Good morning. I was wondering how this combo relates to each other. Are they tender and compassionate to one another? Is it too much sensitivity? Would Scorpio scare the poo out of Cancer and would Cancer have to not do their usual snapping?

Well, I just had dinner with him, and he barely spoke as if maybe he was thinking, "this is a mistake". Then I got home and read his email telling me how much he enjoyed having supper and talking with me!!!????

I can try to answer... Scorpio and Cancer will fundamentally be a good match since they are both in the element of water. Meaning their natures will be in sync and there should be many similarities. The water-water couples I've known in person, from my perspective, seem to be bogged down by a lot of emotional drama but it will be balanced out by other elements in the chart so don't worry. Knowing the rest of the natal chart of both people or the synastry would give you more insight and a clearer picture of what the dynamic is like. I believe it's safe to say that Scorpio will take longer than Cancer to warm up to their partner since Cancer is more nurturing and Scorpio more private.

Thank you, Dreams. I just don't think this will work. He deliberately ignored me through emails this afternoon and then asked me out for dinner tomorrow. Should I be patient or just call it quits?

Hmm.. that's a tough one without knowing the history and context. If you intentionally deny or rain-check his dinner invite even though you want to go in hopes that it will level the playing field, he will see through it. Maybe that's what you want though, for him to see that there are repercussions. (I feel strange giving advice to someone over the internet... my advice may not be healthy or in your best interest!). Personally, I think one of many smart "moves" would be to politely say you're busy (busy is busy, don't explain more.) Then wait a bit so that sinks in and offer a counter/rain-check like "I'm free next Wednesday and Friday though? " I wish I would follow my own advice... :\ Now I have to wait for my Scorpio Moon to come back and read the never ending threads on their mind games/silences. I deal with this by planning long-term trips and getting certified/licenses in different interests around the world so I still feel like I'm living my life lol... 5 weeks until Scuba time lol

ETA: be patient... read through the Scorpio threads on this site for more .. reassurance.. but always use your own common sense lovely.

I think it's a great combo, I think any sun-moon in same elements are fabulous <3

Now, Cancer can be needy and very childish emotion wise, scorpio isn't. Not replying for an afternoon isn't ignoring anyone lol I have scorpio in my chart too and I need to observe for a while before I say/do anything, I also need to feel things deeply.... I'm slow because I go deep and then all of a sudden I may be impulsive, but mostly: slow and intense lol

Don't try to figure scorpio out, trust it, that's when the rewards come. I know scorpios have a reputation for manipulation but I actually think cancers are more prone to it, something about scorpio is too radical, too intense, too loyal, they see mind games and can play them, I wouldn't be so sure they'd initiate them with someone they care about (unless it's in a context of complete trust and it's just about games.
It's smart to protect yourself but don't get defensive, scorpio could take that as an attack, hope the dinner went well
