I am a long time reader, first time poster to this forum. I am posting the synastry/composite for my friend with his permission to get some insight.

The synastry has LOTS of squares. His sun, moon, and mercury are all tightly squared by her saturn, venus, mars, and neptune.

They have been in a long distance relationship for a year, and all of a sudden he is saying that she is moving to where he lives and they are getting married. I am concerned that he will get hurt by her, especially because she has been somewhat dishonest and deceitful towards him in the past.

Do you think a synastry with this many squares can work, or will they make the relationship unsustainable?

I'm particularly concerned about the neptune squares because it seems to me like they are rushing and idealizing the relationship when in reality they haven't spent a lot of time together.

Please note that I don't have accurate birth times for either of them.

Uhh they have moon conjunct venus forming a grand trine with mars and pluto.

That is hot and very romantic.

My concern is that the large amount of squares from saturn, neptune, and mars to his personal planets will cause this to not work out, even though there is that grand trine.

The reason why I'm concerned is that my friend has been struggling with pretty severe depression that he hasn't been getting help for and I don't want him to get worse if it doesn't work out.
