Hi,

I have a Pluto Venus DW with a coworker.

His Pluto conjuncts my Venus at 3'57
My Pluto inconjuncts his Venus 1'22.

Which Pluto is having a stronger effect on the other's Venus?

Would the orb matter more or would the Conjunct be stronger than Inconjunct, even if the Inconjunct is closer?

Quindecile

Ask me how I know.

No... sorry... in all seriousness, the question of the 'strength' of an aspect is a pernicious one... once we get involved in considering whether one thing is comparable to another, and how, it is important that we are distinguishing their differences and calling attention to their actual qualities, rather than attempting to measure them on a scale of importance.

In this case, it's very interesting because the influence ofa quincunx is likely to be felt very 'strongly' but in a different manner than the conjunction. It's still very powerful but it takes a totally different form. With the conjunction you're both very aware of the intensity between you. With double whammies it goes both ways but for sure his Pluto is going to be working on your Venus very prominently... i guess it's ok to say "more strongly," but as for the quincunx, you may be somehow unaware of the power you exert over him, or the level of control you maintain... Pluto is already an unconscious force--sometimes we forget when we're discussing astrology how very deep the influence of the outer planets can be, and how Pluto is essentially operating from very deep levels of our being... and you may both have difficulty in understanding how to process the strength of your feelings for one another as a result of the quincunx. You have different approaches to intensity, to love, to depth--as well as profoundly similar ways. The quality of those approaches is in the signs which are quincunx, and the sign in which the conjunction takes place.

So it's a powerful double whammy, existing within one relationship...

My Pluto is quincunx my person's Ascendant and their Pluto is conjunct my Ascendant and thinking about this has given me some good insight personally.

Tricky dynamics to say the least. And it's my Pluto quindecile his Venus. His Pluto is 11 degrees past my Venus, same sign, I guess there might be something to that. My Draco Venus is more tightly conjunct his Pluto. Ugh whatever.

I would really caution anybody who happens to be reading to think twice before judging anybody for talking about their relationships on this forum in whatever way they need to to gain clarity.

There is healing and refuge in discussing the dynamics of a relationship and using astrology to understand them. That's it. It's simple. Harsh judgment has no place in a therapeutic context, especially when it comes to condemning the means people have for coping. I am disturbed by some of the threads here which are putting people down for seeking help.

Astrology is a part of it for some people--like me. It's not everything but it helps to get distance and live another day.

I just have to say that somewhere, I guess it's here.

Thanks for the replies so far, I appreciate them. <3

I agree with you Yungang (discuss away!) People are drawn to astrology for very different and personal reasons. I use it to make sense of my feelings towards a person (anger, love, intrigue, etc) and to also understand the other person more. This forum has really helped me learn astrology, have an outlet for my NEED to learn it, and to navigate my life's issues and curiosities.

I don't know why people condemn others on here, it's made me cringe, as I feel this is my safe place. No need, and well...isn't it in a way bad karma? Why hurt someone who you don't even know. Just let it be, and try to help people.

As for the Pluto/Venus working here, if you want to read our synastry, I posted it here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/006512.html

Would love to hear your insights!

Is hard to go about not triggering karma. Relationships exist and play out based on our inner dynamics and issues whether online or offline.

Here's a nice article to read about relationships which I have found useful today. It came up in my lFacebook memories and so I re share it thinking how beautiful it is i can leave myself time capsule messages and read them a year later.

I would recommend too... and should take my own advice but it gets me thinking again about getting together astrology journals which are mostly reflections and creative processing (which i do anyway) and noting which transits correspond with what, as well as activations of the solar return chart by the transiting Sun and other planets.... also solar arc progressions etc if you're into it... but basically just starting to notice how the Sun and Moon in their motions affect you and going from there is amazing. It doesn't have to be complicated but sometimes it is!

It will give you a lot of power to navigate when you're intimate with the waters.

Will look at that chart now--

Wow, that article was beautiful! THANK YOU, it was synchronicity you put that up as I have been having issues with work relationships, well relationships in general.

I don't do well with people who don't to try to balance out relationship, I just usually walk away due to the pain of it all and because I know whether it's my pride or not knowing how to fix issues.

I'm best in a very deep one-on-one romantic relationship, but everyday relationships...if it goes sour, I have no idea how to really be the one to fix it. I think I need the other person to help lead us to a better place and show me over and over they are not trying to hurt me.
