Mike and I have strong conjunctions, but some tough squares. I don't know what to make of it. In the synastry chart, my cancer moon is conjunct his sun and mars in the eighth house. His moon is barely conjunct my sun, and his MC is closely conjunct my sun. I'm a capricorn and he's a cancer. But his saturn squares my sun. Also his north node is conjunct my Venus and my north node is conjunct his Jupiter.

In the composite, we have sun, moon, venus and the north node all conjunct in Aries. But all four are squared by Saturn in Capricorn!

I just don't know what to make of it. I feel so strongly connected to him, but wonder what the Saturn square has in store for the long term. Ughh! Help! Any thoughts?

From what I've read Saturn squares are good not bad Some call it the glue that holds a relationship together long term

Hope this link helps > http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000809.html

Basic astrology forum, How to approach Synastry http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum12/private-jjLYZw161/HTML/000667.html
To enter this forum you need an extra password – (astrology)

Please remember to reduce the orb ratio down to 40% (ONLY for synastry bi wheel) as the max orb between planets is 3'. Composite should be 85% orbs

when you get this SYNASTRY chart, please also post the *pdf file*, above left of chart look for *view additional tables (PDF)* This will bring up 2pages. Scroll down to last page for the *aspect grid* THIS is very important as it seems to show more aspects than is visible on the bi wheel…

problem is uploading to photobucket (or imageshack) you have to change this from Abode format into a picture/jpeg format. This is done by getting the relevant page/grid in front of you on screen then, the press ‘prtsc sysrq’ - top row inbetween pause break and F12. This has been copied to clipboard.

Paste into Paint or some other photo software. Crop the picture and save to hard drive, then upload to photobucket, select chart, press IMG and past link into thread.... all done

I am interested in this also. Not so much synastry though, but the relationships chart/s (Davison in particular).

They say that composite charts are composed of midpoints, the aspects then are not relevant because midpoints do not give off that energy that planets do and therefore don't interact.

However, it is often that the Davison chart will reflect similar aspects as a composite has of the same people. it is then likely the a Davison chart will have these squares from Saturn as well. And, as the Davison chart is actually planets and not midpoints, the aspects are relevant and have energy.

Anyone else have any info, experiences, thoughts, or actual Davison charts with heavy Saturn aspects to share?

this is my synastry with my fiancee, we have saturn conjunct ascendant in our composite

it hasn't been easy, but we've stayed together through a lot of really hard/bad circumstances and i would say i was still in love with her after about 14 years together and she's told me the same even recently so it's mutual

how people deal with different aspects in synastry is filtered through their individual charts too

a relationship could look easy, and be easy but then someone who craves friction and translates that to mean "passion" would be miserable

Totally agree with that. Which is just that other extra layer to deal with when interpreting charts

If you have time, can you post your Composite and Davison please?

I don’t know whether Saturn squares are the glue that hold things together..

If it’s in synastry you can learn to deal with them, but I imagine a Saturn/Sun square or a Saturn/Venus square to be really uncomfortable in composite or davison.

Whenever I had that with someone the actual relationship never happened.

But maybe it‘s different for someone who is very Capricornian in nature. They might like the coolness and restriction.

It‘s also different if you have other amazing aspects.. like Sun/Moon conj Venus.. Node contacts etc.
Then the relationship will happen... but I still doubt, it‘ll last.
