My boyfriend and I have this placement. We have a Scorpio AC with Pluto landing in the 12th. Other than having Pluto ruled chart, our relationship is not very "Plutonic"... (Pluto only makes 2 aspects, an inconjunct to Composite Sun and sextile Composite Neptune)

So I was curious if the 12th house was kinda "drowning it" so to speak?

I'm not sure about drowning but cadent houses (3,6,9,12) makes the planet there 'weaker' so it could be the reason why your relationship isn't 'plutonian'.

I haven't studied the 12th house in depth, but it's a water house so it's very emotional.
