Meaning if you have an aspect in synastry but the orb was 8 degrees?

I would count it because Sun is luminary but consider it a weak square, even weaker if aspect is separating (then I wouldn't worry about this aspect too much.

So when an aspect has a wide orb it doesn't affect you as much? For example I have a Venus square Saturn aspect in my natal chart but it's an 8 orb.

I'm not really sure what the affects are of this aspect? Just feeling unworthy of love? I don't feel that way.

On its own a 8 degree orb would be very subtle and not in the foreground.

there are some factors which can modify this, for example if there is a parallel at the same time, or another planet aspect Sun AND Saturn (with about an orb of 4 degrees each), or maybe if one of these were angular.

But as isolated factor, no, I donīt think it is very much in your face.

I don't have a Saturn/Sun aspect in my natal. I do have Mercury sextile Saturn but the orb is at -5. I do prefer to be with an older crowd which I've read is one of the affects of this aspect.
