Do you look at solar-eclipse-hour transits to your composite at all to determine how the energy might progress in the near future/semi-long term? Have you noticed significant turning points in relationships at these times? I have... though I wasn't watching the actual transits and charts closely, solar eclipses have marked times of major change/events which preceded major change or forced me to face something... I have no doubt that this one will be no exception.

I present here a partial list of the transits to composite this March 8th at the time of the exact Sun/Moon conjunction at roughly 18'55 Pisces I believe... I would encourage you, if you are interested in this line of questioning to do the same.

After all, if life gives you lemons... enjoy studying astrology!

***

(worth noting that the eclipse occurs one degree off my natal Ceres...)

Transits (left) to Composite (right):

The following aspects are all under '30 minutes of orb..

Sun and Moon square Uranus, orb 0'02
Ceres square Chiron 0'04
Sun and Moon semisextile Moon and Mars (at the Moon/Mars midpoint)
Mars conjunct Saturn super tight
Sun novile Mercury and Sun

Vesta is conjunct composite Node but 4 degrees off... no dice imo

I was going to make a more comprehensive list but I ain't gonna. Too tired. Guessing something big will happen though. Intend to maintain my equilibrium as much as possible. Trying to kinda not care too much and set appropriate boundaries at this time. Not getting pulled into the power struggles the present Mercury-Mars square is tempting us into

Love to you all as this eclipse approaches. Curious about your take on them.

Wow.

The eclipse will be opposite our Composite Sun in Virgo in 4th house by a degree!!!

It'll also square our Composite ASC/DESC axis exact, which is also a conjunction to the midpoint of our ASC/DESC.

Should be interesting to see what happens...

Hahhahahahaha (gallows humor)

Eclipse on my 18 Pisces moon which is conjunct composite Chiron at 19 Pisces which is the apex of several overlapping kites.

I totally agree.

This will conjunct our composite Moon/Jupiter conjunction in the 4th. Sounds like we are in for a new exciting phase

We start feeling the eclipse influence already a few days earlier right?

@Faith hahaha when I saw 18 Pisces, I thought of you immediately

SOLAR ECLIPSE

On March 8, 2016, around 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, there is a Total Solar Eclipse at 18 degrees of Pisces. It is visible in the southern half of China, Indonesia, Northern Australia, North and South Korea and the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. This is the first of five eclipses that will occur in 2016. It is a Super Moon eclipse, so the energy is intense. “Eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon and Earth align more closely, focalizing a greater concentration of cosmic energies,” says Astrologer Stephanie Austin in the February/March 2016 issue of The Mountain Astrologer.

Where18 degrees of Pisces falls in your chart, some aspect in your life will be ready to be completed or taken to the next level. On March 7, 1989 there was a Solar Eclipse at 17 degrees of Pisces. Think back to that time in your life. Do you remember a big change?

This is a South Node Eclipse. It means that the eclipse is on the South Node of the Moon. It brings in more significant interactions with other people that leaves you with a new perspective. There is a “We” orientation. According to Astrologer Dietrech Pessin, it foretells separation from situations that are no longer working in our lives. A South Node Eclipse brings public exposure. Information is uncovered and facts come out into the open.

This is an 18 South Saros Series Eclipse. This family of eclipses is concerned with endings or separations. “Wherever you have 18 degrees of Pisces in your chart, you may be dealing with a parting,” says Astrologer Bernadette Brady. She states, “The pain of separation is lessened by encountering new situations leading to positive outcomes.”

The Sabian Symbol for 18 degrees of Pisces is the image of a “Gigantic Tent.” Astrologer Marc Edmund Jones says, “It is a genius for organizing divergent capabilities in a common cause.” This speaks to what is going on in America today.

Following are days in 2016 when the planets in the sky hit the Eclipse Point of 18 degrees of Pisces. They are periods of time when we may close a door or move on:

March 1st to March 12th – Transit Jupiter opposes the eclipse point. Expect big news.
March 15, 2016 – Mercury brings big news.
March 26, 2016 – Venus brings romance and money news.
May 21st to June 1st – The Nodes of the Moon are activated. Karmic situations occur.
June 8, 2016 – The transiting Sun hits the eclipse point. Possible crisis situations.
July 7th to July 14th – Transit Jupiter opposes the eclipse point once again. Expect big changes.

