Just want to see what everyone's experiences have been with Saturn in relationships.

What experiences have you had in your relationships when YOU were the SATURN person in hard aspect (conjunction or square) to your SO's planet? (And what planet)

What does Saturn do in your natal chart in comparison?

My natal Saturn 15Leo46 stationary direct. Former fiance Moon 17Leo32. My Mars 19Leo37, my ASC 23Leo19. My Pluto 12Leo34. So her Moon is in the middle of my Leo stellium and conjunct my Mars/Saturn midpoint. Her Leo NN conj my ASC. Her Aqua ASC opp my Leo ASC.

Most magnificent sexualove between us! So powerful that she proposed marriage, and I accepted. Large age gap.

He has sun, saturn and N.N all conjunct at 27° capricorn, it conjuncts my saturn 0° aquarius, his saturn is very prominent in his natal, so i guess he is familiar with its energy, its a completely different story for me !
I feel like he's acting like a child and wants me to act as his mother and lay out all the rules and call him out on his mistakes, and that's just not the way i roll. When i looked at our synastry i wondered (and was afraid) if i would smother him, i didn't expect to be the one who feels restricted.
Neither one of us was willing to walk away from the other (and i tried, believe me), it might have helped that our composite also has saturn conjunct ascendant.

^ This resonates with me a lot. I currently have Saturn conjunct my boyfriends' Venus (his squares mine, but he has that natally and seems familiar with the energy).

I find that it plays out in two ways: We are a completely different couple right now than we were at the start; we hold each other accountable, we're responsible for our actions in the relationship, we frequently face our past issues, etc. The square bothers me when I feel that he is being cold, which is something I have to get used to when he's stressed. The conjunction is even weirder for me, though, because I definitely also feel that I am occasionally teaching him how things need to go.

I don't always like to teach, so those times have been daunting, but we get through them (and they are few and far between).

@Fiola ,are you still with him? It sounds like kinda yes, kinda no?

Restriction is definitely the hardest part of the Saturn relationship I think.

Comlpetely agree with the relatiohsip completely changing from how it originally started, for us it was all fun and spontanious at first; we didn't face our issues easily though.. it took a lot of coaxing to get him to tell me what is the problem exactly.

Now we're just taking things at a snail's pace, (our relationship wasn't anything serious to begin with) i'm not sure i can deal with him anymore but i just can't let go !

Snail's pace sounds like Saturn influence to a T!!

Had a partner with saturn opposite my venus/mercury. I really couldn't do anything right. Everything I said seemed illusory to him. Basically my inner essence was completely suppressed/suffocated.

Took much longer to end this relationship than it should have. He was all about reforming me, but really it's just a **** aspect to have in a synastry chart IMO. Saturn is prominent enough in my own chart without constant arguments with a significant other who is paranoid and withholding of love.

Hmm let's see. In my chart I have 1st house saturn conj asc/venus/NN, square moon/midheaven, trine mars, oppose chiron.

In synastry, my saturn is in his 1st house, conj his asc, square sun/mercury/MC, trine venus/mars, sextile jupiter.

We dealt with a lot of trials. Difficult circumstances, griefs, having to live apart...etc... External forces don't quite like us being together, it seems. But that's a lesson for us as a couple. Overcoming difficulties, building our bond and whatnot. All saturn's themes.

As the saturn person, I can be very protective, although this tendency is well under control. It pains me the most whenever I have to watch him fighting his battles. It's necessary sometimes, and I understand that. I respect him and have faith in his judgement. Still, it hurts .

Being saturnine, in very rough times, I keep it together, as to not add more stress. He appreciates it, and I like that. Always says that despite looking and acting scattered, I'm rock solid at the core.

Heh when he first said he loved me, I told him "I can say that I love you now, and it's true. But years from now, if I say and feel that when I'm on my death bed, delighting in the good time we shared and forgiving the wrongs we did, then that will be the truest essence of my love".

Reeks of saturn, yeah. Has a hint of neppy though.

My Saturn opposite someone's Sun and Venus. Crazily, he was the fearful one. Although we were very compatible, he had come from bad past relationships and didn't want to expose himself to the risk of being hurt and abandoned again. Although he wanted so much to be with me, he couldn't; he was so messed up emotionally that his fear won. But not everything was bad: he changed a lot through our interaction and I (Saturn) made him to get more aware of who he really is (Sun) and what he really wants in a relationship (Venus) We're only good friends nowadays.

My Saturn is in detriment in the 1st house conjunct the Moon. It's a tough placement to have. Sometimes I feel cursed, lol!

Man, I had no idea when I posted this thread how interesting it would be for my life by now.

My man's saturn squares my venus and Mars. Mine conjuncts his venus. This was something that worried me, but HE has saturn squares to his venus, mars, etc. He's driven by saturn and pluto - a very intense person.

I, on the other hand, struggle a lot when Saturn comes down on me. It's like I can barely form sentences correctly. Right now, Saturn is squaring my venus and mars.

And right now, Saturn is almost directly conjunct HIS saturn, as he is going through his saturn rx.

We broke up last night.

He crumbled over the past week under pressure. His job, his family, his ex relatonships (his longterm, abusive ex gf just got married). Everything bore down on him. And I was the first thing to go. Suddenly, he asked me for a no strings attached, casual relationship... after a very longterm serious one with me where we were just discussing marriage and kids last month.

He has been overjoyed by the relationship until quite literally this past month. He wanted something to work, but I couldn't handle the lack of a commitment to a future together so I broke it off last night. (But obviously 'it' was over).

I hate to say this was Saturns fault but honestly... with all the pressure and restrictions on us both this past few weeks it definitely feels like Saturn wore us down. I still feel very bound to him though. It's hard to let go.

My Saturn squaring his Venus -
It was as if I was constantly trying to get a rowdy puppy off of my new (expensive) dress, and accidentally kicking him in the process each time.

His Saturn tightly opposing my Mars
(In the same relationship) -
His attempts to 'help' me or give me 'advice' (however it was that he framed it) came off as overtly controlling (which it was) and regularly crossed over into disrespect.

Very glad it's over... lol.. Karma...
