My significant other is a mutable dominant, and a Cancer mars. He shys away from conflict, and when we do get in an argument he wants to end it immediately, but holds in his grudges until it explodes and he lashes out in blind anger.

It's been a big balancing act for both of us to deal with how each other expresses our frustrations. We've gotten much better at arguing, but we still have our bad moments. I have to realize that I can be very critical, I am brash and if somethings bothering me I will address it right away, which can be overwhelming for my significant other. He's not used to my aggression. On the other hand, he holds things in until he pops and it's just blind rage. But it seems so unlike his normal nurturing self, he's hurtful and irrational.

We've been working on finding a big balance between him holding in his concerns, and me going straight to criticism and aggression. For the most part Mars opposite Mars has been difficult, but it's also been very rewarding. We can work together towards a better us, and his Cancer mars is so nurturing to my busy Capricorn mars, that it feels like we've built a comfortable home together.
