This is a question to everyone who is or has been married before, also everyone in a long-term relationship (many years).

Could you please check for me if in synastry you have any of these aspects - Sun/Sun, Moon/Moon, Venus/Venus. Mercury/Mercury too.

I would like to see if there are couples who don't have any of these but have stayed together for many years. Thanks.

I don't think these aspects are necessary for a relationship to last long-term. I've seen more examples of long-term synastry WITHOUT these aspects than with.

However, that being said...my parents have been together 30+ years and they have...

Sun conj. Sun
Moon trine Moon
Mercury conj. Mercury (wide)

Their marriage hasn't been all rainbows and sunshine though. Quite the contrary...but they do hold it together at the end of the day somehow.

To contrast, my SO's parents who are great have been together 40+ years and they don't have any of these aspects.

At end of the day, its always atttaction aspects and you seal it with a few Saturn aspects for longevity.

Attraction being, Venus/Mars/Pluto, Moon/Mars/Pluto, Venus/Moon, Sun/Mars, Sun/Moon, etc...

I have yet to see a synastry of longterm couple without an aspect between the luminaries to each other and / or to an angle. Either in synastry or sometimes in composite.

I went through my database to find such a couple - but I had no luck.

Just naming these fewe

my best friend and her husband
Moon square Sun
Moon sextile Moon
DESC conjunct Sun

my brother and his girlfriend
ASC conjunct Sun
DESC conjunct Moon
MC square Sun
MC square Moon

my parents
Sun square Sun
Sun oppospite Moon

Usually Venus has some very important aspects as well as does Saturn of course.

But yeah, those were just the closest relationships to me, but even with checking the others there always was at least one, but usually 2 aspects of those (I use a 5 degree orb).

I did not check the declinations but suspect those might figure too

I think most solid couples will have these, at least one of them. I have checked the people I know and there was 1 couple that didn't have any aspects between these planets but they had both Moon in the same sign, which in my opinion is similar to Moon/Moon aspect feel. Things like that count too - harmonious signs and elements.

Yes, especially Moons in compatible elements is VERY helpful.
The only lasting happy couples I have found so far without that are my brother and his girlfriend, but her Sun-Moon-opposition overlays his ASC-DESC-axis.

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year.

Mercury conjunct Mercury, 0'
We are very understanding of each other. Have not had a single argument yet.

Don't think you can classify this as conjunct but we are both the same sun sign. Although on the opposite ends of the sign.

Our composite Sun and Moon are conjunct by 2'.

Hi there,

The man I was with for 8 years and ultimately married to (and divorced eventually) had:

Sun Opp. Moon
Moon Conjunct DSC
Mars Conjunct ASC (Double whammy)
ASC conjunct Sun (Wide)
Venus Sextile Venus
Moon Sextile Mercury

I think it's important to have something going on with the angles and a personal planet.

I've never had these aspects in most of my relationships.

My longest relationship had none of these aspects and we dated on and off for 7 years.

Yes, my sister had Moon sextile Moon, and her Moon sextile her ex-husbands Sun. They were together for 20 years.
