Do you need to have several Saturn aspects in synasty and composite for a friendship to last? I have Saturn sextile Sun and Mars square Saturn in synastry. And Saturn conjunct North Node and and Saturn opposite Mars in composite with someone. I know it's important to have Saturn aspects for relationships to last whether it be romantic or friendships.IP: Logged |

Agree that you need Saturn to last but I don’t have that many strong Saturn contacts (in synasty) with people I have been friends with for almost 30 years. I think in my case those friendships don’t feel as close and whoever has the strongest Saturn contact makes the most effort with keeping in contact. It’s definitely been the case with a friend who initiated all the contact in the first 6 years of our friendship. In synastry her Saturn conjuncts my Sun at zero degrees and trines my moon at 3 degrees whereas I have no Saturn aspects to her but we consider each other as besties now. We have a lot of planets on angle contacts. In composite we have Saturn sextile Mercury and Uranus and square Neptune, Vertex and AC. I have noticed that I have some difficult aspects with friends that I wouldn’t want with romantic partners but it seems to work out as the kind of honesty that friends can take in a friendship because we know we have each other’s back (and friends don’t live together so it’s only in small doses anyway). Saturn in aspect to North node sounds very good. IP: Logged |

I think what you need are 2 people who like each other and care equally plus some luck. Astrology can't prevent or guarantee longetivity. ------------------ Astrology is descriptive, not causative. IP: Logged |

No.You'll need Venus and moon. Venus will make being together pleasurable. Moon will make you feel good. IP: Logged |

"whoever has the strongest Saturn contact makes the most effort with keeping in contact." 100% agree with this.

Yes I thought this would be the case but how can I tell which one of us has the stronger Saturn contact? Their Saturn aspects to my planets Saturn sextile Moon Saturn parallel Moon Saturn trine Mercury Saturn opposite Mars (this also in composite) Saturn conjunct Saturn Saturn conjunct Uranus Saturn sesquiquadrate Sun Saturn opposite Chiron (this is in composite as well) My Saturn aspects to their planets Saturn opposite Sun Saturn conjunct Uranus Saturn trine Jupiter Saturn semisquare Pluto Saturn opposite Chiron Saturn conjunct Saturn IP: Logged |

I would look for the tightest aspects and count the ones that aspect the personal planets. At a guess from the list above I might think their Saturn aspecting your planets means they may be slightly more invested in keeping the contact together IP: Logged |
