Then why wouldn't having someone's Moon in your 5th house be an indication of wanting children with that person? Or if the person has a planet in their 5th house and it aspects the other person's personal planet?

Its more complex then that. You have to look at individual charts foremost.
Also which house does their moon rule? What aspects is it doing?

I have cap as 5th house. Saturn n uranus in 4th is opposite my moon. I don't want kids, at all. So if my moon fell into someones 5th, I think it could symbolize, the "lack" of children haha

But I would wanna have pets with that person! Pets is like our childrens now days.

And I'm a hobby photographer, if the partner also is into creative things or photography, the moon there would be an indicator we will be creative together and "make art" together etc

Moon in the 6th house and they have ASC in Cancer. Moon trine Jupiter and conjunct Neptune and Uranus. With Uranus in the 6th and Neptune in the 6th house. Pluto in their 5th house aspects my Moon. They also have Pluto trine Mars. I don't have any planets in my 5th house. But my 5th house is in Sag.

Why are you asking? Is there a special someone you’d want children with?

The 5th house stands for many things.. it’s not just about procreation. So it depends on your individual personalities, and the right timing, not just the planet placement and aspects.

Yes I know the 5th house isn't only about children. Not really anyone special I just have a strong desire to procreate with this person. I don't know what it is I wish we could co-parent.

The fifth house is not the house of procreation, it's just the house of children. Different concepts, similar meanings.

2nd house: sex for pleasure, material gain, material comforts, sex for security and comfort

4th house: home, tradition, family, not really a sex house or children house specifically but since those things fall under home and family it can mean these things pop up occasionally in this house,

5th house: sex for sport, sex for free time/recreation, children in general

8th house: sex for sex, sex for psychological connection, sex for depth and just connecting with someone on a deeper level. children born for the sake of procreation purposes, procreation in general

I guess Moon in 5th could say something about kids but for the most part that placement, in this context, would be saying that there is emotional comfort in 5th house activities.

The 8th house is procreation? I always read that it's the 5th house. Well if that's the case that explains it.

"children" can also be anything you create together as a couple

Yes, the 8th house is the house of procreation as procreation is meant for material security, different from just plain sexual intercourse. 5th house is sex for the fun, for the kick of it. For the thrill and excitement it brings you in that moment, but it often goes away as the moment passes. That's why affairs and children in general are ruled by the 5th house, everything is quick paced, exciting and excitable, the energy is an overall thrill but can get tiring quickly. It's makes sense that a water house is the house of procreation and not a fire house. Fire burns the reproductive areas, metaphorically or literally. Sometimes that's good sometimes that bad.
