterns and all the ridiculousness and I don't want to see either of us getting in over our heads here... he is exceedingly careful in general (but also extremely romantic and so darn cute/deep/passionate, all the things). I'm going to be guarded as possible. I'm clearly obsessing a bit at the moment, just part of the learning. Trying to observe myself within it more and more. the composite is 12th house heavy (aaagain), so there's to be lots of honesty ideally, right? Sigh..

lol it's complicated..

**

In regards to vertex asc d/ws i just thought maybe if there's a conjunction to one ascendant there will be to another as i found a thread on here where everyone with a vertex/asc synastric conjunction seemed to have wide double whammies.

I know the conjunction itself is supposed to be pretty significant and with the composite nodes there it's like... whoa. Ok, so it's meant to happen one way or another and I'll just experience the lessons and joys and hardships as they come.

Yungang, sometimes we "know" the significance of a relationship before knowing the synastry. This is so awesome! ❤

Awe thanks llewsacm it's nice that you see it that way.

Just noticed the composite asc. is conjunct my Valentine-Alma-Achilles... sigh. Sense, makes it.

((Dunno why but I've been trying to yoda lately. Did it work?))

I've got it with three people in my life. They're all extremely significant, and undoubtedly deep soul-family.

^ You have the DW with three people? I can't figure out the math because the definition of Vertex doesn't include a formula for determining it...

Does the prime vertical move?

@yungang,

Thanks for telling us more about this relationship ~ really sounds fascinating in all its complexity, especially since you have such a keen eye for all the details, and can take us on a tour of the dynamic.

Who needs movies and novels when there is LL?

This is usually way more interesting...

Faith-I figure the details are useful for statistical reasons it always helps me to read of details of others relationships and see the attendant astrology... very instructive! And yes i feel the same way! Interactive novel! I used to participate on text based fantasy roleplaying forums and it was awesome... anyway... would be fun to do that on LL somewhere another topic!

Auby, ah. Thank you. On that note, i would be interested in hearing more about how these relationships have affected you all and some more of their nature?
