I've read a lot online about how Venus is more in love with Pluto than Pluto is with Venus. I don't think this is completely true. I feel that yes Venus would be openly devastated over their parting but would move on faster than Pluto, whilst Pluto is probably hiding their pain, reeling over the split indenial.

I also read on another post 'Pluto might feel like Venus is not obsessed enough with them and unless they play games they will lose Venus.'

Why does Pluto play games though? Does Pluto subconsciously think 'I don't want to risk showing Venus the real me incase she doesn't think I'm good enough, I think Venus is glorious and it makes me insecure... maybe if I strip you down and see through you, you will become dependent on me because I see your soul' ?

What effects do you think Pluto-Venus conjunction in Libra (Venus's home) verses Pluto-Venus conjunction in Scorpio (Pluto's home) would have?

I would assume Venus in Scorpio would be enamored by the Pluto person radiating all the traditional plutonian traits they find attractive but what about Venus-Pluto in Libra?

I think it's this about Pluto contacts:
the Pluto person transforms the planet person by way of Plutonic energy
One manifestation of Plutonic energy is subconscious fear, compulsion, obsession. Another is digging deep into the psyche and transforming by facing everything underneath.

Other planets similarly have healthy and unhealthy manifestations

So it depends on where each person is at. For example in a Sun-Pluto contact (which I experience currently, the opposition):
The Sun person can manifest as egotistical, self centered.
The Pluto person sees all of it underneath, and wants to transform that, subconsciously. If the Pluto person is in an insecure place, they will do it via manipulation, out of insecurity.
So it becomes a self-centered person and an insecure person trying to change that person, by using emotional manipulation or whatever.

But if both are acting from a healthier place, it becomes an interaction between a person with a healthy and strong personality (Sun), and a person who wants to transform them in a healthy way, because they're fascinated with the Sun, to make them even stronger and shining brighter . And they do this with good communication and digging deeper into the Sun's psyche.

In Pluto-Venus, which I'm also experiencing currently with a conjunction, the Pluto person sees and wants to transform the Venusian qualities of the other. Now it depends on both people again. A healthy Pluto-Venus will have the Pluto being fascinated with Venus and wanting to strengthen their Venusian qualities by digging deep into their psyche, through healthy communication. The unhealthy pairing will have an insecure Pluto being intimidated by the Venusian qualities and expression of the other, or obsessed with them, or maybe even trying to bring them down, but most of all wanting to control out of insecurity. If the Venus person is unhealthy, they will be insecure, superficial, vain, jealous, etc. More negative Venusian traits than positive, and the Pluto person will want to change this subconsciously.

And then there's the possibility of one being healthy while the other is not, and it doesn't last. Or both can start out unhealthy and transform to higher levels together, a beautiful thing. Or a healthy Pluto can be a huge psychological help to an unhealthy planet person, until they are both acting out of healthy places together.
So there are a lot of possibilities, not even taking into account whether it's a trine, square, etc. And this is why sometimes even the trine is bad, with 2 unhealthy people. It will be comfortable for them to just tear each other apart all the time. While a square can cause enough friction to make changes.

This is just what I've experienced over time

And also.. since not everyone is healthy all the time, the expressions can fluctuate and create a lot of drama, which people either hate because of the roller coaster, or can't get enough of because of all the deep transformations

Mmmm yes, this certainly rings true.

I tend to experience Pluto square my Venus, just because of the generational stuff. Obviously you have to be involved and drawn together on other levels for this aspect to play out but certainly I have seen game playing both ways when insecurity and fear rules the show.

On a deeper level though, the intrinsic understanding and appreciation of one another can be profound and regenerative. I think once you've been close to somebody with an aspect like this, anything less intense seems throwaway and superficial.

Over the years I think the best elements of Venus-Pluto come to the fore. If you work on the fears and develop trust this can really feel like a soulmate bonding.
