Hello All
Glad to see things are back up and running around here - couldn't access the site for a while for some reason.

So, I've been acquainted with a friend of my ex for quite a few years now. He's a very nice man and I enjoy his company, but if I'm being honest, I didn't initially feel a strong connection with him. He's normally quiet around me and doesn't say much. When he does talk we get along well and I find it very easy to be myself around him. Recently he's been pursuing me pretty heavily - while I'm flattered and not entirely opposed to the idea of dating him, I honestly don't know how I feel about it. He's very difficult to read and I'm wondering if that may be part of why I feel a little confused and blindsided by his interest.

I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on our synastry/composite and whether or not there is potential here. I noticed that we have Mars opposite Moon DW and in the composite a Moon/Pluto opposed Mars. I'm wondering if his Moon/Neptune conjunction is what is making it difficult for me to really get a read on him?

Birth times are correct. I'm blue on the inside - he's on the outside. Any insight would be appreciated!

hi FmVenusWlove

I would think the Neptune on the nadir would be why you cannot get a good read on him as this shows a complicated and possibly deceptive base of the relationship.

the mars/pluto opposition is extremely sexual but doesn't usually lead to a intimate emotional connection as the emphasis is on sex.
the conjunction of venus/vertex/descendant certainly gives emotional sparks between you, but again as these are square to Neptune, you can't really know what he feels. this can show great emotional sensitivity but it can also show emotional games, tsquare is not associated with serious relationship as there is often strong socializing vein

Hi Todd,
Thank you so much for taking a look!

This resonates. I don't believe there is full blown deception or malicious intent here, but rather there are things not being addressed openly. The relationship is very complicated at this stage and I think that he is by nature a very closed off/private person. I'll have to look into Neptune on the IC - great point.

I'm slightly confused with this one. If it was just a Mars/Pluto opposition I could definitely see the emphasis on sex, but the composite Moon is closely conjunct the composite Pluto making it part of this aspect pattern. Wouldn't that bring an emotional layer to the sexual attraction?
