I don't think it really means anything unless one of your planets is conjunct it.

The nodes are shadow planets, not real planets. So they're influence is primarily on the native and doesn't really have any influence in synastry unless the other native's planet goes conjunct one of them.(which would automatically make it opposite the other node).

Other aspects such as trines, sextiles, squares, etc to the nodes in synastry have NO effect.

Anyway that's how I feel about it. Others may have a different take.

What do you think of a Moon conjunct another's North Node in synastry, double whammy?

Based on my own experiences- Moon Conjunct NN is a good sign. Generally it means that the node person can potentially grow and learn a lot from the moon person and the moon person can be inspired by the node person. However the node person might be a bit tentative to grow depending on their own fears.

Moon Conjunct SN can potentially be draining for the moon person. The south node has almost a black hole kind of quality where it sucks in energy. After spending too much time together the moon person can sometimes feel emotionally drained while the south node person gains energy from the relationship because it reinforces their nature. But it also creates a strong connection to one another.

I've never had a double whammy, but I'm guessing a double whammy of this aspect would be good either way- but better if it's NN conj moon.
