Why didn't you ask jadave what the exact orbs are then? Anything over 2° is technically out of orb.

Hi Faithie, Your Nemesis is conjunct mine, too?? Andy`s (you remember ?) is mine, as well. He did - and in a smoother way you do, too- what Nemesis really is about. Balancing the scales of Karma. Forcing me to take a hard look at myself, evaluate the truth behind what is being said, what I tell myself, and since she is the Goddess of Karmic retribution. She takes away from those who took too much, and gives to to those who took too little. Not always pleasant so see things as they are, but good. IP: Logged |

"In Greek mythology, Nemesis is the divine Goddess of retribution. Known as a remorseless Goddess, it was her role to dish out what was due. Nemesis was worshiped before the God Zeus and was the daughter of Oceanus, the river and sea God.In reality, Nemesis was not a Goddess of doom, it was the human disappointment in receiving ‘what was due’ that twisted her story into being one of negativity. Nemesis was known to punish excessive pride, evil deeds, undeserved happiness and gain, and lack in moderation. She was resentment personified and took action against crimes and those who received boons in the form of undeserved luck. It was Nemesis that would deem a time far too happy, and as it was her role to balance the highs and lows, she would be the one to rip the rug out from underneath the boastful and excessively satisfied. It is also stated that the individual who failed to give proper credit or failed to help others was swiftly brought to a downfall. ASTROLOGY Nemesis To locate asteroid 128 Nemesis in your natal chart, head over to astro.com and input the number in the additional objects field. Keep your aspects major – conjunction, square, opposition and your orbs tight, within 1 degree. This is a tough one as it not only deals with the shadow self, but also real individuals that are a continual attraction. In your natal chart, Nemesis indicates energy influences that tear you down and apart. When young, one can call Nemesis the negative self-fulfilling prophecy. Aspects here reveal pattern behaviour with harsh results. There are battles with the ego brought about by external individuals/influences and a lack of balance. Obviously, as the soul matures and evolves, the battles with Nemesis ‘should’ be more clear to the individual and more conscious modes of dealing with the situations as they arrive transpires. However, without realisation and acceptance of the ongoing Nemesis input, you find an individual that is literally a mouse in a wheel – attracting negativity and bringing about their own downfall due to their denial. However, as with everything, it is not all doom and gloom. Where there is work done, there is reward. Nemesis is neutral don’t forget and is mostly about balance and accepting responsibility. Whilst projecting and parental issues are valid psychological reasoning for behaviour patterns, they also easily become an excuse. In the natal chart, Nemesis calls for responsibility and acceptance of the shadow self. Note your weaknesses and embrace them. Accept that you are flawed and take note of how many times you have experienced a downfall due to your flaws. Take on and embrace ‘your’ role in the negative events and move on from resentment. Wherever Nemesis is placed and whatever is the rulership is a key to personal resentment. When you look towards others, what do you envy? When difficult situations happen, not events or tragedies totally out of your control, but when life events happen, how do you dish out the blame?
Another element of Nemesis that is mentioned in her mythology, is the element of praise. Do you give credit where credit is due? Do you over-value your input in relationships and situations? Do you expect credit and praise but are lax in returning in kind? Nemesis was big on the Gods and Goddesses receiving just thanks and credit. How many people do you know that gladly put up their hand to receive all of the praise for hard efforts when there was more than one individual involved? One element that is hidden here, that is equally as important, is the complete back-swing of this and that is the role of the martyr. There is no one more hard suffering than the individual who takes on ALL of the blame. They are so wrapped up in their shadow self, that they forget that there are other parties involved and fail to also, hand over the responsibility where it is justified. No doubt, you will find this Nemesis is ruled by any sign from Libra onwards, whilst the Nemesis individual that lays blame will have her placed in one of the self signs – Aries to Libra. In transit, aspects to natal Nemesis indicate a time when you will come into contact with your “Nemesis’ type individuals, or behaviour patterns. How to deal with natal Nemesis is acceptance, tolerance and learning how to find balance of blame and responsibility, ego and true achievement. At present, Nemesis sits at 20 degrees Gemini and is about to oppose Ceres in Sagittarius for the next week. Ceres relates to the attitude regarding the maternal role, overall career flow and future seeds. Old patterns return, old feelings of resentment echo in the hallways and their is a battle for self-righteousness. With Nemesis in Gemini, there is a LOT of surface information and input clouding the deeper issues. Nemesis pushes the point about individuals close to home and entices you to remain flighty about career, yet Ceres insists that judgements and final decisions are made. You meet people from the past and present, face old parenting difficulties and reconnect with long lost friends/neighbourhood socialising. This is confusing as the rest of the cosmos pushes towards the past and Mars in Leo lies limp without energy. Do you be rude and say push off? Do you reconcile? Do you forgive and forget? As with everything Gemini, it is all about the exploration and the learning experience. It is all about distancing yourself from external opinion and working with what is right for you. Not even necessarily the input from the intimate environment either, just you and what is essential for your survival. It is tempting to avoid digging deeper, avoid standing up for yourself, protecting your own opinion and desire. With so much Aquarius influence, the goal is focusing the soul on the broader picture and to remove the emotional intensity from any decisions made. It IS a time to move forward, but with balance. It is all about the precarious element of balance." http://astrologyclub.org/asteroid-nemesis/ That is how I observed her in my own life too.

