With time I became more accepted and less freaked and actually appreciated how I was growing in this relationship. He grew too but this cultural issue remained a white elephant taboo and all hell would break loose whenever I d bring up anything that could trigger it.

Like for instance saying the L word - was to him related to marriage and long term committment and it reminded him of his inner crisis - not knowing who he is being conflicted between his family cultural and religious background and his current lifestyle that he lives with me.

I was baring with all that until I got the courage last week to ask him if he think we have any chance of being together on the longterm?

ANd he was unable to answer and that put him in a state of agony because he s very attached to me.

I dunno if I should leave or stay and work on it.

I love him dearly but I am scared I am giving up too much and in denial of obvious red flags.

Our composite sun in twelfth house is also not v promising.
