He's crazy about her. But she sort of rejected him in january/february 2015. But he can't let go of her at-any-cost ... and I very much suspect they are "meant to be together" at some point in time. What do you see?

the aspect that is most destructive for a relationship is the Uranus opposed to Jupiter. this invariably shows an unstable relationship and one that will not last if it is begun.
here the nodal axis forms a semisquare/ sesquiquadrate to the Jupiter/Uranus opposition , so the instability is constant and ,insurmountable.
as for his obsession, it seems to be his need to control and dominate her as is shown by the satrun/chiron opposition. as the sun is also conjunct to chiron,he is marked with a highly critical nature and ,as said, wanted to control the relationip.
it also seems that there is an element of hypocrisy that may have truened her away. the mercury/Neptune opposition is biquintile the nodal axis. this can obscure rational thought and show using disingenuous words to gain a advantage. chrion with the sun shows a critical facuelty but this aspect also demands coherence and truth. in this situation, there is deception along with "critical" analysis in the chart.
so my opinion is that she saw through his "false entreating", and wants nothing to do with him. this fits Chiron. with coherence and truth Chiron is a loyal partner , but one lie, one misrepresentation , one insult and chiron will utterly cut the offensive person out of their life.

Wow!

Fact is, she's like his 'mom' with whom he has a pretty bad/enervating relationship. He seems to blame mommy a lot. His mom is not exactly smart, a bit unworldy but.. *endearing*. The type (I've seen her on a pic when she was young) of which you would say back then 'needing assisted living'. But his mom married his dad (a smart cop!) and... they finally divorced. He left her and their offspring for another woman and passed away 5 years later.
Core: his mom completely unable to cope with the 'heavy natures' of their sons who in fact lacked structure and support of a father figure earlier in life.

Well, this girl he's obsessed about, is also *endearing* and unworldy (his words). He even said it himself (in one of those clear thinking moments); "it will probably result in the same story as that with my parents, I'll finally leave her etc." And "I will have to drag her to here and there".

(her parents btw also divorced)

She's even born on the exact same day as his mom!

So that says pretty much I think ;D
