I think moon in your parner 4th house is good although I don't know the complete details of what this will bring between them

venus in soft aspect to their venus

And venus in their 1st house

*What are your favorite 3 synastry aspects?*

And how did the aspects impact your relationships or a couple you know

Nice question

My favourites are:

Moon conjunct Moon - for the emotional understanding and the bond it creates

Mars conjunct Venus - for the attraction

Jupiter conjunct either Venus or the Moon - for the jovial feeling it brings into a relationship

Womans Venus conj Mans Mars. ooh lala.

Womans Venus in the sign that is the Mans rising sign. another instant attraction.

Womans Sun conj Mans Moon. this is something that is WICKED! with the reversal on the traditional sun being male influence and moon female, this gives the woman a lot more respect and power in the relationship. if the mans sun conj. her mars however the power can be more balanced. Ive noticed this in the two Gemini moon men Ive been with they have both been very very receptive and understanding more than the other exes. They are supposed to be flighty and flirtatious but were loyal and clingy with me (Gemini Sun/merc/mars).

to each their best

I think Moon conj Moon will work only if they do not make stressful aspects in both charts. Otherwise...*runs scared*

I find that any "mutual reception" ( I think that's the name) aspects are really nice in synastry. As in- woman's venus conjunct man's mars and man's venus conjunct woman's mars. I guess I'm just drawn to the symmetry of that situation.

Very difficult hmmm

  • Sun conj NN
I love and will always love Cancers. We just click…well ok, I only know one guy…yet he’s my #1 *starts singing Goldfrapp*

  • Moon conj Venus *sighs* normally I think Aries Moon are psychos ( no offence of course ) but I dunno, I can’t help but luv ‘em ;-D their boldness is “unique”

  • Sun conj Moon - not very original but hey…I can’t help but love it it brings a certain feeling of safety

I share this aspect with my new Taurus beau. My sun and Venus conjunct his Sag moon. His Sun forms a sextile to my Mars and also trines my mercury. (My sun trines his merc in Aries).

We also have the moon trine moon aspect (mine being in Aries).

I have shared the Rising sign conjunct Moon and also the Sun conjunct the males Mars (while my venus also conjuncted his Mars).

What I really like about the new guy is that both of our Mercury's fall into the other's 7th house. Our conversations seem to flow and we both remarked on how even though we have only dated for 2 months, there hasn't been that hint of pretention that usually comes about when two people are new and trying to impress each other.

We do share some stressful aspects - his Saturn in Gemini opposes my Sun / Venus while my Saturn conjuncts his Sun / Venus. Yet, there needs to be some friction or else the relationship becomes too complacent.

I will say this though... sexually - it is easy going, not intense or obsessive. That is something I haven't had in a very long time. My ex and I shared a very strong Pluto (his) opposed Moon aspect - while my Pluto (virgo) conjunct his Moon.

My pluto also fell into his 5th house (while both of our moons fell into the other's 12th house). That can all be scary obsessive. Intensely sexual... almost necessary.. but still not one of those intensely FULFULLING type of unions.

Sun conj Moon is bitter sweet for me *sigh*

If a Cap Sun conjuncts my Moon, they'd also square my Sun. If an Aries mooner conjuncts my Sun they'd also square my Moon.

I'd like to experience that conjunction without the square. I guess it'd be nice.

Mars Trine Jupiter is sooo positive for two water signs. I love the energy that comes from it because it shows that things don't always have to be so heavy.

-venus conjunct north node, I've seen that one from the start

sun trine moon (my sun)-I feel comfortable being myself around him.

Hi Lauren,

Keep in mind that even if you find someone with a Cap Moon and it squares your Sun.. that is an energy that is familiar to you.

When I meet someone who's Pluto squares my Sun / Venus, it doesn't affect me on a major level. Mainly because I too have that aspect in my chart and Pluto is prominent with me anyway.

You will know, intuitively, what to expect since you deal with that emotional / personal aspect anyway

yes pidaua, excellent comment. with stressful venus and pluto aspects, i can deal with another person having similar aspects in their chart, or the synastry or composite being like that also. i usually find that the people im most incompatible with, its due to their mercury (maybe that Gemini stellium elevates its importance), mars (i have a very venusian chart), or (obviously), Sun.

