Topic: Should I try to reconnect with my former bff?

Two years ago I cut ties with a girl who I had once considered my best friend. The reason I ended our almost decade-long friendship was because I felt that throughout that time she had used and taken advantage of me (Example: I'm 2 years older than her so when I got my license & car in high school she would constantly ask me to drive her to bf's house an hour away & would never give me gas money). Recently I have been thinking of getting back in touch with her because she graduated from a fashion school and has a small side business selling handmade jewelry on Instagram; I myself have started making my own clothes and hair accessories in the past year and have been toying with the idea of selling them, and she would be a person who could help me since she's had success with it for a few years now. I'm hesitant about reaching out because SHE is the one who should be apologizing and making amends with me; I feel if I am the one to try and restart our friendship she will use me again. What do you think about trying to rekindle our friendship based on our synastry and composite? Keep in mind this is a PLATONIC friendship. Her chart is on the OUTSIDE & her birth time is unknown so I just put noon.

I'm uncertain of her birth time so it's likely that her Moon could be in the late degrees of Libra, but either way, her moon would oppose my sun in a wide orb. Perhaps that's why we became friends in the first place, the wide orb sun-moon opposition, especially since my sun is in my 11th house which is the house of friends. Also, with Uranus entering Taurus next month & thus conjuncting my sun and 11th house cusp I think perhaps I need my most shocking and revolutionary friend back in my life. The 11th also rules advertising and I am actually trying to get a degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and perhaps if I reconnect with my friend who is good at advertising her jewelry on Instagram (11th house rules social media too!) I might also be able to get her to advertise my items and that could possibly help me further my own advertising career goals! However, I do have Uranus in the 7th house which is the house of partnerships (business partnerships too) so I'm worried she'd be unreliable with this endeavor... IP: Logged |

I don’t think you should try to rekindle this relationship. At least not on these grounds. Sounds like you only want to do it because of her recent success with her business. Which, in a way, seems like you might be doing the same thing to her that she did to you. I say let her and the relationship go. IP: Logged |

I think not.You have quite an all or nothing approach to relationships. Your 7th house cusp(Cap) is ruled by Saturn and Pluto squares that. There also is the ruler of the 11th (Ven) square Ura/Nep. And both of these are in the 7th house suggesting that additional to Pluto's influence of the 7th, there is also confusion (Nep)as well as erratic changes(Ura) in close relations. But perhaps the most influential would be the ruler of the Asc(Moon) opposing the Ascendant. And this can suggest someone who is looking for relationships to reflect themselves upon.
Cap Moon can make u sceptical and harbour cynicism and an inability to open up. The square to Mercury in Aries suggests that you act impulsively and usually out of outrage.
You can talk yourself into an angry state. And this Merc/Moon square in Aries/Cap can have you be both subjective and defensive This aspect together with Pluto squaring the DSC ruler is responsible for calling your friendship off. She did use me though. I have the ability to protect myself and cut off friendships if they're toxic, but in this particular friendship she did use me. I am not just looking at my side of things, I was told by family and other friends to stop letting her use me.

My friend has Sun conj mercury in Leo which does show that she might think that she should be able to use people because she's better than them, which she had said unfortunately. She has the typical Sun-Mercury in Leo "I'm better than you" kind of attitude and at times she expressed that by constantly disagreeing with me. She was also outgoing as a typical Leo is and would ditch me to go to parties. I don't think I am wrong to habe ended a friendship where one person ditched and put down the other quite often. I suppose now that this means I shouldn't even want to be her friend again now looking back on it... IP: Logged |

That is what I mean. If indeed she did use you, why do u want to bring her close to you again?Your approach to friendships is serious. So don't let people in who don't care for that or undermine you in ways that bring your defenses up. IP: Logged |

You could have a business relationship while keeping things friendly between the two of you. You have an earth grand trine that could ground her, there's a nice Venus/Mercury Dw in that synastry. There's no need for using her if you both get something out of this partnership. It could work... in theory.In reality however I don't trust planets in the 12th house. From my experience these people can either help you tremendously when nobody believes in you or they will stab you in the back when you least expect it. They can make powerful allies or enemies because they can see your vulnerabilities while staying hidden from your view. Her Mars is in your 12th house, the composite Sun is in your 12th house, composite Mercury conjuncts SN AND she already has a history of using you. Nah. Perhaps her Mars and the composite sun in my 12th has to do with residual past-life bad karma we had to work through in this life via a friendship. Maybe we did work it out throughout our years of friendship and now we simply aren't meant to ever be friends again. It's a very final explanation and kind of bittersweet, but perhaps it's for the best if the friendship isn't restarted.
