I don't know why, but I just don't ever feel venus much in synastry. I feel other aspects, but venus seems to be a very soft influence that maybe only comes out in a dating relationship? I've had several platonic relationships with it and I don't find a whole lot of difference in the relationships with lots of positive venus and those with only harsh venus aspects.

I've recently met someone (he's married so it's not a romantic option) who has LOTS of tight Venus trines with my stellium of planets. (although our tightest aspect is his mars square my moon which is exact at zero degrees). I feel the mars, but I usually feel mars very easily. I don't feel any venus in our friendship yet. Maybe I'll never feel it because we're not in a romantic relationship?

For me, Venus works in subtle ways. It informs me of what I like, what I look for in a woman. It shows how I express affection and how I want to receive it. It doesn't make me attracted to someone in an active form, rather it tells me how I feel about being attracted or attractive to someone.

Does that make sense?

yes it does... and I also think that as a man, you'd probably be more in tune to Venus's influence in synastry because venus represents a man's ideal woman according to ancient texts.

Do you also feel this influence when you're with other males or females you have no attraction to?

Family gets to see it, though more so the women. Grandma was a cancer with a cancer stellium. Mom was a cancer rising and moon with Mars in Cancer conjunct my Venus. For a male friend to see that side, they have to be as close to me as family. They are more likely to get Taurus Mars Scorpio rising, then I open up to Gemini sun Leo moon if I get used to them.

My Venus is Rx though, and part of a grand trine with the Asc and Saturn, so that is part of why it's so internalized for me.
