And this hit right home, so I have to say its very unfortunate you met someone cold with venus-jupiter.

Venus and jupiter together is one of the best aspects to have. If even that aspect won't make your chart and personality to light up, nothing can^^. The guy you are talking about most likely had other aspects to venus-jupiter or something else in his chart killing the benefits of venus-jupiter itself. One aspect can not give positive vibes to a persons charecter all alone. But I myself can often get lost in one aspect, planet etc :/

Venus is a benificial planet, jupiter also. A person with venus-jupiter conjunction is very generous with its warmth and love towards its loved ones. Very happy go lucky and loving and caring. Jupiter-venus in itself would not make someone be materialistic and care about material things. I can go on but yeah you get the point

So you see, his poor venus is all crushed under all that Chiron-saturn-uranus mess. He already have huge problems according to the chart but I don't know how he handles those energies of course!

So in short your jupiter on this mess of crushed venus, will not lighten things up for him, it will just amplifie it!

This is why things has to be concidered in context. Something i myself are very bad at

Hey now My Venus is not that messed up even though it is in conjunction with Chiron... And opposite Uranus/Saturn. She's just a tad sensitive. And maybe somewhat insecure.

On a serious note I am the Taurus (blue) he's the Capricorn(red).
As for what I expected... I don't know.
With
his Jupiter conjunct my Venus & trine my Moon
his moon conjunct my NN
my Ascendant conjunct his NN
his Venus trine my Sun

I expected something more fun and interesting I guess. But every time he's around me he either avoids any kind of interaction or if he has to talk with me (we're co-workers) he's harsh and abrupt. He even has a Pisces moon to boot.

I just wanted to understand his behaviour I guess.

Ok but I stand my ground on that, the jupiter whomevers it is, amplifies the planet it touches in synastry. For ex, I have a friend and his Aries Mars is on my Jupiter-venus. I amplifie his Mars and we are bickering, a lot! He has a Mars in retrograde, so my Jupietr helps his Mars energy to be forward etc, both negative sides and positive sides will be amplified. For us it really did until we reached a breaking point and he had to apologize, after that it was much better and I started to understand the effect I had on his Aries mars better.

Yes I understand you feel confused by this person. Can you post his chart though? its hard to read it this way^^

I understood that, but even what we've got in our natals, can in a roundabout way describe how it can turn out in relationship charts. Venus and Jupiter together aren't always good, in my experience.

Frugal. Everything he earns and he does earn quite a lot goes into supporting his family (his daughter and his mother). He goes to great lengths to make sure they have all the things they want and much more while he's barely scraping by. I get the feeling that he is living through them a little.
