Hi Everyone!

I’ve been seeing someone recently, and of course, I wanted to run a composite and synastry chart for us. We have some really good aspects such as Sun trine Saturn and Jupiter trine Venus...but we also have some bad aspects...I’m looking at you Venus square Saturn and Venus square Pluto.

I was hoping that those who are more experienced with synastry and composite charts could tell me if I and this man have enough good aspects to balance out the bad. Or, if this will be an extremely challenging relationship.

I have trouble posting pictures here, so here are the written aspects. The first planet is me.

Happy new year.

It's much easier to decipher the energy if you post the actual charts. There's so much more to see, especially house overlays if the birth times are accurate. I am assuming you are still seeing each other since the original post was from Oct?

Hi @llewsacm! Do you know where the instructions are for picture posting? I tried a while back and wasn’t successful, but would be willing to try again!

We are still talking...I think. We have recently come to a push pull in our dynamic. That in combination with the holidays and families being in town has caused a downturn in the frequency we have seen each other - a week.

Yeah just go to Astro and pull up the charts. Then save as a photo and then tinypic to upload. Choose message board option and then paste that link!

Good! These are still hard to read because the house positions are not easily identified. Astro.com is better...it shows the degrees where each planet is located along with the acs/DSC and mc/ic axis.

For example, I cannot see which planets are falling in your 4th house. They are not defined.

Yes much better! First couple things that stand out: opposing moon phases. I need to credit Mir on this one, she presented this is a few threads a while ago, speaking of attraction based on different phases at birth. I've seen this with my own interpersonal relationships. Also the Mars Pluto overlay to their 8th. Really nice placement imo for Pluto and mars. And the Mars overlay on the other side in the 5th adds a playful vibe. The ASC/DSC axis is swapped, meaning there is a natural affinity between the two of you. A balance.

@llewsacm thanks so much for the feedback!!! I know the hard aspects we share can be challenging, but I am hoping that since there are some good aspects as well, we can work on it with patience and maturity.

Can you tell me more about the chart rulers? I’ve not heard of that before, and it sounds interesting!

Well, I just noticed that you have the time of birth set for noon for the male. I am assuming this is a guess and not the actual time? That would put a big question mark in place for what I wrote, at least for where your planets fall, given also that your birth time is correct?

Chart rulers are based on the rising sign, which would be virgo-mercury and Pisces-neptune for the male. You see how they are connected with one another. If the rising signs are correct, this would be a affinity between the two charts. I would suggest getting an accurate birth time for both Chris to get more detail and confirm house overlay placements.

You may also want to post the composite chart for Todd. You don't necessarily need accurate birth times, but for the composite the ASC/DSC mc/ic axis would be off.
