An additional aid in predictive forecasting and understanding current and past dynamics

I'm going to speak specifically to the progression of Sun/Moon midpoints, but welcome discussion on any of the progressed midpoints (I would like to look into Moon/MC next, perhaps, given that this is a soul-oriented midpoint, apparently).

I'll start here by saying that I wholly agree with Dawn Bodrogi who says that the progressed solilunar midpoint is an invaluable tool for tracking relationship dynamics (she says something to that effect). I've been observing the progressed Sun/Moon midpoint and it is extremely accurate in pinpointing the energetic tone of a relatinship on an intrinsic level when compared to the chart of the other and to our own charts as well.

When I got together with my current partner, his progressed Sun/Moon midpoint was conjunct my Jupiter (2 degrees Gemini). We were head over heels in love and I was really allowed the full expression of my Jupiter energy with him. There was just such a clear channel to his most intimate being, and we felt complete together and overjoyed about it. There was no holding back. I was hilarious, he was swept off his feet, I felt like the best version of myself possible. Ain't it always that way? But anyway, it was a very auspicious beginning and seems to have been timed just right to enable us to see the full potential of our relating. Well, the full potential of course includes going through much hardship and learning together, but the full potential of fun and intimacy was definitely hinted at at that time!

That progressed Sun/Moon midpoint of his has moved on since then; it just passed a conjunction with my Vertex (5 Gemini) and is moving towards the square with my natal North Node (11 Pisces).

My progressed Sun/Moon midpoint was conjunct his natal North Node when we first got together. It has since moved on from there and is now conjunct my own Saturn (!!! yes, I feel it, but it's not a bad thing, just certainly.. focused) and is now square his Moon at 0 Aries. It will be square my own Mars exactly very soon (within 1 degree now), and I can definitely feel the motion of this midpoint subtly shifting from a Saturn vibe to a Martian focus; I am actually learning a great deal about my own Saturn and Mars energy right now, and having revelations about the direction of my Martian energy and the way it has affected my life and those around me. It's interesting to note that my Mars at 1 Aries squares the North/South Node axis of several very important people in my life: my mother (NN 0 Cancer), my daughter (NN 27 Sag), my partner (NN 27 Gemini), and two of my very good friends. I actually have close relationships with one person born every time this nodal configuration appeared dating back to the 1960's when my mom was born, and possibly more I don't know about. My Saturn at 0 degrees of Capricorn and my Mars at 1 Aries confirms that all of these relationships are karmic in nature for me and requiring me to manifest those energies more consciously and for the good of those people, rather than letting my anger and misdirection of energy negatively affect them.

Anyway, this whole realization is happening as my progressed Sun/Moon midpoint is coming upon the exact square to that Mars and is sitting on my Saturn, which I think is fascinating.

I would highly encourage others to track the position of their progressed Sun/Moon midpoints. It might be very instructive!

Those midpoints not associated with the Moon don't move as fast either so they'll be at play a long time... I think this is probably a valuable piece of the puzzle in terms of progressed synastry, to look at key midpoints and how they're being activated by one another over time. The question becomes which ones are key, for what, and why?

I'm actually very curious to see what will happen when my Sun/Moon midpoint moves on from my partner's Moon... but of course those energies which have been activated will continue to play out (this is something Dawn mentions too, that the activation of the progressed Sun/Moon midpoint will continue to reverberate after it's passed). The things we've learned and experienced stay with us and mold us and change us, and progressed synastry aspects--especially when they are deep and long enough--can seemingly create enough of a foundation for a relationship that changing waters and heavens and circumstances can't too easily shake what was built... especially of course if the original synastry of the natals is strong... Then again, the circle moves around and around and eventually our Sun/Moon midpoints WILL return to the place they were at so many years ago.

My progressed Sun/Venus midpoint at 5 Sagittarius is on my natal Anti-Vertex and his Solar Arc directed Vertex.

Also, my Moon/Venus and Moon/Ascendant midpoints at 16 Sag are right around his descendant (which is somewhere between 14 and 17 Sag).

Whoa whoa whoa... by fluke I checked his progressed midpoints for 2007 which is the year we met and HIS Sun/Venus midpoint at that time was at 5 Gemini!!! Craaazy. His progressed Vertex was also conjunct my Sun (2 degrees wide) , and his Sun/Moon midpoint that summer was conjunct his natal Moon.

At the time of the "Get Together" in August the pr Sun/Moon-mp will be 17°27 Scorpio, just having passed the square to natal Moon and being conjunct the pr MC on 18°03 Scorpio then. (I find this interesting as Mr Sag`s Venus/jupiter and Venus/Mars midpoints are at about 18 Scorpio as well).

well actually his Venus/Jupiter is 18°02 Scorpio, so my pr MC couldn`t really be much closer to this in august! 2 minutes of orb.
His Venus/Mars i a bit further on the degree on 18°30 Scorpio

Nevertheless he does not have any planets on the mid degrees of fixed signs unless we count his Valentine at 19 Scorpio.
So my pr Sun/moon-mp is not relating to any of his planets (though it WILL eventually move into a conjunction with his n Uranus on 23 Scorpio of course - next year probably)

But what I did notice however is that while it is not strongly aspecting his natal chart, it IS aspecting our composite!

Namely the stellium around the IC I have been reflecting on today. lol

You know Eros-Priapus-Dionysos on IC, all from 14-16 Taurus. So my pr Sun/Moon-mp is right there. IC being on 16°38 Taurus.

And interestingly enough while Mr Sag`s pr Sun/Moon-mp is currently not aligned with my chart either (it had been conjunct my pJupiter at the end of last year/ beginning of this year though) and it WILL move into a square to my natal Sun, which seems... interesting.

But for now, or rather 12th august , his pr Sun/Moon is on 22°48 Pisces (still over 3 degrees off the square to my n Sun).

however it IS applying to a conjunction with our pr composite ASC on 23°58 Pisces.

and wow, curiously it is also the 5 Gemini(Sag) axis!

BTW I think Sun/Venus-mp must be marvellous as well, a midpoint for falling in love.
