Hi, little LL knowflakes ! I thought maybe we could do a little experiment using an Astrodienst option that isn't very common, the progressed New Moon chart (available on astro.com by selecting natal and Progressed New Moon under chart type). I'm not sure from which New Moon chart it's progressed, but it has -- like any New Moon chart -- Sun and Moon conjunct, so a more powerful place, which is (I think) triggered in very loving relationships. It may concern only the very intense feelings of attachment, affection or admiration ; I could only try it out a few times, though, so it'd be perfect if you could all share your synastries to help learn more. Also, I've noticed a few patterns in synastries : - nm SUN-MOON of one person conjunct, opposite, or square the other's within 4°00 [eh, not valid anymore, unless there's a big age difference and you don't have a hard aspect between your natal Suns] - nm SUN-MOON in hard aspect to nm ASC (single aspect or both ways) Finally, don't forget to check all your charts, the main ones here being natals (n), progressed (pr), and progressed new moon (nm) ; it's also very good to check synastry and composite for all three ; that's where I usually find many strong connections. Add in the asteroids you like ; I usually put in 447,1221,433,16,42,1923,193,268,3645,1469 [or personal asteroids : names, birthdates, etc.], but I'd be especially looking out for Valentine (447) or Isis (42) and Osiris (1923) here. I'll post some examples I've already gone through soon. Thanks all ! Edit n°1 : click on Add these data to "My Astro" to see the synastry and composite between your progressed New Moon charts. Edit n°2 : BONUS Since I'm not really getting any answers in Astrology 2.0, and I'm asking for an IA purpose, does anyone know how draconic declinations are calculated ? (Please...) Thanks ! Thanks for such a wonderful topic.I just checked mine and my beau's progressed New Moons and I was surprised to discover several fated aspects between our New Moons. Firs that I noticed was that the ASC in my Progressed New Moon was at 3' Taurus, and that is the exact degree of his progressed New Moon - @ 3' Taurus. That is such an amazing conjunction right there, my ASC to his Sun/Moon. Second, I noticed that the ASC in his prog New Moon chart was at 17' Virgo and his PNM Venus was at 18' Pisces, and they both are conjunct my natal Vertex axis at 18' Virgo -Pisces. My PNM Mars is at 17' Virgo as well. In my PNM chart, Vertex is conjunc at exact degree his name asteroid and they both are 2 degree from conj my natal Venus. IP: Logged |

my pNM has the Sun-Moon on 21°35 Capricorn, which is just 4 minutes of orb off my natal Sun/Moon-mp and 7 minutes of orb off my natal Avx.pnm Isis on 23 Cap, pnm Osiris on 19 Cap, so their midpoint falls onto the Sun-Moon-conjunction exact NM ASC has NM Amor conjunct by 1 degree and both falling onto my natal Sun-Mercury-conunction (NM Mars is in orb as well)
NM Uranus conjunct NM MC exact and on my natal 11th house cusp
NM Venus conjunct NM AVX
and the pr- natal aspects that stand out ----------------------------------------
pSun-Moon conjunct n Avx pSun-Moon opposite n Eros exact pVenus trine n Pluto (1) - I find that interesting as it transforms my natal square into a trine- pMars conjunct n Sun-Mercury (1-2) pJupiter conjunct nJuno (1) pCeres conjunct n Juno exact pJuno trine n Valentine exact pValentine conjunct n Mars (2) pValentine conjunct n Neptune-NN (3) pValentine conjunct n ASC exact pAmor conjunct n Sun-Mercury exact pIsis conjunct n Avx (2) p Orisir conjunct n Avx (2) pASC conjunct n Sun-Mercury (1) pMC conjunct n Uranus exact IP: Logged |

