I read that - among other things- if there are repeated aspects occurring in the Solar Return chart, that we have already had in natal (I consider the repetition even if it is not the same aspect, though this might modify the expression), then this should manifest clearly and give us possibilities to manifest that aspect or work with it.

For me that happened in last year`s Solar Return actually:

° SR Venus sextile SR Pluto 0°51
° SR Venus sextile SR MC 0°36
° SR Pluto trine SR MC 1°27

natally I have Pluto conjunct MC, square Venus

As you can see the recent Return-configuration was more harmonious than my natal configuration, though because of it being a minor triangle in the Return chart, the interconnection between Pluto-Venus-MC was rather strong, also because it came with the triple midpoint configuration (which is said to be a prominent occurrence as well, if you have all variations of the same three planets in midpoint-association)

in my Solar Return it was

Pluto = Venus/MC 1°09
Venus = Pluto/MC 0°07 (conjunction)
MC = Venus/Pluto 1°01

Of these of course the Venus? Pluto/MC was the most prominent.

Natally I have

Venus = Pluto/MC 0°53

So the midpoint picture was being repeated, too, and actually made more prominent (my natal one is an indirect midpoint through square, the Solar Return had the direct one through conjunction - both are strongly activating, but I guess the direct ones are a bit more important)

Interestingly, enough Pluto and Venus were the rulers of my horizon in the last Solar Return, Venus ruling DESC, Pluto ASC.

And yes, it`s true I have been very concerned with relationships in all colours really, from personal romantically coloured ones, over friendships, family relations and all of them undergoing a tremendous transformation, but while emotionally demanding and sometimes triggered by quite dramatic occurrences, the transformations of the relationships itself happened quite smoothly i must say, true to the harmonious aspects in the Solar Return, though the emotional experience of it was HUGE, and the implications and consequences for my emotional development as well.

So for me this seemed to have really hit home.

Well official interpretations for the midpoints would have been:

M.C. TO MIDPOINT VENUS/PLUTO
Artistic success; love affairs brought out into the open. Fated, karmic union.

PLUTO TO MIDPOINT VENUS/M.C.
Tremendous focus on an artistic career; cultural exposure, publicity.
An unusual power of attraction. A strange providence in love relationship.

VENUS TO MIDPOINT PLUTO/M.C.
An unusual power of attraction and also unusually strong attachment.

Probably would have been only stronger if either of those would have been angular which they were not, though well SR Vertex was EXACT opposite natal Venus. lol

HOw about you? Do you recall years where a natal configuration or aspect (it was just coincidence it was a three-part aspect in my case, could have been a simple aspect as well) was repeated in the Solar Return, and how did that manifest in the year?

Well death and rebirth were literally prominent all year for me, with my best friend`s mom dying in spring very surprisingly, and on the other hand with my nephew being born in august, who is the first (and possibly only ) birth of the new generation into my family, and this was a complete transformation for the whole family, but also most definitely both occurrences shaped my emotional attitude considerably, and then of course there were some other stuff happening in between and surrounding.

I still giggle a little about the synchronicity of me getting the news of my nephew?s birth while being on a station waiting to switch trains to get from my home to another destination. It was just, well of course he would be born THAT day and of course I would learn of it while being literally moving and travelling, therefore being such a literal depiction of the journey. lol

Natal Pluto conjunct Ascendant
2014 SR: Pluto square Ascendant - orb of 2
2015 SR: Pluto opposite Ascendant - orb of 4

I don't know how this aspect manifested. I just thought it was amusing that Pluto touched my SR Ascendant two years in a row.

Natal Venus trine Jupiter
2016 SR: Venus trine Jupiter

I spent the greater portion of the past year on an antidepressant that gave me severe sweet cravings, which is one of the reasons I asked my psychiatrist to switch me to a different antidepressant at the end of September. So, the part about Venus trine Jupiter indicating self-indulgence was partially right this year.

That is very interesting about angular Pluto. It should have made itself known, I mean it was also angular!

Was there a big transformation in relationships, or even in the way you were relating to other people?
Sometimes Pluto on DESC could also mean a break-up/ divorce or if you were single the beginning of a very important relationship (sometimes friendship), which might changet he course of your life (either beneficially or sometimes adversely).

With Pluto on ASC - I wonder if something connected to your body or self-perception or even your health was or is undergoing changes.

Also Pluto on ASC as repeated aspects might be bringing up issues surrounding your own power and strength, either feeling powerless and completely controlled by outside circumstances or people, or if it really goes well, finding your own inner strength and power and exuding a rather compelling appeal to others as well.

Pluto is just so extreme, so it is not always easy if the change would be constructive or destructive.

But whatever Pluto touches, is being reshaped for good or ill.

Venus-trine-Jupiter as indulgent makes sense, too.

EDIT
BTW did something happen in relation to psychotherapy in those years 2014 or 2015? Cause Pluto is associated with that as well?

Yes. I met my current boyfriend in 2014. Since meeting him, my life has been significantly changed for the better.

Before my Solar Return for this year kicked in, I think my brain defied logic and managed to develop a little more even in the middle of severe fatigue and untreated depression. Because it did that, I was able to recognize that I was depressed in the first place and I began treatment before it could do lasting damage. Also, this year I've spent a lot of time working on improving my mental health. I think I've really matured within the past year.

In 2015, I discovered the concept of synchronicity. At first, the synchronicity I experienced resulted in me feeling powerless and completely controlled by outside circumstances, but back in August of this year, something shifted. The synchronicity is still present, but I am not as damaged by it. I have matured a lot from the synchronicity. Saturn could be indicating this too, becaues it's moving through my 1st house.

In my case, I think the change was constructive. It wouldn't really be "change" if it was destructive, because I'm too used to destructive changes. Sort of like how I knew transit Uranus conjunct my natal Mercury wouldn't be that bad, because Uranus isn't supposed to bring more of the same thing.
