Curious to hear your thoughts on this composite.... I think his time of birth is right but can't be certain.
Venus retrograde is getting to me today because I've spent the last few hours thinking about this man from my past.
I was utterly obsessed for a short period of time but freaked out and kind of tested his perseverance with the connection by cutting contact, I was overwhelmed and not in the right headspace for it to unfold naturally.
He got together with someone else at that time and has been with them ever since.
Is there anything that might indicate a reconciliation in the future?
Is the lack of strong venus contacts indicative of a relationship that won't develop romantically?

The question you ask is difficult to answer through the composite chart. The composite chart simply represents the immaterial combined entity of two people. Whether or not those two people are in a certain type or relationship or will change the status of their relationship is indicated by transits and progressions which are the wheels on which we make our passage through time.

Retrograde Venus passed backwards over this composite Mars a few days prior. Since this planet squares composite Mercury with the closest orb, we can see why this transit may have sparked interest (Mars) in getting an answer (mercury) in regards to this past relationship (Venus Rx).

Because of the strong favor towards Mars and Saturn in this composite over Jupiter and Venus, without significant contacts between Venus and Jupiter in synastry we are looking at a relationship which feels rather disproportionately heavy and aggressive for its effect on the people involved. In these cases, people often get overly attached, not because of some inherent emotional needs, but because the inherent course of action in the relationship balances the need for aggression, impetus, or assertiveness, and restriction, hesitation, or responsibility. You know how your headphones always tie themselves into seemingly impossible knots after 30 seconds in your pocket and the time you spend untangling them seems to be three times as long? Some relationships can be like that as well, and this can result in some emotional futility to connections that simply do not produce enough positive energy to make the effort worth it. This should be a spectrum where you, as a participant, have some innate feeling on where you stand.

As well, Venus and Scorpio are placed in signs ruled or co-ruled by Mars. This puts further emphasis on Mars as the prognosticator of this relationship. Not only does this corroborate my theory on your recent Venus Rx transit over that planet, that would clue me to look for current transits of the planet Mars since it has extra emphasis within this relationship.

In the past few days, we can see that transiting Mars in Taurus completes the trine between composite Sun and Moon. Since your composite is very Mars-oriented this also lends me some indication that this composite, and therefore this person, again could be very attractive right now.

Now, will you reconcile? Some of that depends on transits for the time when the breakup happened. Breakups (or attractions, for that matter) that happen during significant Saturn transits to one's natal, tend to take longer to shake off. On the other hand, breakups and get togethers during significant Jupiter transits can possibly be short term when the synastry cannot survive without the luck-drawing energies of Jupiter amplifying certain aspects of the chart temporarily. There are other possible delineations but the time of getting together, and breaking up, would be something you would have to remember to be able to draw transits for that date.

If he is in a relationship in which he is happy, it also must be considered by law of common sense that the chance for immediate reconciliation would drop considerably.

What you're saying makes perfect sense.

It did feel overly burdensome in some ways, and I feel I was overly attached emotionally in comparison to how long I had known him. Of course I am not looking to reconcile anything now while he is happy and in a relationship, I suppose I was just wondering if the composite could shed more light on whether this was to be an important relationship or just the brief encounter that it was.

I would be able to find the chart for the day we met but not too sure exactly when things ended.

I hope this is correct, creating a natal chart for the exact time and date we met?