BTW Mr Sag`s pr New Moon happened pretty much exactly a year after we first met. His pNM is on 26°55 Cap, which happens to be conjunct his natal Venus with 1 degree orb. Interestingly the week we met he had pSun conjunct n Venus with 0°00 orb. lol Anyway it does not make the 4 degree orb, but our New Moons are closish to each other
his: 26°55 Cap mine: 21°35 Cap
and there are declinational aspects
his NM-Sun: 20°46 S his NM-Moon: 18°00 S his natal Moon: 18°56 S my NM-Sun: 21°42 S my NM-Moon: 18°18 S my NM-ASC conjunct his natal Sun: 0°03 my NM-ASC conjunct his natal Moon: 1°39 my NM-ASC conjunct his natal MC: 1°16 his NM-ASC trine my NM Sun-Moon: 3°15 his NM-MC conjunct my NM Sun-Moon: 3°33 (and hence his own NM Sun-Moon is conjunct NM MC and all of it falling onto his natal Venus) BTW our composite pr New Moon is conjunct our composite Moon by 1°33 (closer to his Venus than my AVX though).

Orange,Wow, those are amazing connections ! Another case of nm Sun-Moon conjunct nm ASC, and the ASC-Venus right on your Vertex. Ceri, 21° Cap must be a hugely receptive point of yours ! And How about synastry between progressed and progressed New Moon ? Edit : and another case of conjunct new moons ! IP: Logged |

Synastry between me and my first crush (lasted three years, I was the one attached)Most importantly, the reason why I never found any connection to my natal Sun/Moon midpoint whereas it was always present in other synastries : his nm SUN-MOON : 13°49' Sag my n SUN/MOON : 12°10' Sag (Midpoints have the forward slash, planets on the same degree have the hyphen.) His nm AMBROSIA is conjunct his nm SUN-MOON by 1°30 while my nm SUN-MOON is opposite my nm AMBROSIA by 1°23 (and conjunct my n AMBROSIA by 0°45). -- my nm ASC : 12°34' Vir my n EP : 14°22' Vir my nm SUN/MOON : 15°43' Lib his nm IC : 14°01' Lib -- his nm MARS : 13°15' Sco his nm VENUS : 13°56' Sco our c nm SUN-MOON : 14°46' Sco my pr VE/MA midpoint : 18°38' Sco his pr VE/MA midpoint :18°50' Sco my n MERCURY : 17°32' Sco my n SATURN : 15°13' Tau -- his nm ASC : 01°38' Leo his n MOON : 00°52' Leo my n MOON : 00°01' Aqu my n NEPTUNE : 1°36' Aqu my n PALLAS : 00°09' Leo IP: Logged |

Peluches, yes, 21 Cap-Cancer is really big, actually all cardinal degrees around 20-21 (my Chiron on 20 ARies, I also have DNA on 20 Libra, Eros on 21 Cancer). Funny enough my Arthur-Gawain-conjunction is on 21 Cap and synastrically Mr Sag`s Arthur-Casanova is conjunct my Guinevere-Adelaide on 10-11 Cap. That made me giggle a little cause he performed both roles on stage, King Artus and Casanova. lol Anyway will do synastry later.
But I did make a short check of my parents charts when they got married. Interestingly my Dad had just started his new New Moon 2 years before, about a year after he first met my mom.
my mom`s New Moon is or was on 6 Scorpio Dad`s New Moon on 27 Aquarius So there was no aspect between them. however my Mom`s New Moon was conjunct her natal Sun on 3 Scorpio, square my Dad`s Sun on 5 Aqua and opposite his Moon on 1 Taurus, albeit widely. but it was activating their sparkly T-square of the luminaries (adding Dad`s BML) they also had some parallels going on between their luminaries and p luminaries ---------------------------------------- my brother and his gf are going to be parents for th efirst time this year, so I check this timeframe, not when they got together (10 years ago) my brother`s New Moon: 23 Pisces (conjunct his natal ASC on 25 Pisces)
his gf New Moon: 11-12 Aries so there is no interaspect there. however my brother`s New Moon conjuncts her natal Sun by 3 degrees and opposes her natal Moon by 1 degree (which overlays his relationship axis anyway) Interestingly his pVenus also had reached the conjunction to her natal ASC, while her p New Moon was conjunct his natal Venus and her p Venus on his p New Moon. and her p New Moon seems to be on his p ASC and some more stuff like this, just not an aspect between the New Moons
-------------------------------
My best friend and her hsuband her p New Moon 00 Libra (she will have another one in 2 years though) Funny enough HIS New Moon happend just 1-2 years after they got together, it is funny that I found this changing New Moon in male charts about 3 times already and I only checked four cases. lol his New Moon 10 Aquarius
so not an aspect between them either his New Moon opposes her Saturn exactly, which rules her DESC natally IP: Logged |

