I'd like to know a little more about what happens when someone's planets fall into your 12th house. The sun and moon in particular. is it linked to a past life, karmic situation?
Some guy I recently met have his sun in my 12th house and I have my moon in his 12th house, but I don't quite get it, to me this house has always been a bit "passive". I don't get how it really works in the real world lol

Hi, Marandana. Yep, the 12th house is a very complex house because its deals with the unconscious a s spiritual world, with things that are "hidden", below the surface and we're not even aware about them. I'm gonna talk about my personal experiences. I have a natal Gemini Mars in the 12 house. Things I observed about me and that I linked to that placement. Sex for me is a spiritual experience, for me it's almost impossible to have sex only for fun, only on a physical level. I also have an extreme urge to take action to help other people. I just can't sit down and watch other people in need and not doing anything, if I see some kind of injustice I open my mouth and through my communication I try to do something. Now, I have my Venus in my husband's 12th house. Although he's not into Astrology we talk a lot about it and he told me that our relationship brought a lot of unconscious issues related to previous bad experiences he had with other women. He used to get mad at me for nothing and I couldn't get he was projecting his crappy unconscious memories onto me. On the other hand, he said that never in his life he felt so accepted by someone as he did with me. He felt so at home with me that he vomited all the garbage he held in and showed me the ugliest part of his personality. Also I had a hard time trusting him in the beginning and I just couldn't understand why because he never gave me a single reason for that, it was just unexplainable. As we don't have any hard Pluto contacts, the 12th house placement explained all those things in my point ov view. Planets falling into the 12th house can be positive or negative depending on the nature of the planet, the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart, the conditions of your 12th house and its ruler and also the maturity of both partners. I think his Sun would throw some light there, helping you to gain more awareness about some issues that you don't even have a clue about. That kind of experience usually is not comfortable because our psyche develops defense mechanisms and we tend to protect ourselves, deny and run away from those experiences. Considering the positive side, the Sun person can bring you a sense of trust, security and vitality to your life. For example, if you're feeling down, the Sun person can try to cheer you up and elevate your confidence and belief that things will be alright. The Moon could bring unconditional care and nurturing from the other person towards you and also a deep emotional involvement on his part with your most intimate issues. You can feel accepted and supported by the Moon person. As the Moon is a very psychic planet and the 12th is a very spiritual/ethereal house, you both can feel a very strong complicity and spiritual connection, unexplainable rationally. I've seen a few cases in which some sort of telepathy happened even with people being physically distant from one another. Considering the negative side, you can feel that the Sun person is invading your space or pushing your limits, similar to the feeling that a Mars 12th house overlay usually causes (remember the 12 house is ruled by Neptune and this planet is kind of "foggy", not used to a lot of Sun light). About the negative side of the Moon there, I could mention the risk of codependency from both sides: the Moon person can get addicted to take care of you and forget about himself and you can get addicted to the support offered by the Moon person, using it like "crutches". Hope it helps a bit.

Thank you roseelima, It helped a lot actually. The moon there and the codependency stuff is one of the things that we are experiencing right now, and to be honest I'm afraid that we'll become so attached to each other that it'll be difficult to let go just in case everything someday collapses. I know a 12th house synastry is difficult to get over.

I just want to chime in and say that I have a lot of 12th stuff going on natally. I met a man several years ago and our planets touched each other 12th houses in several ways. It was the most complex & transformative "Relationship" and to this day, I cannot explain our connection, why it happened or how it ended. I guess that;s the 12th house for ya..

Good that it helped. You also asked about past life connection. Yes, planets of someone falling into another person's 12th house indicates past life connection. The same happens when personal planets of a person conjunct or square Saturn and Pluto of another (some astrologers also consider Neptune) and when there's conjunction or square involving the south node of a person and the personal planets of another. One thing I've noticed is that when someone's Moon fall in my 12th house the sense of familiarity is immediate. I have that connection with a friend and we feel like we've known each other forever.

Yep, it makes total sense DreamCatcher. The connection is kind of ethereal and rationally unexplainable. Some people around you can't really understand when you try to describe. Unless you live it, you won't know how it feels like,
