Hi Everyone,

Been tossing this idea around in my head for a while... So, I was listening to a podcast some years ago. And a guest astrologer said that if the Dsc is, say, Pisces, sometimes the person won't attract a Pisces, but they will attract a person with a strong 7 in their numerological chart. The number 7 is said to be ruled by Neptune. I think the astrologer's name was Sharita Starr.

This makes me think that perhaps we could also apply the same rules to all of the relationship houses (not just the 7th), and to the signs of Venus and Mars as well. The signs and planets of the 5th, 7th, or 8th houses, and their rulers, could be used to show what numbers we might be attracted to in numerology. And the signs of Venus and Mars could be used to indicate what numbers we might be attracted to on men or women (depending on our preference).

Like if you have Mars in Gemini and you're a women, you could be attracted to Men with strong 5 Numerologically (5 is ruled by Mercury in numerology).

Or...

You have Jupiter in the 5th house, Sagittarius on the 5th, or 5th house ruler in Sagittarius, and your partner has a strong 3 numerologically (3 is ruled by Jupiter in numerology).

Or to give another example...

The planet Pluto is said to rule over the number zero... When a zero is added to a number it becomes more powerful (a one can become a ten, for instance). So people with a zero in their birthday have a bit of Pluto influence. That is, people born on the 10th, 20th, and 30th. Also people who have letters in their name adding up to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and so on. So if somebody has Pluto in the 5th house, or a Scorpio Dsc, or the Dsc ruler in Scorpio, perhaps their partner may have a prominent zero numerologically.

Of course, it goes with out saying that the partner's astrological chart should always match our taste. It's just interesting to explore how the partner's numerology may also be contributing to our attraction to them. It might even fill in some missing gaps in our analysis of why we've been drawn to them in the first place.

Another thing to think about is the degrees of our 5th, 7th, and 8th house cusps, and their rulers. As well as the degrees of our Mars and Venus. Do this have a numerological influence too? Perhaps to keep it simple we could focus on the degree of our Dsc, and it's ruler. If our Dsc ruler is a 18 degrees of a sign and we reduce it to a 9 (1 + 8 = 9), perhaps we'll attract a partner with a strong 9 numerologically. Or maybe the partner will have a strong Mars (Mars rules 9 in numerology).

Here's a list of ruling planets for the numbers...

0= Pluto (10, 20, and 30 born)…Pluto influence would be secondary to the dominant first number (3 for 30, and so on)
1= Sun (1, 10, 19 and 28 born)
2= Moon (2, 11, 20, 29 born)
3= Jupiter (3, 12, 21 and 30 born)
4= Uranus (4, 13, 22 and 31 born) and Rahu (in Vedic)
5= Mercury (5, 14 and 23 born)
6= Venus (6, 15 and 24 born)
7= Neptune (7, 16 and 25 born) and Ketu (in Vedic)
8= Saturn (8, 17 and 26 born)
9= Mars (9, 18 and 27 born)

The Birthday Number is the day of the month on which you were born. It Represents a certain special gift or talent that you possess to a marked degree which will eventually help you along on your life path. Like a trick up your sleeve. Kind of like your Part of Fortune (The POF is said to describe how we standout to others in a positive way, which in turn allows us to achieve worldly success). Except the Birthday Number is probably more substantial part of your personality then your POF (this is my guess anyway).

If you have deeper knowledge of numerology, you could also compare your partner’s Life Path Number, Expression Number, Personality Number, and Soul Urge Number to your natal chart attraction pattern. And vice versa. See how your numerology fits your partner’s attraction pattern.

Life Path Number is derived from adding together your whole birthdate. Represents your overall life journey. Like the landscape you must travel through to reach your destination. Similar to a combination of the Nodal Axis (how we grow from the past towards the future) and the Asc (the part of the Asc that describes our path through life).

Expression Number is derived by adding together your whole name. Represents the generalized strengths, weaknesses, talents, and abilities, naturally given to you at birth. Similar to Sun sign.

Personality Number is derived by adding together the consonants in your name. Represents the first impression you make, and the surface of your personality. Similar to an Asc sign (the part of the Asc that describes our demeanor).

Soul Urge Number is derived by adding together the vowels in your name. Represents your inner motivations and urges, the private part of your personality, and your hearts desire. Similar to a Moon sign.

I’d love to hear the results you all came up with.

Oh god, you are into something. I have not even finished your article and I just look at the numbers and planets...

