I've been trying to get some input about this placement. Not having it both ways though just with someone's Sun being in their 2nd house. As the house person did you ever provide for them financially?

No, they provided for ME financially. But perhaps gender roles matter some as even in this day and age there is a still a societal subconscious attachment to traditional gender roles. I'm female (house) and he (Sun) was male.

Some interpretations say that with this placement one person often ends up being used by the other in some way. I must admit that the only real reason I was with him was because of what he could provide financially. That sounds awful, but I tried to make him more than just a paycheck by being emotionally open, warm and fun, but he just... wouldn't respond to any of that. It was like the ONLY thing he wanted to provide in the relationship was money and NOTHING else. He wasn't willing to communicate any kind of warm feelings towards me whatsoever and if I would introduce him to something fun that we could both do, he'd often steal the idea and go do it himself without me. So I figured the only thing he was really good for in my life was for Money since he didn't seem interested in offering much else. I stayed with him basically for the money only until I met someone else.

Anyway that was my perception of the whole thing as the house person. Personally I was ****** he didn't feel our relationship was worth more than what he could literally pay into it.

I have a few friends who are Scorpio who's sun fall in my 2cond house. I have done for them and they have done for me too, great friends etc. It could possibly be since I am a Cancer too and Pisces, Scorpio etc.

I have never dated a Scorpio guy though but guys with Scorpio placements. I usually don't mind the intensity to them, just the stinger part when they are mad/upset about something. Most Scorpio guys I talk to look at me kinda (amazed or shocked) when I pick up on things deeper than what they expected me to get.

Did you mean you were upset because he wasn't emotional towards you?

He and I aren't in a relationship he's the Sun and I'm the house person. I've been helping him out financially I don't think he has money for a place to stay. I just send him money for food and sometimes I make payments on his phone bill so it doesn't get turned off. Honestly I have never helped anyone out before in regards to money at all. I've never been one to just give people money. He's the only person I've never done this for.

I mean that he really wasn't available to me. Like he seemed to feel as though as long as he brought home money, he wouldn't have to actually talk to me about anything. When you're in a couple this means you talk to each other, sometimes about boring things about what happened during the day, It also means that if one of you is upset or needs help with something you can go to your Significant other about it. He never came to me when something was up. I'm usually a positive person but if I felt upset about something he basically told me that he didn't see the point of being with me if I wasn't smiling and happy all the time. Even when my father died and I called to tell him about it he got confused and said, "Why are you telling me this?"

UM... BECAUSE WE'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR 3 YEARS AND I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT YOU KNOW...GIVE A **** ?

Basically he just wanted to pay for a doll that would just smile all the time and that he wouldn't have to actually talk to or engage with emotionally in any way. Took me some time to figure that out, but when I did I was out. Financially though he was always there for me.

I am wondering if there is something in your synastry chart that is doing this vs house placements. Saturn/venus might would do it as Saturn courts venus. Like the type of thing where Saturn would feed venus cat while they were away.

Oh I didn't think on it either, someones Jupiter on another's Sun or Moon would make you want to help that person despite yourself. I have seen that play out in synastry too!

I'm the Saturn person and we do have Venus square Saturn. What about the Moon/Saturn conjunction?

There is no Saturn Venus aspect in our chart. Only Saturn Mars.

However our Suns were squared so maybe that's part of why his sun in my second came out with these negative things.

Saturn/moon from what I read would be binding as an emotional tie. So I am thinking it would make you be there for the other in more of an emotional way vs material way. I think the Saturn/venus is what is doing it for you as Saturn will court venus. I didn't put out financially but I did spend time with a guy several nights just hanging out enjoying his company. Some nights we would just hold each other all night till the morning. I really miss him right now :|

I have Saturn/moon with a girl that is a friend/coworker of mine. I am the Saturn person and she is moon, at first I was very weary of her but once I got to know her, I really like her. Her moon also falls in my 12 which is a really nice tie to have with someone. Funny, I read a book that said it was best to keep it a business relation but I do think your own natal chart makes a huge difference and the synastry. Her moon is also on my NN and I will admit, she does free me out of my Saturn like we can joke , not take things personal etc. This is the only example I have of Saturn/moon , I never dated a guy with this aspect so I am not sure how the friendship thing would differ from the romantic aspect.

Hope this helps!

Ok I didn't know that about the Venus/Saturn aspect. That Saturn is the one who courts Venus. I thought the Saturn person is usually cold towards Venus with the harsh Venus square Saturn aspect.

According to one of my favorite astrologers Jewel Mayberry. House overlays are only an assumption from the house persons view point on how they see the planet owner entering into THERE house. For example, someone with THERE sun in there 2nd house may make the house person see the sun person as someone they feel secure with or see them as someone financially stable to them but this just an assumption! It's not always the case. We just assume they may be able to bring us stability or are stable or very confident people to be around with.

I think it also depends on the synastry aspects as well I've had someone's sun in my 2nd house quincunx my moon and TRUST ME this person did not bring me stability at all in fact they were very selfish. My best friend has her sun in my 2nd house and she has always payed for my food when we go out and is very generous towards me and she has been such a hard worker all her life (she's got sun square moon square Chiron conjunct mars).

I feel this as the case with house overlays it is just something we assume the planet person MAY be able to bring us or how we see them.

Hope this helped.

My partner's (ex??) Sun in my 2nd House.
Yes, when we lived together, we lived on my money. I didn't have much of them too though.
Sometimes I also feel like I am more responsible and parent-like, unwillingly
They have some troubles with work and money, I don't mind helping, but...meh

Are you saying that the two of you lived on your money. But that you didn't have much money? Did your ex have trouble with work and money?

I'm the Sun person and he's not outright giving me money but his family is extremely well connected here. I'm starting a new career path where networking can make or break you so it's a huge advantage to have ins with the right people.

My sun is opposite his sun-Jupiter in 8th and conjunct his Saturn. He's given me stability in so many ways honestly. But it's not all one sided, I want to make his financial dreams come true too. Our composite sun is in Libra 2nd house so there's a strong feeling of let's do it together. But honestly so far he's the only one who's delivered anything tangible and as a Cap that bothers me. He makes me want to give to him (compliments, money, resources, anything really) completely selflessly.

I had no idea this was how it was with Venus/Saturn thanks for your input.
