Like if a guy has Venus in Taurus and a woman has Mercury in Virgo. So their Venus and Mercury would be trine by sign but not by aspect. I know it's not as potent as actually having a trine aspect. But do you count aspects by sign in synastry?IP: Logged |

Maybe not as potent but it definitely counts. Planets see each other and are friendly. Exact aspects, up to two degrees show more potential but aspect by sign, especially easy ones show that planets are seeking each other in a friendly way. They express the energy kn a way that is familiar. Let's say you have trines of Suns by sign but let's say the orb is 15 Deg. By classical interpretation it's no aspect. Notheless planets like each other. IP: Logged |

No. Aspects are geometry. Sign-based generalizations cannot define them.Person A's Venus at 29° Taurus is not nor can it ever be trine Person B's Mercury at 0° Virgo. That is a square every time. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged |
