She's an old friend of mine, reaching her 30's, with one great son that she's taking care of, a great artist, poet, musician, she used to be quite hippy and artsy not long ago, until she met this guy, close to 40, conservative as hell, grumpy and quite reclusive. They've been for 2 and a half years already. How these two different human beings have lasted this long?

Synastry

Composite

Cheers

synastry: venus conjunct pluto and psyche conjunct eros stand out to me

in the composite: the stellium conjunction

going by my experience with cancers, the cancer and scorpio planets must be getting along very well

same with leo and libra

Ya answered your own question by accident! It's because they're so opposite and different, in a complimentary way.

As for some aspects:
Venus conjunct Pluto is GREAT, IMO. Great romance, passion, adoration and depth.
Mars + Venus conj dsc - sexually and romantically fulfilling. Mutual energetic stimulation.

Their composite is pretty good, too. Jupiter and Mars in 8th, deep feelings for one and other, sexually compatible. Moon in Leo - romantic spark stays alive in their emotional life. 9th house is higher learning, so together they learn alot.
Squares can add spiciness.

I'm sleepy so that's all I've got to say, but looks pretty good. Gnight lol

The first thing (ofcourse) that caught my eye;
Look at those exact same Lunar Phases!; both 5 deg applying to a New Moon! Same Lunar phases are grrreat for friendship (which ofc an important ingrediënt for relationships)..

A couple with the same thing (exact same lunar phases) has been Paul and Linda Mccartney.

2.5 years is not that long

But yes with my partner we have uranus opposite chiron on the IC/MC angle forming a tsquare with venus. IME uranus tsquares involving chiron generate very lasting relationships bc they are based on love and a deep friendship, chiron is like a super moon that has this healing effect on both parties in composite so it generates feelings of love and healing in aspect to venus specially.

I have such tsquare involving chiron opposite uranus with my two best friends that I lasted with a decade and with my partner that I have lasted now over a decade. Uranus I find to be very forgiving too, like it will take you back, let you come and go and forgiveness is key for a long lasting relationship.

Thank you for your help, I now understand it a lot more.

Didn't see that eros-psyche before, interesting.

The lunar phases really make a difference in people I can see.

@Hypatia: The first year they broke up and made up a lot, it was a rollercoaster until they finally settled, and I think that aspect is the one responsible.

Thank you again for all

Yes about the uranus back and forth thing but that is the thing that IME tsquares involving uranus opposite chiron stick it out even if they do that back and forth stuff, it can go on forever that back and forth or at least a decade IME (2 best friends, 1 partner) but the love is there and there is a strong LOYALTY (Not fidelity necessarily) to each other; like its hard to break that bond up permanently, the two tend to return to each other, there is a deep love and strong friendship. My partner will tell you I have been extremely loyal to him although not faithful and he knows that now but when he found out I was unfaithful one of the things he pointed out is that I have been extremely loyal to him throughout the years and he also owned his part in our problems.

I feel uranian composites should have unconventional arrangements bc one of the two will be very restless and have a strong desire for freedom and variety that the relationship itself brings out more but like I said in spite of the back and forth they tend to stick it out for a very long time.

@ Which makes this even a Bear Hug too! (both natal Sun/Moon midpoints conjunct!) which is mostly not the case when sharing same phases! So: verry special.

Omg, I have that with my boyfriend too. We're both waxing Gibbous, our moons are quincunx but at 24-26 degrees trine our own suns, waxing gibbouses.

But I see one is in Libra at 21 degrees and the other is Cancer 5 degrees? Sorry, I am not greatly familiar with phase of moon but I suspect that it means is position in relation to the Sun in the chart and not the degrees.

It seems that both natals fit well into the composite chart

^ YYUP! In relation to the Sun only. The degrees ofcourse are important but not the signs the Luminaries are in for it to be a same phase angle. And so in their compo we get (ofcourse) the exact same aspect; Moon applying by 5 deg to the Sun (New Moon) as they both natally have.

The math behind any same phase angle; (so you can check it out and be sure )

- the midpoint between his Sun and her Moon is conjunct/opposite the midpoint of her Sun and his Moon.

Does that agree? (the tighter the midpoints the stronger the connection)

(we can find same phase angles between any pair of planets // my Biggest focus is phase
affinity in synastry: so revealing! As if the missing key we were all been waiting for! - I'm unfort still the only one on LL looking at it whaha)