Compo Sun 19'12 Gem
Compo Neptune 19'09 Sag

Eclipse 18'55 Pisces

I radically (and in fact totally unexpected although ofcourse there was some run-up to it) broke up with mine, finalized with all the psychological ins and outs of the "why's and how's" like only a "Scorpion King" [< a term I disovered yesterday which invented by Jeremy Neal related to the Leo-Sun/Scorpio-Moon combo which at its finest would produce the "Scorpion King" who stands his or her ground as effectively as Leonidas at Thermopylae - omg how fitting ;D] can do, in the first hours of the 2nd of march 2016. The 'gentle lady' opened up and shoots her no-return arrows, when:

Transit Jupiter: 19'08 Virgo
Transit NN: 21'50 Virgo

Transit Sun: 11'53 Pisces
Transit Moon: 12'44 Sag

Our composite NN: 12'59 Pisces
Our composite Saturn: 12'36 Pisces

- - -

Mg.. he's even going through our infamous "heartbreak transit" right now;

transit Saturn: 15'57 Sag
natal Chiron: 17'55 Gem

and vice versa;

transit Chiron: 20'29 Pisces
natal Saturn: 20'47 Sag

Oh I am sorry you broke up, Mir

-----------------------------------------

For me 18 Pisces happens in my 3rd house and is 2 degrees off my Juno and exact on my pr Jupiter. No clue what that means. Well my brother is going to become a Dad, and I guess that is sort of the ending of a phase in his life and starting a new one which will affect all family life.
Well for him the ecclipse is even more important as his birthday is 6th march, so it is falling only 3 degrees off his Sun.

Well composite-technically for Mr Sag and me, mmh, let me check, nothing too big, we have Mercury at 17 Sagittarius, so there is the square. Maybe an end in terms of communication or even jsut in the style of how we communicate?

pr composite ASC is already beyond the influence of the solar ecclipse (23 Pisces, interestingly enough exact on composite Ceres)

But it doesn`t seem so exciting to me.

What of course still MIGHT have an influence is Tr Uranus opposing c-Pluto on 15 Libra and moving towards opposing c-NN on 20 Libra and c-Mars on 23 Libra, and Tr Pluto on c-Venus on 16 Cap exact. Of course it means that Tr Uranus is just leaving the square to c-Venus and heading towards the square to c-Moon on 22 Cap, and I guess these Uranus-Pluto-transits seem more exciting to me. lol

This eclipse will be right on composite Amore (orb 0'03"), draconic composite Psyche (orb 0'45"), my natal Eros (orb 1'03"), and my SO's AVx (orb 1'08"). It seems more significant for him I suppose? I'm not sure what these all mean! Wonder what will be happening to us!

So is the meaning always an ending of some sort of a separation?

I really hope it has some positive meanings too...

No no it isn't always a separation. A bonding could also occur under the right circumstances.. new beginnings and changes. Depends on the chart of the specific eclipse and how it affects you.

just noticed we have progressed composite descendant at 17'38 Pisces, square pr.c.Juno/Chiron and Uranus and stuff... crazy. Thanks for mentioning progressions Ceri or I might not have checked.

Oh. .. also for some reason my astrologer told me to watch the progressed Davison for transits/changes rather than composite... and in progressed Davison our Venus is at 16 Pisces right now.

Thanks guys ^^^ ~!

I discovered a beauty, truly... !

Well, I was looking for the Sabian of 19-Virgo as that's where transiting RETRO Jupiter currently resides.
And with the article I gave above stating that the days 1 t/m 12 March might me prone to endings cause Jupiter then is at the opposing Eclipse point, and seeing the connection to our Compo planets at the final break..;
- T Jupiter: 19'08 Virgo
- compo Sun: 19'12 Gem
- compo Sun: 19'09 Sag

... I found, well, not exactly a SABIAN, but another unique and wonderful version, called "INSIDE DEGREES";

quote:
E.Lonsdale (the inventor) builds on three main degree interpretations: Dane Rudhyar's concept of the Sabian Symbols described in The Astrology of Personality and An Astrological Mandala, Marc Edmund Jones's Sabian Symbols in Astrology, and John Sandbach's recent Chandra Symbols. Beginning in 1988, Lonsdale worked with his wife Sara in tracking the Sabian symbol, the Charubel Symbol (the most useful of the other sets of degree symbology) and the Chandra Symbol. After Sara died in 1993 Lonsdale worked with her (as Theanna) and their friend Alita "to pierce through the veil," as he says in his Introduction, "to find the angel behind each degree. This ultimate version is won from death and fused with rebirth and each word shows this power."
http://aquaorfire.net/astrology/inside_degrees/inside_degrees.html

I'm speechless reading the whole background ^!

And then, look at the beauty written here, well not only the beauty, it's totally spot on when it comes to our break~!;

quote:
VIRGO 19
A fire breathing dragon the size of a mouse.
Big things and little things trade places. Big things become off screen, too demanding and formidable, oppressive. Little things become unquenchably full of life and there to be entered upon with passionate conviction. Little things proliferate wildly. Soon they are everywhere, clamoring, yearning, asking for attention and energy. Each little thing grows very big--incarnation, embodiment. Coming to the brink of immense commitment into the earth, you have a craft, a fine touch of beholding, witnessing, and responding to each facet of life unto itself. The most rigorous of paths--to be there into the details. Will and mind become one, a discipline, a harnessing that is magnificent and very hard to accomplish. Yet you recognize that this is what remains to be done, to light up the jewels of life and let them arise everywhere.

