I have one nasty aspect in my synastry - Mars Saturn square. It's exact. It is the aspect that I expect will be felt the most because it is Literally one of the few tense aspects. So that's where most of the problems will probably come from (just my guess).. Could you please tell me briefly what to be ready for, how to combat it and if there's anything positive at all about this aspect? Thank you A bit more info:
My Saturn in Scorpio (falls in his 7H), my 4H ruler

Because you directed your mindset at possible doom. Don`t do that. Mars Saturn of course is not an easy combination, but you can make it work with a lot of consciousness. Understand that Mars needs to move and put energy into something, understand that Saturn needs security and structure and a slower approach. Combine both. even though it might not be easy. Do a project together (Whatever it is). With Mars-Saturn you will need to build something constructively. Hand Saturn the organization and let Mars do the drilling or the running around or whatever you choose to do. They might work actually well as a team. Though in a square it will be of course challenging, so focus on the modality that is the same, keep it in balance. If it is mutable it might actually be easier. as mutables are pretty much adaptable.
Hmm yours is fixed, could be a bit difficult, as fixed energy can be rather well, fixed.
But if you respect that you have different needs it might work.

Oh Ceri! )) Don't joke like that. I have to agree that mindset is a problem, unconscious though because I really don't think so negatively, that this square is like a nail on the coffin, no. But the moment I read your reply I was like 'that's it. It's doomed'. Total surrender. So this aspect. Is it like a strict teacher and a pupil who doesn't want to study but wants to play? And if the teacher is too strict and doesn't understand the child then there will be no positive outcome. Something like that? IP: Logged |

Yes you could say that.
It`s a challenging aspect for sure, but it CAN be handled. And if it is handled well, it can make a relationship much more solid than many other more beautifully looking relationships.
There is substance here!
But yes, it`s not easy, and probably it would be best, if either of you had a strong Saturn. Even Venus-Saturn or Mars-Saturn or Saturn in 7th, ruler of 7th conjunct SAturn, something like that.
Because it would indicate that you need this seriousness that this aspect brings.
If you are all about Uranus and Jupiter (aspecting Venus, Mars, 7th house, ruler of 7th), then it could be more difficult, as you might feel like Saturn stifled you too much.

I had mars in the 8th conjunct his Saturn in the 12th. I guess this explains things to a degree, I want to date and do romantic things. He didn't want commitment or to date. Even though he took me out when we first met, so it's over. I am NOT that type of girl!!! He can forget it!!! The conjunction is in taurus. IP: Logged |
