I've always wondered about the aspects pertaining to my natal chart on the day my father passed away from cancer. I was only 8 at the time, and it was a week before xmas. So needless to say it changed my life. I was just curious if anything jumped out that immediately said "LOSS OF PARENT". Any and all input is greatly appreciated, though never demanded Thanks for reading http://pasteboard.co/GFZrGrN.gif IP: Logged |

I had mostly nice aspects, from what I remember. Except for Uranus conjunct Ceres. First hit, mum went into the hospital. 2nd hit, she died. With something like cancer, there would have been a build-up, surely. I'm so sorry. It's hard enough to lose a parent, but at such a young age. IP: Logged |

Thank you and my condolences to you as well. He didn't suffer long. Maybe a year or so. It was very sudden. There's no history of it in the family. I certainly would be a different man today had he lived. I just wish I could remember things about him. You'd think an 8yr old would, but I really don't. All I remember is that I was very loved and never feared him. IP: Logged |

My condolences. This type of question is usually better for Vedic astrology to answer imo. It's not shy about pinpointing the hardest and least desirable aspects of life. "If the Sun is afflicted and hammed by malefic, indicates severe setback or early death of the father." "If there are malifics in the 4th house with the Sun early death of the father can be indicated" Looking at your Vedic chart it does indeed actually have your sun hemmed by the two malefics- Rahu and Saturn... Which are all in the 4th house of Parent and home. So these vedic principles seem to be working here. I'm not an expert on this stuff so When you're done here I would also suggest trying your question on the Vedic Astrology Board here so that someone with more experience than I can maybe help you. That board tends to be slow in response, but there too are some good people there when they get the chance to answer. IP: Logged |

Thank you for your condolences I knew Saturn had something to do with it. I hate that planet with a passion LOL. I never got into Vedic because it just seemed like another new version of astrology to try and learn, and as I have a very limited scope of western astro, I think Vedic would be a little over my head. I do appreciate you pulling my Vedic chart (that's a first) and your analysis. Thank you! IP: Logged |

It's a heavy subject, it's about Saturn, Sun, IC / MC axis....although that's if it's a 'present' father. An absent father won't be represented by the angles.I saw my father's death coming, I have Moon-Saturn conjunct, ruling my IC and MC. When Pluto came up to square them both I could feel it coming, the fact that Pluto was opposing my Mom's Mars-Sun-Venus conjunction and my Dad's Mercury-Sun conjunct at the time made it obvious. If you study astrology you deal with knowing these things, sometimes before anybody else would. One of the notes with people passing is that you can sometimes notice it more in the charts of those very close to them, than theirs themselves. It's a complex subject but connected families will usually reveal very obvious cross-overs at points of change... Death is a part of life, has to be considered but loss is so tough too. <3 x

I can't say much for you in your place, but I did find out something interesting. Several months ago someone wrote a post somewhere else, and they described their life. I cannot find it for the life of me, but if you're interested, I could look deeper.
They were born the same day, same month and same year as my S/O - only different country. The other guy lost both of his parents, while my SO only lost his dad. The experiences in his life which he wrote about were NEARLY parallel my SO's life experiences, including the specific place and cause of death of their dad, which were practically identical.

I lost my father at 13 yrs old.Natally, Saturn is Rx - this is a signature marker for an absent father, whether physically or emotionally. Hard aspects to Saturn describe the situation. In my case, it opposes Neptune conjunct atropos. He was an alcoholic and had committed suicide. Saturn trines my sun, merc, pluto conjunction as well as my moon, creating a grand trine. His death (and presence while living) had a profound effect on me. Also, my 8th house ruler, Uranus, is conjunct my IC. The aspects will differ for everyone, but a common "red flag" is a Saturn Rx in hard aspect. I've also read that Sun/Uranus can be an indication of a loss of father (though not always by death) IP: Logged |

My father died when I was 15. I also have Saturn Rx square Venus. Also have Pluto in opposition to IC. Read it somewhere that it signifies early death(Pluto) of a parent. IP: Logged |

I will need to check this out. My mother died of cancer when I was 6 years old and my father died of cancer when I was 13 (actually, it was 10 days before I turned 14). I didn't notice anything when I had my vedic chart done but maybe I need to go back and take another look.IP: Logged |

I see this post is a couple months old, but I'll answer anyway. The Transits for 18 December 1987: - Neptune right at the beginning of the 8th house area and opposite natal Moon & Mars. - Cluster of planets in 7th house area (Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Uranus) trine natal Sun in 4th house of home/parentage. - Venus in 8th house area in quincunx to natal Sun. In declinations: - Saturn 22N10 was contra-parallel this Asc [22N45] you show in mid-Gemini. - Uranus 23S34 is also contra-parallel it. - Neptune 22S17 is also contra-parallel it. The Progressions: - prog Uranus semi-sextile prog Pluto (orb 0°04') indicates a period of unsettling events, or occurrences outside one's immediate understanding or control. - prog Mercury 16N35 contra-parallel natal Uranus [16S39] tends to indicate rattling, upsetting news. - prog Sun 2VIR41 in 4th house of endings quindecile <105°> natal/prog Neptune 17SAG45/44 in 7th house of significant others (orbs 04'/05' applying) These can easily be seen in the free pdf data sheet by first setting the orbs at 12% or so. This way the aspectarian is cleared of extraneous non-active aspects so those nearest culmination are more visible. ------------------ The Declinations Guy - Expert birth chart rectification Clickable Rising Signs> ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |
