Why do we focus on the Moon's nodes but not the nodes of the other planets?

Can the Node of a planet conjuncting the node of another planet be felt ? What do you think of moon northnode conjunct venus northnode?

Good question, been wondering about that myself. I think the reason is the importance given to the Moon in astrology and how the ancient ones were so much concentrating (rightfully, too) on the interaction between Sun and Moon and Earth, the primary Triad, and that relates to the Moon`s nodes.

However i think hypotthetically speaking the nodes of other planets are depicting the same hting as the lunar nodes, just in terms of the energy of that planet.
However I also believe that they need an actual planet conjuncting (or possibly squaring) them to become manifest.

Theory & Practice of Geocentric Planetary Nodes by Theodor Landscheidt

The moon’s nodes and their interpretations are only a special case. General interpretational analogies of the geocentric nodes may be derived from the cosmic phenomenon that the orbital planes of two cosmic bodies intersect each other. In astrology this is a legitimate analogy operation. It yields the interpretational principles: intersection, interface, interchange, junction, contact; connection; union, nexus, convergence, coalescence. In psychological terminology, we get: meeting, relation, connectedness. Biological terms that reflect the nodal phenomenon are cell fusion, sense organ, synapse. As to practical realizations, we may think of society, club, conference, association, cooperation, traffic-junction, crossroads, network, switch aggregates, social contact, union with a partner.

It is easy to see that the nodes cover just that wide field of human relations that generates problems astrologers meet with in their consultations. She or he who does not take into account the planetary nodes does not take advantage of this special information that amounts to about 40% of the total information embodied in a horoscope.

This implication is highlighted in detail when we look at the interpretation of the special nodes. They emerge when we combine the general interpretational principles of nodes with the well-known principles of the planets:

Mercury’s Nodes:
Principles:
Network; symbiosis; association; purposeful union.
Biology:
Nerve tissue; nerve axons; impulse conveyed by nervous system.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Association of ideas; intellectual community; formal relation; verbal exchange; dialogue; brain trust; pooling agreement; economic cooperation; contract; correspondence; marriage of convenience; youth group; mathematical matrix; computer interface.

Venus’ Nodes:
Principles:
Sensual contact; copulation; amalgamation
Biology:
Conception; maintenance of organic balance by interaction of hormones.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Emotional connection: love union; sexual act; erotic-aesthetic tie; artistic cooperation; social bond; settlement of differences; harmonic union; coalescence of form elements; engagement; marriage; group of dancers; ensemble of actors; art union; cultural exchange.

Mars’s Nodes:
Principles:
Power transmission; joint activity; conflict.
Biology:
Copulation; transfer of energy; interplay of muscles.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Cooperation; joint fight; concerted undertaking; team work; controversy; panic action; sports meeting; team of surgeon; military units; war alliance; battle; network for transmission of energy; short-circuit; conduction of heat; heat exchange; interaction of forces.

Jupiter’s Nodes:
Principles:
Organic compound; organic interaction; productive cooperation.
Biology:
Healing tissue; transplantation of an organ; organic macromolecules; blood transfusion; metabolic process; arteries and veins.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Joint happiness; creative collaboration; positive social contact; religious group; legal or moral bond; joint development; blood brotherhood; community; fraternity; religious order; guild; syndicate; state; parliamentary group; political party; trade union; agreement; contract; treaty; lawsuit; bank connection.

Saturn’s Nodes:
Principles:
Rigid connection; permanent union; cohesion of structures.
Biology:
Joints; wrists; ankles; sinews; connective tissue.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Exchange of experience; stable partnership; restrained or interrupted relationship; separation; partition; chronological or historical connection; transgression of thresholds; community of seniors; line of ancestors; genealogical tree; historical, philosophical or scientific societies; chain of cause and effect; anorganic molecules; striking the ground after fall; cement.

Uranus’ Nodes:
Principles:
Creative union; cyclic nexus; circulation.
Biology:
Stimulating sensual contact; oscillations of cell aggregates; irritation of nervous system; orgasm.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Sudden acquaintanceship; eccentric liaison; new partner; psychic resonance; grasp a connection intuitively; stimulating companion; excited family; technological team-work; revolutionary community; clash; vehement controversy; union of revolters; team of technicians; astrological association; orchestra; symphony; electromagnetic interaction; electric power line; resonance of oscillators; wireless transmission; television network; telecast interview; sudden incidents in community life.

