Anyone have any experience with aspect in synastry.

Saturn is the 8th and 7th house ruler. Saturn is conjunct AC (in Gemini) in the 12th house in this synastry chart.

Could anyone give me any insight on this aspect? How is the aspect felt by the Saturn owner and the AC owner.

I'd be extremely interested in responses from the 8th house ruler person as well.

I'm the ascendant person in synastry and someone's 8th house ruler (mercury) conjuncts my ascendant. Their 8th house ruler also happens to be the ruler of their venus and mars, so I would assume that is extra significant.

bump, bump, bumpety-bump

Just came across this by chance again. Has no one experienced their 8th house ruler conjunct someone's ascendant in synastry? Would be so interested to hear how that felt.

Not sure if it counts or not, but Jupiter rules my 5th (Sag cusp) and co-rules my 8th (Pisces cusp), and was almost exactly conjunct the ASC (Virgo) of a person I fell deeply in love with.

I fell in love with her Soul and our past connection/relationship and not her present personality. When I first met and interacted with her, her personality was tipped to the narcissistic and towards the borderline feel/expression of same. I saw warning signs from the get go, but ignored them because my heart was singing with happiness at being reunited/connected with her. The spiritual and energetic connection was powerful and nearly overwhelming. If she had been anyone else, or had any other meaning to me, I would have likely not gotten close to her.

It was a very intense connection, especially for me. I had an expanding effect on her self esteem in some ways, but I also would try to get her to see her shadow, which she really didn't like (very hyper sensitive and defensive ego).

She had intense feelings and attraction to me, but she suppressed/repressed these as much as she could, and she is VERY good at this in general (but was especially motivated in relation to me, because I brought up A LOT of fear and discomfort on some very deep levels). For example, she has Moon in Scorpio conjunct Pluto conjunct IC, and Pisces Venus conjunct PIsces Saturn. Aries Sun in the 8th House. South Node conjunct her Chart ruler Mercury in the ultra stubborn/fixed Sign of Taurus.

She was a taker, I was a giver, but she came into my life to help teach me boundaries, self worth, and discernment, and I came in her life to try to help open up her heart and show her that vulnerability is a strength and not a weakness. Hopefully we had a bit of a balancing affect on each other. That was the purpose of the connection/reconnection between two very different and yet very connected twin souls.

This Tarot reading said it very well:

I have my Ac and 8th house ruler Venus conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 1st house. My Venus-Pluto was conjunct this guy's Venus-NN in the 1st house and his Ascendant.
All I can say is that the first time I saw him I felt my soul opening bare, it was attraction at first sight but a spiritual rather than a physical one. It took me years to arrive to a point of balance in my emotions and to accept the difficulties and obstacles that made a normal relationship impossible for various reasons. It has been a powerful spiritual experience, a major awakening; the connection pushed me to study astrology harder as well as Buddhism and I began to understand what non-attachment means because if I hadn't understand it I would have suffered in an inimmaginable way during separation. I told him about my feelings 2-3 years after that first encounter and we remained friends through messages and had a little bit of flirting too. I forgot to say that we managed to be intimate just one time and the physical aspect was nothing I had ever experienced; his touch was everything I had been waiting for unknowingly and it was magic and intense. It's been four years since I saw him the last time and I think that due to that NN conjunction we are still waiting for a reunion in the future -we talked about the possibility of it.
Also his Venus is the ruler of his DSC and 7th; both our Venus are the rulers of our south nodes.
Not sure this helps but that's the story in brief

Thank you to both of you for giving such detailed feedback. That's really helpful and it seems that you both experienced this aspect as truly profound, just as I would have imagined. I was the ac in the connection and I had someone's mercury conjuncting it, which was not only his 8th but also his 5th house ruler. The sexual attraction I believe was mutual and very strong (but that may have been explained through other sexual aspects) but in terms of the connection there seemed a lot of push pull, reluctance and finally denying it from his side.At least partly this may have been caused by the fact that his 5th and 8th house ruler not only conjuncted my ascendant...but my saturn as well. Sure, Saturn happened to be my 8th house ruler, so there was a 8th house ruler conjunction in both directions...but it's still saturn. Plus my saturn conjuncted his DC, so this may have been just a bit too heavy..

I hesitated to answer the question, because Synastry is often so complex and multi leveled, just focusing on one condition is not very accurate/helpful. There is A LOT of stuff going on between our charts.

And interestingly, the ruler of her Sun, 8th House, and co-ruler of her Moon--Mars, is almost exactly conjunct my ASC as well, and opposed my Venus--ruler of my Moon and MC.

Then Venus (ruler of her Chart ruler placement and South Node) and Saturn (ruler of her 5th House) are in my 8th House and opposed my Saturn (ruler of my Sun and Mercury, and faster moving ruler of my Venus and DESC), and my Mars Jupiter conjunction.

Lot's of 7th House stuff as well.