Ahhh... you bring up a great point. I have a Virgo rising conjuncting Pluto in my first house (within 2 degrees). Mercury is very important to me.. because of this, I too find that if someone has very harsh planets sending tense aspects to my Mercury or if their own Mercury is in a difficult aspect to my Sun / Venus - well, it is hard to carry on a conversation.

My Ex had Mercury in Gemini... we just did not GET each other. It was like we were speaking two different languages and would end up getting frustrated to the point where we would end up in a blow up.

That is such a great point.. I never put that together until now.

Thanks

Pidaua, I'm glad you've found someone who seems to really GET you. And the sun/moon conjunction - you'll see how sweet it is.

Sun conjunct moon is very nice, and especially compelling if either one is located in a cardinal house in the natal chart, like 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th. Esp. 1st or 7th. If you are the sun person, you will feel so accepted and understood by the moon person, it feels like unconditional love, which you never had before, except maybe from your mom if you were lucky. If you are the moon person, you feel so complete and at home with the sun person. Like they embody everything you wish you could be on a daily level, but you can't because to reveal that side would open you up too much. You live vicariously through your sun connection, and envy that style, and long for it for yourself. But you can only reach it in very safe conditions. Yet they easily inspire you to be that way with them, and it feels like such a comfortable relief. This is sooo nice for both parties. Really

Venus trine or conjunct moon feels simply lovely - especially if it's reciprical.

Mars square Mars between people of the opposite sex (or whatever the case may be) can actually equate to a highly sexual relationship, and is a much welcome "tense" aspect if most other aspects are soft and sweet between you. It bestows hot sex for sure.

Jupiter conjuncting any of the personal planets brings humor and good will to the relationship - makes it fun and inspiring.

Venus conjunct south node indicates eternal love, the romantic kind.

Those are my faves. And I have all them with my Virgo. *Happy happy joy joy*

...decided to bump this to see what everyone else thought.

I can't really pick 3, but here are some of my top favorites in synastry:

- Sun in flowing aspect to moon (sextile, trine, or conjunction)

- Moon conjunct, sextile, or trine jupiter (especially when it's both ways)

- Venus conjunct ascendant

- Moon conjunct ascendant (makes you feel very comfortable with the person)

- Personal planets in the other's 1st, 4th, 7th, and 8th houses.

I don't know... it's so hard to separate them out if you're truly going based on experience in relationships. If you are basing it on the descriptions given for the aspect, that's a little easier to pick a few tops ones. But I'll try to draw from experience, too.

I must say I like the venus-mars conjunct, and the double whammy especially. It really is this "cosmic glue" that keeps bringing us together to work on the other issues- the squares, etc. And it's interesting to analyse or see how or when he's approaching me in the Capricorn mars way, which I like and prefer, and then when he's being all Pisces and venusian- yuck, don't like that for getting things started and moving.

The moon-moon conjunction is nice, comfortable, soothing; and I think I really like the moon-neptune conjunction also for that mental connection which seems telepathic.

And perhaps venus-asc. trine (or flowing aspect or conjunct)- he's the venus and he does seem to openly appreciate my style, taste, charm.

Could someone tell me what does Venus conjunct Ascendant indicate? I've read in several topics that it's a very good thing to have in a synastry chart, but I'd like to find out what exactly does it do?

Hey Ana.. here are some descriptions on it.. it is a wonderful aspect, I have this with my boyfriend (I'm the venus):

"Venus conjunct Ascendant
This is a favorable aspect for romantic relationships and marriages, and has the added benefit of stimulating the creative self-expression of each of you. The Venus person identifies with Ascendant person's self-image and the Ascendant person's feeling of self-worth is likely to be enhanced by interaction with Venus person. You are likely to share tastes in music, art or other forms of entertainment."

"This is a great aspect for romance and physical attraction. They tend to both sit up and take notice of each other. The ascendant individual tends to initiate the first contact and may be the first to notice the Venus individual. The Venus individual is capable of making the ascendant individual feel good about him/herself and loved. Friendship results in other circumstances."

In my opinion the following synastry aspects are the best:

Woman's Moon trine man's Sun
Woman's Venus trine man's Mars
Woman's Jupiter trine man's Jupiter
