This person has been impossible for me to overcome my feelings for, despite having moved out of the country and everything...but this is a composite. In the synastry chart, he completes a yod for me, we both complete a fire grand trine for each other (involving our mutual neptunes, my mars, and his venus) and also a kite extending off of the trine...that plus this composite which has so much going on in terms of geometirc patterns...mystic rectangle, two kites, a seer pattern, a trapezoid, overall i have to say its terribly difficult to pull apart what is causing what in terms of how the feelings go. One major aspect in the synastry that seems to dominate is that his saturn is conjunct my northnode. as i undertand it, this is a classic pattern of deep love unfulfilled, for whatever reason. we're both married now, have known each toehr since we were teens, and have always had an enormous pull toward one another. any intimacy was through the roof (mars opp. neptune in a kite maybe? jupiter opposition venus in the composite? so hard to know what drives it). mostly, it seems like missed signals...we've admitted we were always in love, but too late to be able to enjoy it. we essentially didn't trust that our feelings would be reciprocated...so this is a case of double sided unrequited love...if only because we met too young to know what to do with such intense connective tissue. Still in contact, more than 20 years later...and all of those feelings persist for both of us still. Pretty wild.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Especially if there's something here that shows how to overcome, satisfy, or break the pull!

I have a similar situation with someone (same compelling charts and all) I was involved with a few years ago with a crazy story that began our journey (but your synastry is even better than ours is so I can only imagine!).

All I can tell you is, it will probably never go away. They will hold a piece of you forever. Like us...you too have a Moon/Saturn aspect in your composite which I think adds a level of devotion that is hard to ever shake. No matter what you do...they are never too far from your mind.

In my experience, our connection was not ever meant to be romantic though we did actually date for a few years...we connected on another level. We just...got each other. It's tough to explain. He is THE ONE person in my life I can point to and be like "YUP HIM!" if someone were to ask who has had the biggest impact on me. Definitely a soul connection if such a thing were to exist.

I think you have to step outside of it and see it for what it is. It took me a long time to wrap my head around the fact that this person was not meant to be my romantic partner but that my feelings for him were OK to have. It is no disrespect to my current partner to hold this person in such high regard. I guess in your case, if you are pining for this person in a romantic/sexual way then I can see the complication...the charts are pretty compelling. If not though, then you can accept this man as a "soulmate" of sorts but not confuse that with the feelings you have for your husband (and he with his wife). They are just different kinds of connections. Kind of like the love you have for your parents/children/friends etc. is different from that of your partner.

F**k it ....you have very tight Pluto-Moon conjunction and Pluto-Venus Opposition in synastry.
You'll never be able to get over each other.
His Saturn on your North Node adds to it
Plus the tight Asc- North Node conjunction.

And your Venus your chart ruler conjunct his IC.
Too strong of a connection to pull away from it. I wonder why you two are not together and what is the meaning of your lives if you both love each other so much yet remain separate and obviously live unfulfilled life. What else is more important?

Oh how I wish it were that simple!! I moved away, for many years, and I still live far away. When I met my husband in another country, I fell in love and ended up getting married based on wanting to be in the same country. We reconnected after I was married and he was engaged, had just bought a house, etc. His now wife's ascendant is the same as mine, and they also have a significant chart. I'm biased towards ours, of course, but I feel I'm stuck with the cards I have I guess. In the meantime, I wonder where hardships in terms of intimacy come from in the charts between my husband and I. Take a look...did I mess up my life? I laugh as I say that, because obviously there isn't a right way, but I do feel I missed the chance to be with a real soul mate. That said I love my husband...differently, in a more family oriented way even.

Overall synastry potential is 55%(5.5/10). Barely positive. Semisextile ASC's tend to keep you apart. Your Scorpio Venus is suffering in this overlay--so not pleasant.

Composite potential is 85%: huge discrepancy there. But without synastry support, it would be a struggle. My advice: just stay apart, move on. Find your love somewhere else (husband?).

80%(8/10) overall synastry potential. Your Venus/Mars connection is lovely. You must make effort to communicate, and your feelings help.

65% overall composite potential. Moderately positive: you do OK as a couple with others. And your union is supported well by the mutual synastry potential.

Let your inner heart be your guide.

Gonna have to agree with comdoc here, I find the first synastry and composite deeply problematic. I think your synastry and composite with your husband is much more coherent. It's hard to beat Moon/Moon synastry and a tight Sun/Venus conjunction in a composite. I personally think you made the right choice between these two men.

That Neptune/Sun/Moon+Pluto yod in the first synastry is VERY karmic and fated, but sometimes certain characters are dropped into our lives to spurn movement in another direction due to their hand. Not everything is meant to tasted and fleshed out in a picturesque way.

With your husband's Jupiter/NN conjunction on your IC and your Venus on his DSC, I personally feel you were both destined to be each others long term partners. Kinda crazy you picked two guys with the same Sun and ASC!

Oh you have that backwards, I'm the Scorpio with the libra ascendant : ) they are both taurus suns, hubby with a cancer rising, and fated guy with a virgo rising. But I'm enjoying hearing this about these charts, much appreciated everyone! The percentage ratings always mystify me, I've never approached doing charts this way....but i'm not well versed in synastry really. I focus more on birth charts and solar returns in my practice. I'd love to hear more about how that system works, for rating charts in synastry, or if you have any resources to link, I'd love that. I think the 6th house composite sun is a downer in many ways for a long term partnership, given that the 6th is the 12th house of the 7th, I could place most issues in relationship to that. But of course, no long term partnership is without it's issues, so not looking for perfection...just trying to understand the attractions and the major aspects in play.

Totally agree with this.
