It was strange from the beginning, from the moment we met. It was very intense and the chemistry was so strong that I just had to do it. I had to get to know this guy better, cause he was so interesting.

It was like we were made for eachother from the start. We just clicked in every way, and we just got along so fine that there was no doubt - we had to be in a relationship.

But today I really regret that, cause the timing between us was just NEVER right. Sometimes I actually feel, that if I might haven't met this guy, my life wouldn't have got so complicated.

And from week one, there was a MILLION problems avoiding us from just being together. Travels, work, studies, even death tried to keep us apart, but didn't succeed, apparently. We were just stuck on eachother.

We are still together and have been so for almost 3 years now, but I think only half of the time we have actually been in the same country. Now my boyfriend has to study half a year in another country again, and I am left alone. We tried to have a last holiday together but day 1 of our holiday my boyfriends grandmother died, he got a cold and had to go home. It was ment to be our last week together before we will be apart again, and not even this weekend we can just have together.

I kinda start to blame this aspect. We have venus/uranus doubble whammy, and my uranus square his venus EXACT - like this is our strongest aspect. My venus also sextiles his uranus really close.

We also got a long line of good aspect, such as saturn trine sun, pluto trine moon, venus conjunction sun, sun opposite moon and sun cojunction mercury doubble whammy. All these good aspect makes us stuck together, and we just really love each other and get along like no one else I've ever met.... but this venus/uranus thing is KILLING me. It is so hard that we always get seperated, and most of the time it is not our own wish, it's just the surroundings and timing which just doesnt fit.

So this is a WARNING for y'all. DONT FALL IN LOVE with someone who got their venus/uranus square/opposite your venus/uranus!!! The bad traits of this aspect will keep you apart, and it's NOT nice, though your chemistry might be the best you ever had...

Now I am considering leaving my boyfriend, because this just isn't working for me. I want a boyfriend who is there, and not the universe trying to make our life a living hell all the time.

What about your composite chart? Do you have this aspect there as well?

I have this aspect with someone but he and I aren't in a relationship we are just friends. He's the Venus I'm the Uranus person it's a square but the orb is so wide I don't know if it can be felt. The orb is 9 degrees.

We do live in different states but we have actually met in person. I'll be going back to see him this month but I haven't seen him since June. Which I really don't like at all so I guess what you describe is true.

I would personally say that 9 degrees is much too wide... it should be under 1-2 degrees minimum! But if you feel it, you feel it Hopefully it wont be too bad as others who got this aspect exact!

Actually not, but we have sun square uranus instead... people say this is a dealbreaker in the composite, I don't know what to think about it though:P I can add that my boyfriend got both of these aspect in his natal as well...

It might be easier for him to deal with the aspect in synastry since he has it in his natal chart. That's what some people here have said. Since the person would be use to that particular energy being as though they have it in their own chart.

I have Venus square Uranus and Venus square Saturn in my natal chart. I like having my freedom which is because of the Venus/Uranus aspect.

Yeah for him at least... I'm not so sure about myself though... its like the whole deal about this is that I'm the one who suffer the most... my boyfriend is always the one who is out travelling and stuff, while I'm the one always stuck at home, having to work or study hard...and I'm sure once I get done with my studies, it will turn the other way around probably... its a neverending story with these aspect.... and I do like my freedom, and I'm sure my boyfriend loves his, but then again... can you build an actual longtherm relationship on never really being that close? Never really to feel that you are 100% together?

Well, I think it definitely speaks to distance of SOME sort, not necessarily physical all the time as with your situation (which does not sound fun). In my relationship with my SO, who I also share Venus/Uranus DW with (opp. and trine), it sort of plays out like a boomerang. We will experience a very brief period of emotional distance or "taking a step back" and then bounce right back as if nothing was wrong. I think it's me, honestly (being Uranus in the opp.) that pulls back and I can't explain why. It is annoying, but you sort of get used to the ups and downs.

Having said that though, I have seen it play out very differently which puts a bend in the theory. I know a married couple with Venus/Uranus square DW in synastry PLUS Venus/Uranus square in composite, and they're fine! I think they've been together for 7-8 years now? And just had their first baby. They were friends first but he was very persistent in making things official and proposed to her less than 2 years later I think. They are great together and seem very in love and committed to each other. They have a very traditional relationship as far as anyone can see.

Now, I wouldn't know if they experience the same brief periods of emotional distance as I previously described, but if they do it must be working for them regardless!
