Juno, in Ancient Rome, was the deity associated with childbirth and childbearing women. Along with the other tough Moon Goddesses, she prevailed over this incredibly important aspect of human life. She was often depicted as very strong and youthful, and there are those who focus mostly on her strength, youthfulness, and vigour when considering her myth... but she is also attuned to deeply feminine processes, needs, and meanings, and as such her protection and wisdom and justice would seem to be channeled towards whatever is needed to nourish and protect the mothers of the world...Astrologically, she shows up in many non romantic situations. As most books and astrological articles which are even a bit academic (astrological version of academic) will tell you, this asteroid is much more than about "the wife" or "ideal partner," although ideal partner comes closer because it represents what we are willing to do and what we require in order to feel that a relationship is fair and equitable, beneficial for everybody involved (even if the cake isn't split evenly down the middle, Juno makes sure everybody gets the right amount for how big they are/how hungry they are... the difference between equality and fairness)... So Juno deals very much with fairness in relationships of all kinds, and is often implicated in the charts of social justice warriors, people who stand up for the rights of the underdog, who use their voices and their lives to ensure that those who can't speak as loudly as others have their voices heard nonetheless. My Juno is opposite my daughter's Ceres; it is our tightest synastric aspect. These are both asteroids about mothering, after all... Ceres more to do with nourishment after birth, the long and cyclical process of moving away and back towards the mother.as.life force... Juno, the one who watches over the process of birth and gestation itself, and who deals in all manner of issues to do with equitable partnerships (hence her warrior aspect!). My daughter and I certainly explore these realms together, so this opposition makes sense. IP: Logged |

I think it makes perfect sense that your Juno would make positive aspects to the mother of your love's Juno and Venus, etc! She bore your love, right?IP: Logged |

Also there's a need for balanced and equitable relating with Juno, so it's ideal to have positive Juno aspects with in-laws, especially!I wrote a new post because I got inspired by your question... http://www.intimatesky.net It's the Juno one. It could probably be more useful. But oh well. IP: Logged | |
