Topic: Composite chart = mom's natal chart?

So I calculated the composite chart for me and my romantic interest. Weird thing is, it looks similar to my mom's natal chart. The signs in the personal planets of the composite chart (rising, sun, moon, mars, venus, mercury) and Saturn match my mom's natal. They're not exact to the degree, though. Significant meaning, hard to say what exactly... But our mothers are incredibly important beings, astrologically m and biologically, karmically, etc. There is nobody in the world who has had more of an impact on who you are... just by virtue of having been in somebody's actual body, and come from their flesh.. then depending on further aspects of your relationship with her, your chart, etc, she might feel most like home to you of anybody. Sowe will see that your natal chart is aspected by the composite similar to how her chart aspects yours, and gives you similar feels.With my partner, our composite Venus is conjunct his mother's Venus to the degree... also a funny thing: his North Node of the Moon is conjunct my.mothers North Node and my North Node is conjunct HIS mother's North Node. Kinda wild I think, but not exactly surprising in a significant relationship. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the thoughts, Yungang.My relationship with my mom is pretty good. She is selfless and devoted like the stereotypical characteristics of a Virgo. In terms of raising me and providing for me, I could not have asked for anyone better. Emotionally and in terms of outward expressions of affection, it's always been on the cool side though. Not downright cold, but it's become normal to me. So when girlfriends showed me warmth and affection, I sometimes didn't know the right way to take it. I liked it and wanted it though. At the end of the day, I love my mom and would die for her if I had to. Could be the karmic result of my Moon in Libra? My mom's Saturn and Jupiter both square my Sun though. All the interpretations for these aspects seem to ring true for us. The girl I'm seeing somehow resembles some of the qualities of my relationship with my mom. Quietly helpful and attentive, yet not super emotional. She has her Saturn opposite Sun natally, Pluto square Sun natally, and a retrograde Saturn - so it seems her chart is complex and may have her own issues to deal with. We have good chemistry, but her Saturn squares my Venus to top it all off. She's 5 years younger than me, but acts like the disapproving parent while I'm the reckless child. IP: Logged |

Of course she has a complex chart and her own issues.  that's alright, we all do...It's interesting to hear some of your story, and to hear how the relationship is in some ways similar to that you have with your mom. Very interesting, I bet the whole synastry is fascinating. I'm interested to know how your Moon is activated in the synastry/synastry to composite, and what it's aspects are natally as well.. Yes I agree. I'm no easy simple person either! I'll try to bring up the charts, Yungang.

Haha, I hope you're right Ami. Yes, I've made lots of moves. We've done things together, but at times it feels like things are going in circles. Sometimes she'll withdraw and what seems like total disinterest was actually insecurity and fear from her end (so she says). When I'm not with her, she fears I'm seeing someone else (but I'm not). I think she sees me as some player. She can be very serious and hard on herself sometimes - I try to get her to lighten up and just enjoy life once in awhile. IP: Logged |

Haven't found much on this aspect. But pain from previous lifetimes would seem to be the intuitive theme considering the 2 things involved. Would like to learn more about it though. I won't argue with that. Although I get pretty obsessed with a lot of things myself! I don't know if I'd necessarily wish for someone to obsess over me, since I know too well how consuming that can feel. On the other hand, it would feel good for someone to feel as strongly for me as I do for them.

Never heard of the different types of moon babies being attracted to certain types. That's very interesting. Learn something new! About the identity thing, you may be scarily right.
