Dear toddI've been reading your interpretations and your midpoint technique for years, and one question keeps bothering me. I know it doesn't make much sense to single out an aspect in a Composite, but still .... I have a question about grand trines. Say I have a grand trine of Sun, Moon and Pluto, which is probably not so bad? But consequently the Sun/Moon midpoint would be opposite Pluto, which is an aspect that you don't like at all. Does it make any difference to you whether this opposition exists "by itself" or is the result of a grand trine? The same for example with Saturn: I have a Sun, Moon, Saturn trine with a very dear longtime friend of mine - but again, the Sun/Moon midpoint is of course opposite Saturn. Thank you for taking the time. IP: Logged |

that is a good question and one I thought about a lot. focusing on the pluto opposed to the moon/sun midpoint, the overall pattern would make the moon/sun sextile to the moon and suns original position. so you would have a kite pattern. sextiles and trine patterns are very favorable so even though the sun/moon midpoint is opposed to pluto the over all affect would be to integrate the healing power of pluto.now if lets say Saturn were square to pluto at the same time, then the harmonious affects of the kite pattern would be weakened and the darker side of pluto/moon/sun would manifested rahu IP: Logged |

Thank you very much, todd!I have been thinking about the "trine midpoint thing" in general, but in this special case there is actually and unfortunately an exact square from Saturn to the Sun and a quinquncx to Pluto ... By all means, it is an extreme Composite anyway, so that just adds to it. I haven't brought up the courage to show it and ask for opinions, but it features nice things like - a Mars-Moon opposition on the AC-DC axis - a Pluto-Uranus conjuction on the South Node opposite a Jupiter-Chiron conjunction on the North Node squared by a Venus-Psyche opposition (a Grand Cross actually) - Neptun opposite the Vertex I'm getting tired just from thinking about it.
