I've been researching for a while how the Asc and Dsc rulers play out in synastry. Here's a question to the married folks here and those who have long term relationships (but especially married people):1. Does your Asc ruler conjunct your partner's Dsc ruler or vice versa? 2. Does your Asc ruler conjunct your partner's Dsc or vice versa? 3. Women: does your Asc ruler conjunct your partner's Moon or Venus? Men:does your Asc ruler conjunct your partner's Sun or Mars? 4. Women:does your Sun, Moon or Venus conjunct your partner's Dsc ruler? Men: does your Sun or Mars conjunct your partner's Dsc ruler? IP: Logged |

No. (I'm male) Your model is too simple. Here's what I see in our synastry overlay. Her Taurus Vesta-ASC conj my NN. Her 8H Sag Sun-Venus in my 4H helps complete a Grand Sextile. Her 5H Pluto conj my Leo Mars rising. Her Libra Moon conj my POF trine my Gemini Moon opp my Aries Sun. Her Libra Vertex conj my Neptune. Her Scorpio Juno-Amore conj my IC-SN. My Aries Sun-Eros conj her Cupid. IP: Logged |

@comdoc Your Mars conjuncts her Dsc ruler Pluto. This is the option I forgot to mention,I'll edit my initial post.I'm really not into asteroids,so please forgive me.I don't pay attention to them at all when it comes to synastry. I believe synastry can be very well analyzed with the ten bodies alone. And I know it's a rather simplistic model but I want to see how often these aspects occur. What's your Ascendant,Leo?

@Sylven Thank you for your input. You have your Sun AND Asc ruler near his Dsc ruler, that's awesome. Was it love at first sight on his part?I really believe that you'll find at least one of these options in a long term relationship. I would even go as far as to say that people never get married without one of these aspects. I'd love to see more people share the ruler aspects mentioned above. It could also be a great tool for chart rectification.

My husband and I have been married for 22+ years and none of these apply in my case (unless you consider the co-ruler). This is what we do have: My Sun (DSC ruler) is conjunct his IC His Moon (intercepted co-ruler of his DSC) is widely conjunct (5 degrees) my ASC His Mars (ruler of his IC) is conjunct my MC/NN

I looked in this thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/006722.html ikindalikecookies has her DSC RULER Mercury in Aries and her partner's Sun is conjunct her Mercury. Her ASC RULER Jupiter is not conjunct his Dsc or Dsc ruler but it's conjunct his Asc and opposite his Dsc ruler Moon. BUT her Moon is in the same sign as his Dsc and Dsc ruler (Cancer). Lovely!Really good synastry!

@HelixID: I just saw your question.Yes, my ASC is Leo with Mars rising: in mutual reception with 9H Aries Sun. Her ASC ruler 8H Venus in Sag conj her 8H Sag Sun (both in my 4H of Home and Family). quote: Originally posted by HelixID: @comdoc Your Mars conjuncts her Dsc ruler Pluto.