Neptune’s Nodes:
Principles:
Immaterial connection; freedom of association; platonic relationship.
Biology:
Mental disorder; psychotic disorganization; contact with allergens; dissolution of cellular tissue; assimilate homeopathic doses of medicine or poison.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Subtle perception; supra-sensuous contact; platonic love; ethereal union; subconscious bond; dream associations; mystical union; samdhi; fraternization of mankind; homosexual relationship; secret criminal organizations; community with sick or drug addicted persons; circle of occultists; sectarian community; idealistic communism; dissolution of ties; mixture of colors; traffic jam.

Pluto’s Nodes:
Principles:
Exchange of vital information; nuclear fusion; existential connection.
Biology:
Information conveyed by regulation centers; karyogamy; schizophrenia.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Fateful relationship; karmic link; exert pressure on a partner; meeting one‘s inner life center (Self); “loss of soul”; mass meeting; nuclear fusion; nuclear fission; political influence exerted by mass media; interaction of nuclear force; wield demagogic oratory power.

Moon’s Nodes:

More special interpretative analogies had to be assigned to these nodes than the hitherto usual symbolical correspondences.

Principles:
Subconscious connection; instinctive association; relation subjected to change; contacts with the female sex.
Biology:
Exchange of fluid; sweating; sweat duct; beginning and ending of menstruation; penetration of spermatozoon into egg; delivery; cutting of umbilical cord.
Psychology, sociology, & technology:
Psychic bond; community with women or children; kinship; family contact: mother fixation; emotional relationship; conjugal union; public relations; marry and settle down; national community; feminist group; children in class.

It should be noted that such interpretations that accentuate special qualities represented by terms like link, connection, association, union, junction, etc., cannot be derived from the planets alone.

Well it sounds good of course. But, if you experience this, you're in the best position to tell us. Can you try and pinpoint how it works?

Do you feel something like a moon-Venus conjunction, even if you don't have one in synastry? Or, do you feel like you have a moon-Venus conjunction sometimes, when you are both exhibiting your more highly evolved selves...or perhaps when that conjunction gets highlighted by a transit?

'Can't say I know anyone with NN @ 0 Pisces. One friend's NN @ 28 Aqua, but I guess that's not close enough.

Bump

With thanks to Seimei

My stats:

Mean North Node
Moon 18 57' 03" Scorpio
Merc 03 50' 14" Aquarius
Venu 00 36' 21" Pisces
Mars 07 56' 24" Aries
Jupi 08 55' 31" Cancer
Satu 24 23' 39" Cancer
Uran 12 16' 42" Gemini
Nept 12 21' 59" Leo
Plut 20 03' 27" Cancer
Chir 05 13' 02" Scorpio
Cere 07 20' 17" Gemini
Pall 18 37' 14" Libra
Juno 10 59' 38" Libra
Vest 12 41' 09" Cancer

----

I'm marveling that my Juno's NN is conjunct my Pluto, also conjunct my's ex's tight stellium in Libra which includes Juno. I forget where his Juno is exactly, just the proximity to my Juno's NN gave me a shock.

My Chiron's NN on my Uranus, conjunct his NN-Uranus-my name asteroid. CHIRON is hanging out there? Makes too much sense.

Mars NN at 7 Aries conjunct my Black Moon Lilith...my head is just going bonkers. Let's just say that many of the degrees appearing above factor into my romantic history in interesting ways.

Enough to make me bump this thread and remind everyone to check their nodes!!

My boyfriend's Mars North Node conjuncts my Natal Moon - orb of 2 minutes.

And my Juno North Node will conjunct my boyfriend's Progressed Venus at some point.

Thanks for replying.

My husband's moon opposes my Mars' NN, about 2° orb. I need to check the south nodes because I think the nodes are different with planets.

Well in our case it may contribute to the physical attraction between us, like any moon-Mars aspect.

More data...I wish I had a visual aid that demonstrated why the closer planets have nodes relatively close together.

Mars 10 43' 52" Sagittarius
Jupi 11 06' 07" Capricorn
Satu 22 46' 18" Capricorn
Uran 15 22' 40" Sagittarius
Nept 10 43' 48" Aquarius
Plut 19 49' 34" Capricorn
Chir 26 02' 23" Aries
Cere 26 56' 55" Sagittarius
