Hi, this is a friend of mine whom I've known for a bit now. We used to spend alot of time together when I lived elsewhere, but since I moved I occasionally would pop by and say hi to him a bit. Now that he knows that I'm single, he told me that he likes me and would want to date me. The problem is the long distance, and my answer to him was always unsure. He knows about some of my past and I know of his too. Funny enough, my ex knew him and I knew his ex too. We were all once a part of a group of friends who used to go on outings. It's been a year since he last broke up and for me it was more than a year since my last real relationship ended, so he thought it was better that he spoke to me about this now.

I've posted our synastry and composite. I'm the red on the inside.

What are your thoughts, astrologically speaking, regarding me and this taurus?

It looks pretty meaningful, deep and karmic, with composite Saturn-Uranus squaring the NN in the 4th house; 8H sun square Pluto; and 8H moon conjunct Vertex.

Pluto conjunct Venus synastry.

So Plutonian! But then the composite Venus at the top of the chart forms a lovely earth grand trine with Jupiter and Neptune. Sun trine Union-Juno in the 4th house (I look to the 4th house for indications that people might end up living together; 4H NN shows potential for that, in my amateur opinion.)

It looks like there is potential for a lot of affection and also obsession/intensity. The question is, do you feel that you click with him strong enough, to make all the stress of the relationship worth enduring? Because it looks like there WILL be stress. But if you genuinely get along, the stress will only bring you closer together, I suspect.

Hope others answer!

Thank you Faith for your insight!

I believe him and I would be able to endure. I was very honest with him in that I, at the moment, am focusing a bit more on bettering myself. It's not that I am not interested, I don't think I am at the stage right now to be a good GF to anybody. I must first be able to take care of myself.

On top of that, I was in a very heart-wrenching LDR with somebody for 8 yrs and I was for sure going to marry this person. We went through a lot of hardships, beginning with the fact that he lived in another country.

The same is with this friend ever since I moved back home. He will, again, be in another country. That is the one huge question that I cannot answer right now and quite frankly, am afraid of the possibility of another LDR failure.

Saturn-Uranus in the first house in Sag, squaring the nodes, seems to represent the issue.

It's hard to see how that will ultimately be resolved.

I have seen planets squaring the nodes and seeming to prevent progress, but it's a different story when the NN is in the 4th house. I think that strengthens the desire to overcome obstacles to be together. 'Just cannot tell whether it will succeed or not.

Again, hope others take a look.

hiStarry

the grand trine of mercury/Jupiter/Uranus tends toward excellent friendships. venus is trine to Jupiter which shows very good spirit between you. this shows a affection but not always a romantic affection.
the moon/vertex conjunction is opposed to eros which increses the attraction between you and shows you generally make each other feel happy.

the mars/venus midpoint is square to destiny and to the sun/moon midpoint. this is a romantic aspect and it shows that the basis of the relationship is based on a strong emotional and physical attraction. this spontaneous affection is a excellent marker for a serious emotional connection .

juno conjunct union implies a interest in an enduring relationship .

the juno/Jupiter midpoint is square to destiny and opposed to the mars/venus midpoint. and with the juno/Jupiter and union/Jupiter midpoints also opposed to the venus/mars midpoint, a growing indication is that this has the potential to be committed relationship or marriage.

opposing impulse include sun square to pluto.this is a very difficult aspectt as it usually shows there are selfish feeling, unspoken, involved in the emotional connection. this square does not usully compromise or make the concessions needed emotionally for a successful ,give and take, relationship.

I would have expected the relationship to have become "serious" in late December when the south node transited the composite venus and trined Jupiter.as I have said this aspect does not necessarily lead to a romantic connection by itself , but here with all the spontaneous affection aspects I would think this venus/Jupiter trine does incline the relationship toward a serious commitment. if my supposition is correct then end of December 2016 should have brought these type of feelings out from both of you.

but the resistant e of the sun/pluto square is very strong as the midpoint is conjunct the south node and square to Saturn.

this is hard to characterize as both the attractive aspects and the repulsive aspects are strong.
but in the long run most times the hard aspects override the aspects of union.

Hi all, thank you so much for your insights.

Synastry-wise, my concern is that his sun isn't really that aspected by my planets.

I've been in relationships before when I didn't have any aspects on my sun and when I didn't care about the person anymore, I had no problems leaving them. I didn't regret it, and I was the one who broke it off.

I don't know if that would apply to his case. Also, his venus in gemini tells me he might like variety...but who knows.

I don't know why I always have some 9th house/10th house situation going on with all the guys I've been with! it's insane. My longest and most loving relationship had a lot of 9th house/10th house action. I usually would look at the charts and feel like it's not really romantic, but it's not true..

As for composite, I was hoping for the sun to receive a bit more nicer aspects but oh well..

Yes, Todd, you are right. Actually, the guy was the one who developed feelings and kept telling me that he had feelings for me back in December, and yes, when he told me I tried to rationalize for it for a while. We never really took off until this month.

What else do you see in terms of predicting future events?

Your Venus conjunct his Chiron is considered a "marriage aspect" according to Magi astrology. Your Pluto conjunct his Venus could suggest you as Pluto obsessing over him or vis versa, but definitely obsessive feelings of love. Your IC conjunct his DC shows domestic bliss. Angles touching in synastry between charts is really good. I also like your Angel conjunct his Jupiter because it could show you making him feel extremely blessed in your presence.
