They say Venus/Uranus in synastry (especially the hard aspects) can lend itself to being that "bolt of lightning" feeling when you meet someone and rush in, but then later realize it wasn't what you thought and abruptly end it (hence being a fling).

I can see this being true in my own experience, but it CAN also be seen in lasting relationships, it just acts as that "hot/cold" feeling and never feels 100% "settled" which some find exciting. It has be balanced by other aspects that make the overall relationship worthwhile.

from experience:

composite sun in 8th (found more often in affairs)

composite uranus in 7th/4th