Aye, my Nemesis @ 26.10° Sag. Of course I only give to you, because you took too little. Thanks for the information and education you provided here. Wouldn't want anyone cutting people out of their lives just because, "Your asteroids are not where I want them to be. " LOL IP: Logged |

"Aye, my Nemesis @ 26.10° Sag." THAT is close!"Of course I only give to you, because you took too little. " HAHA, question is too little of what? Interestingly this would conjunct a bunch of planets and asteroids in my chart, as my Sun seems to pull in those. Mercury 25°02 Sag Sun 25°56 Sag Merlin 24°35 Sag Robinhood 25°33 Sag Ginevra 26°30 Sag (probably named after Guinevere, yes THAT Guinevere) King 26°36 Sag Tesla 27°04 Sag Jung 27°15 Sag (one of my ancestral names) Reiki 27°35 Sag Circe 27°37 Sag So the tightest relation to my Sun is to Robinhood in my chart apparently. And your Nemesis most closely is aligned with my Sun really. "Thanks for the information and education you provided here. Wouldn't want anyone cutting people out of their lives just because, "Your asteroids are not where I want them to be. " LOL Yes, wouldn`t want that either. That is where I think astrology is in the risk, of sliding in some form of judgemental attitude, that detracts from the good it can deliver, which is really understanding. Seeing what is going on, helps understand things and THEN you can start dealing with the harsh stuff, too, BECAUSE you understand it. If my parents had been to visit an astrologer before marriage (a Vedic one) they would never have been given the green light to marry at all. And what was the result? over 40 years of love, 3 children, bringing up my aunt as well, sticking together as lovers and friends and parents, and changing the world (our social world at least) a little bit.
I´d say that is pretty good for a marriage. BTW my Dad`s Nemesis is conjunct his own NN, and opposes my Mom`s Saturn on his Mars
her Nemesis square his Uranus exact.
I find it interesting that HIS Nemesis aspects her Saturn, and HER Nemesis aspects his Uranus. Interestingly enough, it fits. Whenever he gets overboard with having grand and totally crazy ideas that would not stand the test of reality, she can be counted on letting the air out of his hot idea-balloon (but encouraging ideas that might SOUND crazy, but actually have a chance of realization). And when she gets all somber, overly serious and just about work, work, work, he pushes her out of it, by doing something totally unexpected and crazy and making her laugh. Apparently they found a way to dish out a positive Nemesis to each other, though of course he does not like it initially if she grounds his high flying mind and she grumbles a lot about his childishness (but they are also aware that they need exactly that, as a balance). Check out all those asteroids conjunct your sun!!! JUNG, too...an ancestral name? WOW My Nemesis needs to be an octopus to challenge it all at once. Thanks very much for the story of your parents. Clear illustration of how it can work out productively. We all need some devil's advocate in our lives. Tough love, no pain no gain, etc... "BTW my Dad`s Nemesis is conjunct his own NN" My husband has that too. Close to my NN, but out of orb. (I always respect the charts.) Well he can really be a pain sometimes, but he can also be really nice and uplifting and a hero. See, he is learning to wield Nemesis properly? And we are all works-in-progress. "HAHA, question is too little of what?" You gave yourself too little credit for your magnificence!

"Check out all those asteroids conjunct your sun!!! JUNG, too...an ancestral name?" Yes, pretty much going on, and yes JUNG is the family name of my maternal grandfather`s cousin I think. Or was it even closer than that? "We all need some devil's advocate in our lives. Tough love, no pain no gain, etc..." Yes, we do.
"And we are all works-in-progress. Exactly! "ou gave yourself too little credit for your magnificence!" HAHA, be careful your Nemesis gets blinded by my sun. (nothing can blind Nemesis though, that is why she is the goddess keeping the scales in balance). IP: Logged |
