Male's chart on the top - his birth time is UNKNOWN.

Female's chart on the bottom - birth time known and accurate.

They were "interested" in each other as teenagers, but nothing happened, and both moved away and moved on. Recently "met" online again after more than 20+ years, and the female is really feeling the chemistry. The male initially seemed *very interested* in corresponding but has recently "cooled" / backed off (at least that is the female's feeling / perception).

Anything likely to "happen" here ? Thanks !

hi

my take is that , if he has backed off,it is because he is really falling in love and isn't sure of her intensity or maybe is a little "afraid" to feel so strongly. I don't think it is over at all.

the composite has the vertex at 22 psices, square to lust at 19 Gemini and square to venus at 18sag.

I can't make out the exact degree but the south node seems to have been on the vertex in late feb to april. this shows a unreal renewal of feelings , this intensity is why he has backed off as the can't quite deal with it or is not sure it is reciprocal .the node square lust and venus will occurs somewhere around late may thru june. so I think these sexual/emotional feeling will be hard to contain. if she wants this to turn into something , then I suggest she tell him exactly how intensity she feels about him and see what happens.

looking at his chart he may have just has a breakup with a very "special/soulmate" relationship at the end of last year and so is hesitant to try again for the time being.

vertex aspects are a bit tricky because sometimes the vertex energy is difficult to integrate into the overall chart dynamics, or the vertex aspects seem to stand apart from the rest of the chart

Vertex won't be accurate as his birth time is unknown, but whether a composite vertex is ever completely accurate is debatable.... and there's usually some weird synchronicity with the chosen birth time.

Noticing some things regarding natals to composite, too numerous to mention. But her Neptune is conjunct composite Sun, and composite Lust and Psyche I think it is, are forming a grand trine with her Venus, which is conjunct composite Lilith... obviously she's really feeling the chemistry with that connection. I think she's likely idealizing the relationship's potential a little or a lotl and has a lot of love and kindness for this person... with the Neptune-Sun conjunction...

I don't see that much really compelling in the composite itself; I notice the Chiron Juno opposition though and Juno conjunct Uranus which can be very enticing, that Chiron-Juno-Uranus combo.

Also with Sun square Moon in the composite it will have the flavour of an intense love affair very likely... but there's a basic tension and incompatibility...

His Pluto is square composite Venus. There's a fairly good chance he is feeling quite guarded about the intensity being presented here.

These two do have Venus trine Venus though which explains the mutual appreciation (from a distance though, as in high school)...

The composite Saturn-Sun opposition is classic for a long long delayed partnership... if it's going to happen I should hope enough time has elapsed! It can also indicate a great reluctance to merge.

That Saturn though on her Moon-NN is going to feel verycompelling and important to her. There's something to learn from this relationship. I don't know what it is our what's meant to happen or likely to happen here. To me it isn't screaming romance and longevity or anything but that could be in the finer details. *shrugs* hope i have given you something useful to ponder, one way or another.

Composite Chiron squares his nodes. That's something... composite Chiron squared my nodes in my last relationship. It was of short duration but obviously meant to happen--as it DID happen...

Her Moon is trine his Sun and Mars but his Moon is mainly just activated by her Juno--which is nice and all but maybe not enough for him to feel it's as special as she does..

Thank you, Todd and grotto.

Todd, as grotto points out, the male's birth time is unknown and hence I doubt the "Vertex" is accurate or even if the house placements should be considered.

Furthermore, when I ran the charts with "Nemesis", it appears that his Nemesis is exactly conjunct her Ascendant, which I have read is a sign that he will be her Nemesis.

He has never been married - is there anything to suggest that he could be gay from this chart ?

Yungang, these two also have (her) Mars conjunct (his) Moon and (his) Mars conjunct (her) Venus, which is very telling. However, that conjunction of his Moon and Dejanira in his natal chart concerns me quite a bit, as I read that this is a sign of someone who has been sexually abused in childhood or with BPD / split personality.

Do you both (or anyone else) feel differently ? Please do weigh in !!

You should maybe consider posting synastry bi wheels. It's a phenomenal amount of work to read synastry in this format when you could be looking at a biwheel...

Moon conjunct Mars and Mars conjunct Venus are nice for sure

BUMP !!!

The reason the man's birth time is unknown is because he refuses to divulge it, not because of any indifference on the part of the woman to obtain it -- she has asked him for his time of birth multiple times.

Can anyone please take a look at the Synastry here and give advise on whether the woman should pursue this man or give up ? TIA.

His Jupiter on her Sun-Mercury is lovely, that can feel really nice and there is extreme benevolence and forgiveness of a person beyond what most folks would put up with. This aspect alone can keep a relationship afloat which would otherwise tank (I'm talking Sun Jupiter conjunction) a lot faster.

That said... I wouldn't keep pursuing him if I were her. He is putting up with the continued advances because he does feel this benevolence but the examples of reticence you've mentioned are more than enough on top of the astrology to indicate that continued pursuit would be very likely frustrating...

The Mars Moon conjunction is a bit wide eh?... and his Venus is indeed conjunct her Mars but also his own Uranus and is otherwise basically unaspected in his chart.... I wouldn't think he's looking for a Mars there.

Hi Yungang,

It's actually her Jupiter on his late Capricorn Sun / early Aquarius Mercury. His Moon is at 15 degrees Taurus and her Mars is at 7 degrees Taurus. Her Venus is tightly conjunct her Uranus (both 19 degrees Libra) which are conjunct his Mars at 22 degrees Libra.

What is your advise ? Should the woman still leave him alone ? Why is she so obsessed with him ?

