It's all about power. Their own. One another's. They essentially see one another as either great challenges or great assets, this might alternate. They see one another as augmenting their own personal resources and boosting their own egos/life force/sense of vitality and power. They are both heavily referencing and drawing on their personal resources and ability to hold sway in the world in this relationship. Especially Donald, as her Pluto falls on his Sun/Moon midpoint, is attracted to Melania because of something to do with raw power, transformation, resources.. that's what he taps into with her..

Double whammy hard Moon-Mercury aspects as well, eh... nothing else to complement or soften the situation with those Moons... so there's a basic emotional-mental incompatibility which features prominently. Over the years they'll have developed coping mechanisms but it's unlikely these two really understand one another or have a very deep emotional connection. Intimacy would be strained through the other dynamics mentioned, and not felt on the lunar, somatic level so much. They will be very much driven in their feelings by the thoughts and words of one another, and that will require a great deal of adjustment and take up a lot of emotional energy just understanding one another. This distance makes a lot of sense given the pictures I've seen of them and what little I know.

Her Moon square his Neptune and her own Uranus.. a sense of the perfect love, undertaken impulsively, a sweeping-off-the-feet... an emotional fantasy on her part and his, which alternately overwrites (with fairy dust) and highlights (with a sense of cold hard reality) the actual conditions of the relationship, which are rather stark and intense overall, with some mitigating factors in the realm of mutual enjoyment and pleasure (Venus aspects, which I'll get to...).

His Mars square her Venus-Neptune opposition... he might take advantage of her dreamy projections. That's a troublesome configuration at the best of times... a Mars-Neptune square on its own I mean, the Mars-Venus square can be good for passion so long as it isn't predatory. But along with the double whammy Sun-Pluto square thus indicates a pretty high liklihood that he is not altogether honest in his actions and takes advantage of her natural softness/doe eyes and difficulty with asserting herself in relationships. It could be a very strong configuration indicating occult activity they engage in, Venus-Neptune square Mars. There are a lot of potential outcomes of this one.

Her Neptune trine his Venus-Saturn though means that she has an easy time enjoying the soft dreamy loving version of him, sees him possibly as caring and responsible, devoted and amorous. Her Venus in Taurus also favorably aspects his Venus in Cancer with a sextile meaning they can have similar tastes and probably get rather decadent together; Taurus and Cancer Venus together know how to live "the good life". They'll egg each other on in terms of gaining material comforts and cushy surroundings and make themselves a very very comfortable nest..

A nest for all that smoldering passion and the really intense ego play/power games they almost certainly engage in as the basic fuel for their relationship. Sun aspects are very important and the double whammy Sun Pluto square indicates deep forces at work on/within the relationship. It is possible that neither feels totally in control here, but with the strong Mars of DT, we have a hint as to who probably exerts more tangible force.

Melania makes him feel like all is right with his inner and outer world, with Neptune on his IC he can indulge in fantasies regarding his real inner life and have a sense of being truly unconditionally loved; with her Venus on his Midheaven he knows he looks good and that her femininity complements him.

It looks like she probably lavishly flatters him, (which is necessary for him), with her Jupiter square his Venus/Saturn and Mercury also sextile that point... and again she makes him feel powerful with her Pluto sextile his Venus/Saturn. To him she is a catch, a bombshell. But we knew that right?

His Mars square her Mercury is another aspect indicating the liklihood of domination, when he is being masculine and forthright he probably dominates conversation. But the configuration with Venus-Saturn and her Mercury-Venus means he also smooths it over. He also probably respects her intelligence and practical opinion to a considerable extent with her Saturn sextile his Mercury. He figures she has a good head on her shoulders.