I always thought that I like neptunians more than anything else. I have neptune in 7th quincunx my sole chart dispositor mercury. but other than that I have no planets in piscis. my 7th in scorpio and so on..

guess what! my day number is neptunian.. I think I have been projecting my neptunian flavor more than I thought

the other surprising point was to look at both of the men that have touched me emotionally. they are both saturnian accoridng to their numbers

this not finish here.. I just notice that the man I in love now his ex-girlfriend is also neptunian although with a different day from me and he has venus in piscis...

these just without looking into anything else... SCARY!!!!

I also wanted to add one comment that once IQ said about astrology and all the divination disciplines. he said (what I remember, cannot word it exactly) that the universe always gives hints with whatever the information we have available. said that when pluto had not been discovered, still you could find similar information in the chart. same when a new asteroids is discovered. it just confirm a pattern.

I would say that if we start playing with numerology we will just confirm certain things that were already there, more of the same pattern again and again with different divination tools... and we get nuances and more color with adding new tools to the reading...

I suspect I am not going to find contradiction with what I already know about myself through astrology without adding numerology (I will test it though), but on the contrary, it will reinforce the themes and will show others that are still hidden.

On another note, I wonder if we can apply the numbers to the houses? or is it too much.. I guess we already are doing this when we think about the house associated to the sign...

just wondering where these numbers come from.. in any way from my initial test, they seem to work.. Oh god!

Heart is 12/3. 1st wife was 12th mo SAG w/Libra Moon in my 3H.
Expression is 62/8. 2 paranatal eclipses on 8 date totals. Strongly resonate with 8 BirthPath.
My Venus in Gemini. I like 3 Heart or Personality.
My Mars in Leo. Powerfully resonant with 5 BirthPath.
5H is Sag, and Jupiter in 5H.
7H is Aqua. Not attracted to 4 numerology.
8H is Pisces. Attracted to girls who activate my 3H Libra Neptune.
My fave romantic prospects are both Leos, born on 3rd w/5 BP, and 17th w/5 BP.

Hi comdoc,

How it works is you compare your Venus, and 5th, 7th, and 8th houses to your partner's numerology.

With Venus in Gemini you'll be attracted to women with a strong 5 numerologically, as 5 is ruled by Mercury.

With Sag on the 5th house you'll be attracted to women with a strong 3 numerologicaly, as 3 is ruled by Jupiter.

What's the sign of your 7th house ruler? This might shed more light.

With Aqua on the 7th, you'd supposedly be attracted to women with 4 strong in their numerological chart. Not the case for you, as you've said.

With Pisces on the 8th house, you'd be attracted to women with a strong 7 numerologically, because 7 is ruled by Neptune.

1st thing that amazed me...I was born on the 16th and I have a Pisces ASC (Hi Neptune!)

I did have this intense obssession with a guy who had Venus conj Neptune in Libra...guess who's my 8th house ruler
(Venus - Libra cusp)

He was born on the 26 (Saturn) I have Venus opposite Saturn (and Neptune)...Sat in Capricorn....he also has Sun conj Saturn (OMG)

I was in love for years with an 8 born as well - more Saturn. Sun in 16º Leo (Neptune degree). A Saturn conj Uranus opp Venus conj Moon.

So it seems that the numbers do add up (pun intended).

I intend to associate the degrees of my planets to the ones from numerology and see if I find interesting stuff....

Cool thread

You know, I always used to wonder about the repitition of certain birth *dates* in my friends. For instance, I know several people born on the Xth, Yth and Zth of months. Sometimes multiple people born on Xth of Z month --> as in, same day, same month!!

This explains a lot.
My Dsc ruler is Mercury (5), and it's in Scorpio (ruled by Pluto, so the 10, 20.. series as well as Mars, the 9, 18, 27..series).

So far, I could only explain the 9's series, 'coz I attributed it to my birthdate parallels (Cheiro's numerology). These are in the same series as my birth 'date' number. So, the 9's, 6's and 3's always somehow find each other -- until now, that has been the only operative assumption.

But what you've written opens up a lot more possibilities, and explains the numbers other than the 3,6,9 series that are prominent in my life.

Brilliant work!

------------------------------------
*Examples: (please don't quote, I might take these down later)
I know: (know as in, friends with/have a history with/am acquainted intimately with)
Two people born on 23rd May
Three people born on 6th Jan
Two people born on 29th June
Quite a few 20ths & 30ths, 1sts & 2nds
A whopping five people born on 9th Nov. Damn you Scorpios, just leave me alone already!!
Also know three 25th Dec folks -- haven't figured that one out yet. One of these was my favourite headmaster.

--These are off the top of my head, the numbers could be more. But I'm only counting people who were close to me anyway..
