Is this a good aspect to have in synasty? The degree is wide though. It's 8 degrees but his Venus is in Gemini and my Mars is in Gemini he's the Venus person. IP: Logged |

It depends on you. I had it exact in synastry twice, my Venus with their Mars. The first time was a man I dated for six months and the chemistry was amazing. Unfortunately, it was all sexual. We ended the relationship bcs it was too explosive. The arguments got intense and I walked. The second time never made it to dating. We made plans to go out, and he started saying things to me that were so inappropriate and over the line! I backed out of that one quickly. I have the opposition with someone and the attraction is unreal. Unfortunately the inability to appease the sexual nature of the relationship leads to frustration and me feeling very irritated with him. Other signs may handle it better, my Venus is in Virgo. No, not sexual but that brings up a good point!I have trines with my favorite people. My oldest daughter's venus trines my mars, my youngest daughter's mars trines my mars, and they have a DW venus mars connection with each other. My sister and I have a Mars Venus trine, and my grandmother and I had one too. All my favorite people have this connection with me in some way. I don't know if you would feel the 8 degree mars venus. I think it would depend on what mars and venus represent in each of your charts, and if there were midpoints or other aspects resonating and reinforcing this. IP: Logged |

So why do people always say Venus/Mars are sexual aspects? IP: Logged |

I love this in synastry - in relationships but as Mereiposa says, also in close relationships generally. It a relationship it's guaranteed chemistry (in my experience) but only if you get to the point where you are both attracted to one another, if that makes sense. For instance if you like fun loving, outgoing partners but the person with Mars conjunct your Venus is the opposite you may never notice the chemistry. Other levels of compatibility do need to be present for this to be fully experienced I think. Again, someone could have all that you find attractive, plus the Mars-Venus chemistry, but without an emotional and intellectual connection the relationship will dwindle when the passion does. I'm always happy to see it though, it adds a lovely spark between two people. I think an 8 degree orb would have the potential for some vibrational Venus-Mars affinity and again, I second Mereiposa in that midpoints and aspects to areas between wide orb conjunctions do tend to 'light it up' whether temporarily via transit, or more consistently with natal planets. :-) ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ New horoscopes just posted for January to March 2018!!! What if it’s a woman’s Mars in aspect to a man’s Venus? I have this with a girl I REALLY like, conjunction at 1.5 degrees. I definitely find her sexually attractive. But I’ve heard some people say if it’s a woman’s Mars, the aspect isn’t as powerful. I have no clue if that’s true or not. IP: Logged |

I have the opposition my Mars in Leo is kind of aggressive for his Venus in Aqua... He feels I'm way to much sometimes and I am lol. Sexually is a nice aspect, I don't feel is purely sexual but is nice. IP: Logged |

The girl I like is also Mars in Leo! Let me ask you, are you rather aggressive...sexually? Like, when you are turned on, so you sort of “go for it” so to speak and get physical? Basically, are you rather BOLD in your behavior in that regard? Her Mars in Leo conjunct my Venus in Leo. IP: Logged |

I had this one too! I was Mars trining his Venus. It made me the pursuer. We also had his Mars conjunct my ASC though, so once I was nearby he would pursue. But I was the initiator for everything. It was too much for me but it might work well for other Venus and Mars signs. IP: Logged |

ChildofVenus, have you tried the harmonic charts on you two? They might define better the inner magic. Venus and Mars are natural lovers. That alone should show some chemistry must be present. 8 isn't too wide. I've read a few astrologers state in synastry as much as 10 is ok. IP: Logged |

They are used by Hindu if I am correct in my learning. They are the inner layers (dimensions) within our charts. Similar to persona, where you can examine a particular point/planet, to see the behaviour, Harmonics lay out the houses within a house. They are all given a #, with each one they shine revelations within the chart that isn't 'ASC obvious with the other charts. Most people use the 5th for creative reasons. It can be in fun, love etc too. Also 7th, 8th might be useful. In the astrodienst drop down, it's a circular chart, the fourth to the bottom option I think. The date you see will need to be changed to the number harmonic you wish to study. So type a 5 if you want 5th Harmonic. IP: Logged |

He says as a joke that all I want is sex lol. Yes totally, initially he said he liked that in girls but I think I'm too much lol. The truth is that only happens with him, that's not my natural behavior sexually, I'm rather shy so I do believe that this is the aspect doing it for me, I like that I can be bold about it with him and feel free sexually, I enjoy it a lot with him so I'm honest about it maybe too much for his Aqua Venus. Sun Mercury and Venus in Cancer, Mars in Leo, Moon in Pisces, I'm all water, over the top emotions. We have a double whammy Sun square Moon, his Aqua Venus also squares my Pluto. My mars also squares his Jupiter. IP: Logged |

It all depends on the attachment to traditional male/female roles. Effectively Mars is drawn to the beauty and grace of Venus and Venus the assertive decisiveness of Mars. Now a very heterosexual man may not be so drawn to a woman who comes across who knows what she wants and conveys it assertively. To 'guess' how this works you'll need to look at the condition of Mars and Venus in both charts and obviously the whole chart too. I know a guy who has Venus conjunct my Mars and I'm not in the least bit attracted to him, but I enjoy his company immensely (he did try and make our friendship into something more a few times, so I guess he is comfortable with Mars calling the shots on his Venus). Deep down you can kind of tell when somebody is interested though, but if you're the Mars and the Venus is into you, you may find that you're called upon to make the first move. If you're the Venus then if you feel comfortable to be assertive, great. Perhaps you have other areas of your chart which are very masculine and this Venus to her Mars softens them. It's impossible to say without the bigger picture, but perhaps ask her out? Test the waters a bit...? ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ New horoscopes just posted for January to March 2018!!! IP: Logged |

Waxlobster! Thank you- the way you phrased that just gave me a lightbulb moment. I have a strong Mars, which now I understand how this surfaces in my personality. I'm a strong woman and often go after what I want! Ha! Ironically, I feel bored and irritated after a while if I am doing all the pursuing. I have no qualms making the first move, and often do. But at some point I want the traditional roles in play. Ok sorry to derail but I wanted to thank you bcs you just helped me understand this aspect in a chart better. Back to the matter at hand!
