No. Howevr look in declination to see if they are in parallel within 1 degree. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

In astro.com go to additional tables in the chart page, there is a column "Declination" next to Latitude. Compare those values with your own Declination values within 1º orb. N means North and S means South. When both are in the same direction it's a Parallel aspect, when the planets are in opposing direction it's a Contra-Parallel. They work similarly as conjunctions and oppositions. IP: Logged |

Oh, thank you very much! So in this the sign is not necessary, just the numbers? IP: Logged |

They are not exactly conjunct by any means, but an energetic resonance will be felt, a mutual understanding of and appreciation for similar things, a somatic comfort felt by the Moon with that which Venus enjoys, etc etc. I personally would read it as significant. It would be a contributing factor in compatibility, certainly, to have Moon and Venus in the same sign, just as it is to have Moon and ascendant in the same sign, regardless of orb.I personally read charts like novels, as fluid, living entities, and if I saw this I wouldn't disregard it on purely mathematical grounds, although of course the wideness of orb must be taken into account, I would read this novel as being a bit of a watered down version of the more exact moon Venus conjunction... But to ignore it completely based on tightness of orb would be to miss an important part of the overall puzzle which describes the actual lived experience of the resonance between two people. A wide same sign conjunction of personal planets has, in my experience, given a comfort and a flavour of deep familiarity, without the compulsion to relate which often comes with a tighter aspect... There is still compulsion, but not necessarily to the same extent.