According to "Magi astrology" it's almost a fact that heartbreak occurs during those transits. Well, only if T-Saturn makes a square/opp/quincunx/contra-parallel to natal Chiron (not the other way around) within 3 deg applying. I had a focus on that for a while and noticed heartbreak was often the case during it. Pretty touching to found one in his chart, had no idea.

Here some info, http://www.magiastrology.com/heartbreaks.html

Oh... I see. Transiting Saturn is fixin to oppose our composite Chiron but that won't be until it stations retrograde and goes back over his descendant... it will reach the exact opposition in several months I guess--but it's definitely flirting within 3 degrees of opposing composite chiron right now. Makes sense.

Ahhh you've sent me on a magi tangent! I come out mostly unscathed usually

I guess in synastry we have a Jupiter Saturn nuclear dilly-o, my Jupiter quincunx his Saturn. I guess we also have Saturn captivation/bond--my Saturn conjunct his Neptune. I would think his Saturn on my Asc is captivating also... but they don't use ascendant much eh.

Oh... progressed Davison ascendant is at 19 Virgo. That explains a lot. I guess transiting nodes are all over that these days. There we go.

Oh, just looking at pr Davison, which I had never done before.

pr D-ASC 14 Pisces

But also this

pr D-Venus 22°57 Gemini
pr D-Jupiter 25°25°29 Gemini
pr D-IC 23°51 Gemini

pr D-Moon 24°48 Gemini

and the natal

D- Sun 27°48 Gemini

So it seems we are having an applying

pr D-Moon opposite D-Sun 2°40 a (perfecting in about 2-3 months?)

plus

pr D Jupiter conjunct D-Sun 1°59a (this one will take longer to perfect, but I am not complaining )

of course it means, that also pr D-Venus is applying to conjunct d-Sun (and this happens on HIS natal IC and Sun/Moon-mp-axis. lol)

Tr Saturn is luckily done with pestering both of us for a while, though he was having Tr-Saturn quinkunx n Chiron in late november and whole december (which coincidentally is exactly the timeframe when I completely withdrew from any kind of even the most superficial communication. lol not implying his Saturn-Chiron-transit had anything to do with me, but the beginingn and end dates are just so weirdly matching)

As for the composite Tr Saturn was quinkunx composite Chiron on 29 Aries and Davison Chiron 4 Taurus, the weeks before, and yes I certainly can relate very specific events to that.

Well my composite moon with my ex is at 18d Pisces and moon is @21d Pisces but I am sure nothing will happen there. If I break up with my husband I would want to fall in love with someone new or stay single.

My husband and I have composite vertex in Virgo @20d.

Yep when my ex and I broke up transit chiron was squaring his Saturn and on my 2H ruler and 8H ruler midpoint. Plus transit Pluto and transit southnode were conjuncting my southnode.

Hypatia,

the heartbreak-clash is only Tr Saturn in square/opposition/quinkunx/contraparallel to n Chiron, not the other way round (and the magi actually do not use composites, though I think we can expand here a little )

The Tr Chiron to n Saturn is I think at least a "culmination-transit", so it will bring to a head what has been developing for a while.
If you are in a good relationship, you might even get married with that. If there are cracks, it will fall apart eventually.

as for myself, well the progression of pr Jupiter on n Juno is already fading out, has been so for a while (funny enough it was culminating, when I first met Mr Sag, and that has been many years ago).

as for meeting someone new, well I am meeting people, but I am not bent on falling in love or developing crushs on anyone (but then again I never REALLY am. seems to just happen somewhen along the way. lol)

Ceri,
How do you think trans Chiron trine c saturn would play out in a composite chart?

Also, how bad is it to have Saturn square Chiron in a composite chart? I have this in both the composite and progressed composite with someone. Just curious.

Sorry to intrude on this topic with my random questions.

Septembergirl,

hmm I never really experience trines in transits as too major, more like background humming.

Saturn-Chiron-square potentially is said to be very painful, isolating, heartbreaking and what else.
I think though it also opens up possibility to transformation , but it is true you have to be quite strong to deal with it in a constructive way, and most people probably will act in a rejecting manner to that one.

The thing is, Saturn represents among other things fears and things we feel we need to be working on, and fear others might see our flaws in that regard, so we usually quickly lock the door so noone can see too deeply. Chiron on the ohter hand is where we are most vulnerable and almost feel like everything we might consider a flaw or painful or whatever is on display. Now imagine how Saturn like THAT kind of vulnerability of (self-perceived) flaws so much on display! How would the person feel about that? And how would they act about that?
Going the chironic way, they could actually start addressing these issues (and realized they are not really that big issues after all), going the Saturnian way, the person might close up totaly and reject anyone who reminds them of this feeling.