Ceri, Yes, I think the New Moons aspecting each other is just one the many aspects we can have ; some of the important ones involve checking the composites and natals. There was a thread some time ago here about famous couples, maybe we could use those charts for testing ? Edit : found it ! Edit n°2 : Actually, drop that conjunct New Moons thing. It's just a matter of how close the Suns are natally. I'm still not sure which is the chart astro.com progresses to get the progressed New Moon, but it might be something like the pre-natal New Moon chart, which New Moon point is obviously a few degrees before your natal Sun, and if you're checking the synastry with someone, chances are you'll be roughly the same age, so the two New Moons would have moved forward by roughly the same amount. Even less accurate considering how slow the progressed New Moon chart is. Other connections may be still relevant, though. IP: Logged |

Peluches, the progressed New Moon chart is the chart of the day you have a New Moon in your progressions! So it is your natal chart that is being progressed to th date when your pMoon will be conjunct your pSun which happens roughly every 28 years I think. IP: Logged |

Interesting. Thanks for the info! With my current interest we don't have a hard aspect but our nm.Sun-Moon's are trine at 0°. Ceri, that is interesting that the males you checked all had recently had their New Moon a couple years before. My interest had his in May 2013. *raises eyebrows* We met in May of 2015. *raises eyebrows further* Good catch! Other aspects: His nm.Anti-Vertex conjunct my n.Sun 1° His nm.Sun-Moon trine my n.Moon 0° His nm.Sun-Moon square my n.Venus 0° His nm.Venus opposite my n.Eros 0° His nm.Vertex conjunct my n.Psyche 1° His nm.MC conjunct my n.Eros 0° My nm.Sun-Moon conjunct his n.Mars 2° My nm.Juno conjunct his n.Mars 1° My nm.Sun-Moon opposite his n.Moon 2° My nm.Venus conjunct his n.Eros 0° IP: Logged |

Your draco planets' declination = sun's tropical declination when it hits that degree?
For instance I have my husband's chart handy. His draconic sun @ 22 Sag, 23°12' S. That corresponds to Dec 15th the year he was born. Using the same birth time and location, on Dec 15th the sun's tropical declination was 23°15' S. I'm checking more now... --- ETA: Nope, doesn't work. You probably already know that! His draco moon 20 Aqua, 17°32' S That corresponds to Feb 9th the year he was born, when the sun's declination was at 14°S. --- ETA #2: Now...checking for when the moon was @20 Aqua after he was born....that doesn't work either. Interesting yes. I have this with my NEXT New Moon (nov. '21) to his natal Asc; my prog New Moon: 26'00 Virgo his natal Asc: 26'47 Virgo my natal Sun/Moon midpoint: 26'59 Virgo his conversed prog Sun: 26'53 Pisces Also: MY conversed prog Sun 19'23 Gem on our composite Sun at 19'12 Gem at this time. --- So, now the thing we're looking at here.. our LAST prog New Moon, .. this is most outstanding; Our natal-Compo Sun/Moon midpoint: 23'49 Virgo Our natal-Compo POF (part of fortune): 24'33 Virgo (we all know prob. that during a new moon the part of fortune is always exact conjunct the Asc). So in our New-Moon Compo our Asc-POF; 24'37 Virgo. His natal EP (east point); 24'56 Virgo My prog Venus (when we met); 24'35 Virgo wow haha The big three I guess have muchhhh to tell ;D Great thread btw, and I had no idea about this option on astro.com.
