We have a lot of squares, especially Sun Square Sun, Merc Square Merc, and Saturn Squares... So why don't we argue? Sooo many squares but all we do is laugh, attracted to his sensitivity, and respect him immensely.

I'm the Red and don't know Blues birth time.

I suck at trying to read charts and prefer the aspects written out vs trying to determine the lines and what not. You may want to look at your charts individually and see how you both handle difficult energy. You both may have a nasty synastry but you charts may well show two people who handle nasty energy in healthy was and able to or quick to find humor in situations, humanity , life etc. So your able to overcome anything thrown at you although your not ideal for each other your capable of making it that way. Which is sooooo much more meaning to it!!!!!

Colorful butterfly that's a really sweet way of thinking about it!

These are the individual aspects in our charts (partners birth time unknown)

Were you two born months apart- perhaps on the same day?

Your outer planets are conjunct i.e Saturn to Pluto.

Add to that, his Venus is exalted in Pisces and yours is in a powerful placement(domicile) in Libra with Mars in Scorpio(domicile)

I also notice that his Mars in Cancer trines your Sun and conjuncts your Moon.

That Moon-Mars square is in mutual reception-in his case. It is a touchy placement normally. But this mutual reception does help things.

As long as you guys keep on respecting each others differences in approaches and make the most of what you do have in common, this relationship you two have will thrive.

Squares tend to show themselves up when we take "stock" of how much unlike the "other" we really are.

Thanks Aries23Degrees for the response

We were born about 10 months apart

When exalted planets make contact with domicile planets does that make the aspect more powerful?

I wasn't sure if the moon conjunct mars would count because it's such a wide orb

The moon square mars in mutual reception does that mean that because he has it in his own chart that may help things?

In my view, as usual, there is greater clarity in the declinations.

First, your Mercury 17S45 is parallel his Sun at 18S. This aspect is just as important as the square.

And there is a good chance that your Jupiter at 10S00 is contra-parallel his Moon [6N37 - 10N57] if he was born in the second half of the day. Even at noon GMT his Moon could be 8N49, basically contra-parallel your Jupiter <orb=1°11'>. Moon/Jupiter synastry aspects of all kinds are excellent for relationships. However, taking the midday position for him (or an earlier birth), his Moon 8N49 is basically contra-parallel your Venus 7S46, another excellent aspect for relationships.

If you get his birth time, you'll know more on this.