TIA.

Oh... whoops. I thought I had it all tied up. Was pretty sure I knew which was which.

I do not know what she should do

At all.

Maybe somebody else wants to weigh in..

I am going to expound for a minute: I think, overall, synastry and composite study/counseling is most useful and has the most scope, as you say, for existing relationships, for advising people based on what's actually going on between them, and getting into details in terms of how to mitigate destructive factors and what we need to do to move into our power and learn our lessons etcetera. If one party is clearly not interested or backing down, I would advise letting him take the space. I don't see enough here to make me think that it's a really good idea to pursue it. But I also must be completely honest and acknowledge the incredible complexity of any interaction between two people, and the astrology between them can be really subtle in its indicators. Without having done a compelte appraisal of midpoint activations, I would not advise on such a thing. And in fact I personally am trying to keep to a policy of never saying absolutely "yes" or "no" in terms of any relationship's workability. I would identify difficult factors and leave people to draw their own conclusions. Because telling someone 'don't pursue this person' is like doing their work for them. They need to look at the individual factors (her largely unaspected Moon, for instance) and come to their own conclusions. It's her story, not mine... you know?

Another thing is to consider why she wants him... probably she's excited by him, maybe a bit nostalgic, recapturing her youth.

Does she want a fling? Does she want to have sex with him? Does she want a committed relationship?

Frankly, it doesn't look like she's going to get it here. Midpoints or no (and I am beginning to consider them all but crucial), we can tell a lot from a synastry biwheel... and his Saturn-Chiron isn't stimulated, like, at all.

This explains his distance. Even if on some level he is interested, he doesn't feel in the least COMPELLED to relate. He doesn't have enough karma, enough of a sense that he NEEDS to do this thing. That's what Saturn does, in many mysterious ways, in ways that are sometimes too deep to detect; it makes us feel responsible for the other person. He does not feel responsible for her. He is unlikely to ever feel like he NEEDS her, like this relationship is important for his security or for his sense of responsibility in the world, and so he isn't likely to put a lot of work into it.

If she wants to keep pursuing him even though he is showing distinct disinterest, that is up to her. I think it is somewhat obvious that when anyone needs to "pursue" anyone, the relationship is already on the rocks--and it hasn't begun.. Then again.. sometimes things take time... sometimes there are things we can't see from the charts, astrological things I mean which aren't obvious at first glance, so again I wouldn't write it off.

But the writing might be on the wall...

It seems like she has a bit of trouble knowing what she needs and wants in relationships, and isn't aware on one hand of how her passion informs and is at odds with her emotions. Her sense of responsibility and heaviness is at odds with her susceptibility... she is prone to a pronounced kind of delusion when it comes to the Saturn - Mars side of things, with Neptune quincunx both... she is so sensitive and has an innate ability to channel energy but she can't always control it and it gets very much out of hand in ways she can't necessarily control at all. She needs to become aware of this stuff and somehow come into alignment with her own mysterious psyche so that she can channel this stuff in a CONSCIOUS way, rather than an impulsive way. She needs to bring some Gemini energy into her life somehow.

She has this Moon-Juno in Sagittarius square Sun-Mercury in Virgo so there's part of her that really wants to be practical and do everything right, and there's this other part which is kind of devil-may-care, and this creates this kind of situation for her, where she isn't able to appraise her realistic needs in terms of sexuality and stuff, because of the Moon-Juno quincunx Mars.

She has a challenge in this life to really get a handle somehow on what she wants, what she needs, what insires her, and feels comfortable, and also what is actually within the realm of realistic possibility. Maybe she really likes pursuing unavailable people... or she thinks she does. But the truth is that she actually has a very slow steady desire nature which needs a lot of steadiness, and a Saturn in Cancer which just begs for nurturing. Very much at odds with her Sag Moon. That is a hard script to play out.... I feel for her.

She needs to be aware of these disparate needs within her. She also needs to remain aware of the way that she is affecting people around her, and try to be sensitive to others. That's the Saturn challenge here; to nurture other people somehow... to have real empathy for others, right? Saturn is in its detriment and is I think a kind of key in this chart and also a key to the reason this synastry is so compelling for her.. her Saturn makes that quincunx to his Venus. It's a hint for her, it's a clue. She understands, in this relationship, that she doesn't understand. And that understanding may help her on the path to.. understanding

This has caused me to read up on Saturn in Cancer, and here's what Isabel Hickey has to say, which is in keeping I think with the rest of her chart in some interesting ways:

"Emotions too crystallized. May come, not from innate selfishness, but from a hurt to the feelings early in life or by a parent. The result would be that he would build up a self-protective coating where emotions are concerned. Can be kind but finds it hard to put himself in the other fellow's shoes. An ambitious and shrewd person to whom material things are very important. At to withdraw from too close emotional involvements. Lack of relationships can lead to aloneness in old age. Psychic tendencies strong. Test of Saturn in this sign is the need to learn the value of responsibility and empathy."

Now I wouldn't condemn anyone to aloneness in old age and maybe don't read all of that to her-- then again you could do so. Because an awareness that you are actually pushing people away in an effort at self protection or because you think you want independence and autonomy, or pursuing unavailable people, are patterns one should become very acutely aware of in order to address them. You need to be developing this empathy regardless (she needs to that is). She needs to be developing this ability to put herself in others' shoes and love them as much for their sake as for her own. She needs a better synastry than this for that to happen though, in my opinion...

The Saturn in Cancer would give rise to a special penchant for nostalgia though I am thinking, and a definite attraction towards people from the past, as we see here.
